I think it's interesting that Lee was not included. It appears he has washed his hands of Casey and her antics. After being on the stand this week, I do believe Uncle Lee will be Caylee's unsung hero and instrumental in acheiving a measure of justice for his niece.

Jeremy Lyons, the detective just had a yellow legal paper folded in his hand...just like Casey folds the legal papers..I bet they are passing notes back and forth that way...is that supposed to happen???

He's the defense's PI but I gotta tell ya I have never witnessed a defendant directly handing notes to anyone other than their attorneys at the table.  Usually, the attorney(s) would be communicating with staff & staff would go directly to the attorney(s).  I have been also very curious why this level of communication is not being addressed.

Dumb question here!  What are the Frye hearings?   

Taken from Amil's post:  "InSession said to CA they would not show up unannounced and it would be around March 22. They'll call the attorney's office and set it up. I don't know what they were talking about."

It sure looks like InSession is going to interview them.   Take note of the date as it is the day before the Frye hearings are set to be heard.

They chose their side now they need to deal with it.

The court will rule they are not "next of kin" to the victim. Her mother was her "next of kin" and she killed her. I am thinking her father will be in that courtroom. With all the evidence the state has of contradicting testimony in depositions there is no way they will allow them to be in that courtroom.

I have to say I wondered when this was coming because they NEED to be there to keep their stories straight.

I think that says it all..........."Custody does not occur because questioning takes place in a building containing jail cells.   Custody does not occur because a person is interrogated as the prime suspect in a crime.   In addition, custody does not necessarily occur even when police question a suspect after having established probable cause for arrest and with the secret intention of charging the suspect at a future time.

Frye hearings are hearings based on Motions in Limine to argue on the admissibility of scientific evidence and its resulting expert testimony.  The Daubert standard is pretty much the same thing but may include other expert testimony that is used in all federal courts & approximately half of the state courts.  The names derive from cases that established the basis.

Morning all.  I was kind of hoping that we would have rulings today, even though JBP said next week.  I was hoping that JBP knew his decisions based on Duffense side being sooday lame, and just said he would rule next week to make Bozo et al think he might, could possibly rule in their favor. But, no rulings yet, although it is early. 

I was reading over at another forum some this morning and some of them over there think that the Universal interview will get tossed and that the State does not need it.  I don't think they need it either, and that the only thing they need and have is "31 days," but I do not think she was in custody in Universal, so I think it should be allowed.

no matter what gets tossed..no one can dispute the 31 days that it took the ho to report her daughter missing..and even at that, Cindy reported Caylee missing, not her own mother
