"Gypsies, Tramps, & Thieves" v. Washington Politicians

There is an old song about "Gypsies, Tramps, & Thieves" and how they survive, making ends meet, just trying to get by on little or nothing.

Meanwhile, outsiders, like politicians in Washington and the White House, enjoy themselves...calling the little people that provide their entertainment "Gypsies, Tramps, & Thieves" and leaving little coin and poverty in their wake.

"Billions in Bloat Uncovered in Beltway"

A report from the nonpartisan GAO, to be released Tuesday, compiles a list of redundant and potentially ineffective federal programs, and it could serve as a template for lawmakers in both parties as they move to cut federal spending and consolidate programs to reduce the deficit. Sen. Tom Coburn (R., Okla.), who pushed for the report, estimated it identifies between $100 billion and $200 billion in duplicative spending. The GAO didn't put a specific figure on the spending overlap.

The agency found 82 federal programs to improve teacher quality; 80 to help disadvantaged people with transportation; 47 for job training and employment; and 56 to help people understand finances, according to a draft of the report reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

The more the nation spend on education, the dumber our graduates seem to be.  Yesterday's students seem to have achieved more with their sixth and eighth grade educations than those that 'earn' Obama's highly prized 'credentials' after spending sixteen or more years in various educational systems, and accumulating billions in student expenses either for themselves, their parents, or taxpayers.

The more the nation spends, the more disappointing the results.

Who profits?  Public school workers, private non-profit educational institutions, and others that get paid without providing a quality eduction.

Barney seemed to have one of the loudest voices shouting "Freddie and Fannie" are sound, and for some reason, the "Dodd-Frank" bill seems to have failed already...what was the point?

The GAO highlighted 80 different economic development programs at the Department of Commerce, HUD, Department of Agriculture and Small Business Administration, that spent a combined $6.5 billion last year and often overlapped. For example, the four agencies combined to have 52 different programs that fund "entrepreneurial efforts," 35 programs for infrastructure, and 26 programs for telecommunications. It said 60% of the programs fund only one or two activities, making them "the most likely to overlap because many of them can only fund the same limited types of activities."

I recall from last year, that Reno's Homeland Security also spends money on a number of new 'rent assistance' programs and such.  I'm thinking that DHS will also start providing energy assistance and other programs that are not related to securing 'our' troubled southern border with Mexico and ending the violence, drug trafficking, human smuggling, and illegal immigration.  Again, she'll complain of not having enough money...where oh where is she spending it?

Washington politicians and the White House bash honest Americans in the states for trying to cut spending and live within the means taxpayers can provide.  What is their answer for our economic woe?  Raise taxes and send more money to squandering, wasteful, Washington and White House politicians.

I believe little if any of this spending by Washington and the White House is constitutional.

People should be allowed to keep the fruit of their labor, decide on charitable spending based on their personal believe system and ability to contribute, and keep political hands out of their pockets, family, and personal business.

Freedom from oppression for all Americans.
