Shawn Adkins: I was shocked when I heard about it. Like I said, I had a hard time believing it. I still do. I don’t wanna believe that that type of stuff is on my mother’s computer. All I know is that I did not put them there, and I had no knowledge about it, and neither did my mother or my brother.

Shawn Adkins: I have no idea. There’s been so many people use that computer, it’d be hard to say. I know it wasn’t me, my mother, or my brother.

/sigh  I probably shouldn't say that, just having a bad day.  One of my two very old cats passed away today.  Granted, it was in her sleep, she was doing great, and even had been getting lots of lap time lately (rare of her to want it - I think she knew she didn't have much time left).  So I'm just ..... caught somewhere between wanting to cry and wanting to find a punching bag.

Then I come on and read that things are changing on the child porn, and now we've said all this stuff based on what was supposed to be a fact given publicly by an official spokesperson for the LE on a news outlet.  So *I* feel guilty for saying things about it.  And then hearing new DA confirmations but I feel reluctant to believe anything anymore because it feels like I get good and worked up, and really hurt over this stuff, just to find out that the facts are always changing.

I'd like some cheese with my WHINE please!!!

On Peter Hyatt's show tonight he said two things that I found interesting.

1.  Peter said that the DA confirmed to him that the 3:00-3:15 story
(where Shawn said that he last saw Hailey going to her Dad's and then
MB's to spend the night) was a story first invented by Billie and not by Shawn.

2.  The DA told Peter that all of his other information was correct except
there was no child porn found on the memory stick in Billie's dresser.

Well, that frees BD up from going to jail for cp.  I wonder if they'll still nail SA for it.

I'm a little perplexed about the DA verifying stuff.. it seems weird to me, not that I'm doubting it.  I don't see how PH would be able to say this stuff without the DA coming out immediately and saying elsewise if it were anything but true.

I agree.  I keep giving the investigators the benefit of the doubt that dots are being connected behind the scenes which imply that Shawn's arrest is imminent.  However ... as time goes by and nothing is happening ....

 

I hope everybody had a good Sunday.  I did but ... I am wiped.  It is sooo good to be home.  The peace and quiet of just hubby and me puttering around the house is wonderful.  I must be getting old.

I may be wrong but I think I wasn't answered quite a while back when I asked this question...the MySpace page of the young Adkins kid (can't rem his name)mentioned on here early on has a couple blurbs about Hailey and when she went missing.  What I wanted someone to look at was where he posted, this is not verbatim, he posts about Hailey missing and then something like "Hailey please come home, I talked to your Mom and she's not mad".  Does anyone recall if we know what he meant or if someone that knows him asked?  Tater, maybe you could help on this one?  TIA to anyone who can enlighten my few brain cells.  Gotta go to work soon and ain't likin' the new time!

I seem to remember something like that being said by a friend of Hailey's too. I think it was just intended in case she did run away because LE treated it like a runaway case in the beginning. In the mind of those friends/teens it could have been hard to grasp or accept that maybe something else could have happened.

Well Tater I went back to look so I could post exactly what was said and who I was talking about and presto...any mention of Hailey is gone!  It is SA's little brother, Tyler Adkins FB page and not MySpace I saw it on and it was around Dec. 27, 28, or 29 that he said that on.  Did someone here screen cap it?  Not that it was that important but I wanted to know why he was saying to Hailey that her Mom wasn't mad now? 

Yes it's been gone a while. A friend of Hailey's also said something like, Come home Hailey, your Mom isn't mad.
I am pretty sure they were saying if she ran away Billie wouldn't be mad because LE was saying she was a runaway.
I never thought she ran away.

Is it possible that PH's conversation with BD was of enough interest and maybe yielded some tidbit that LE has included in the case and that makes PH part of the investigation?  Maybe he's speaking from the 'I've been questioned about this and I know what I can and can't say cause I'm a lawyer' perspective?

It is difficult for me to comprehend why investigators would share inside info from within the Hailey Dunn investigation with Peter Hyatt and/or the hosts of BTHN ... afford them permission to reveal on the BTHN show what is being shared.  It seems so unprofessional.  What about a thing called a press conference.

On the March 10th BTHN show ... within minutes of Rachel (BTHN) informing listeners that LE had instructed her and Bee not to have Shawn or Billie on the show ... she accepted Billie's call and ... allowed Peter to interview her.

Something is sooo wrong with this picture when the following transcript is considered.
