I went to physical therapy today and I had on my Grumpy t-shirt.  He looked and said I don't see you as Grumpy.  I turned to him and said you haven't seen me at home. Laughing  Laughing .

How is therapy coming along?  What percent are you at now?

You know Klaas it seems that I am at a stand still right now.  I can move my arm and I have strength in it.  Still when I lift it it feels like it is weighted down a little but I can move it all around it just feels heavy.  As far as the hand goes I can move my fingers but not as good as my other hand.  They feel stiff and my pinky curls but I move them.  It is the fine things that are hard for me to do.  Like picking up change or grabbing a pen to write.  I can write but not like I used to.  I still do not hold a cup of coffee in my hand because what happens is that all of a sudden it can slip.  It won't slip if I am concentrating on holding it.  I would say my hand is at 65-70 percent.  If it would even go to 80% I think I would feel more comfortable about returning to work.

I wonder if crocheting would help build up strength in your hand and fingers?

San, I know we get things in our head about how folks may look in here.

I envision you as small or petite. Am I wrong? It maybe because of your avatar that I think that way.

Of course like some of us told Igsigs last night , on the internet you can be anyway you want to be. I said I was young and could still dance the way I used to.

Tall and chubby Laughing .

But if you want to envision me as small and petite please do Laughing

The last time I tried crocheting I was in the 5th grade.  I made a little blanket and quit Laughing .    My mother kept that blanket for years.  I recently went to look for it and I couldn't find it.  I think my sister threw it out that moron. Evil or Very Mad

San that sounds awful to endure. How long have you been off work? Are you eligible for SS disability yet?

My couisin had an arm injury. She has some of the same type symptons you describe. She was a haistylyst. She could no longer do that and she draws SS disability. A much higher rate than she would have drawn on straight SS.

Sam right now I am on disability from my old job.  My next step will have to be SS disability.  My sister keeps nagging me to go there and apply.  There is just a part of me that is reluctant to do so.

Is there any time limit on your work disability? Just do not go back to work unless you are fully ready or I think the wait on SS starts agai.

I should be getting a call any day now and they will review me and see if there was any progress then they will advise me if it is extended or not.
