Search Of Landfills Turned Up 'Possible' Evidence In Hailey's Disappearance

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- A spokesman for the investigation into a missing 13-year-old West Texas girl says dogs searching one of three landfills turned up "possible" evidence in the case – even as hope remains for her safe return.

Colorado City Manager Pete Kampfer declined to elaborate Tuesday on what was found or why the landfill in Abilene was searched in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn.

Kampfer confirmed to KTXS News Tuesday afternoon that the word "possible" must be included in the statement about evidence found.

He told KTXS News that "possible evidence" was found in the landfill searches, but authorities have not yet determined whether the "hits" previously reported could become evidence to be used in a trial.

Kampfer said searchers used cadaver dogs also in the Colorado City and Snyder landfills.

So, I wonder if any of the new child porn found contains any of Hailey???    I surely hope not.  Even so, if he was CREATING any of these images (which we don't know at this point) - and even if he wasn't the one, my heart just breaks for those children.  Curious if there are any local kiddos in those pictures. 

If he created it, that is free for him and could be put up for sale. If it was purchased and downloaded there would be records of that transaction somewhere, I would think. If it was shared within a group of people, that might also be traceable. Am I correct? If I am, that means Shawn and accomplice/s if there are any will be in it deep doo too.

Maybe selling photos was so lucrative he felt like he could quit his job. But wait, he didn't quit his job that day.

Another court document says more than 108,000 images were found on a computer taken from Shawn Adkins' mother's house in Big Spring. Shawn Adkins is the boyfriend of Hailey Dunn's mother.

Those pictures depicted "deviant acts" according to the documents. Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs tells NewsWest 9, those images included child pornography and bestiality.

Sheriff Toombs tells NewsWest 9, Hailey was not in any pictures on the seized computer.

Sheriff Toombs says the District Attorneys Office, Sheriff Department and the Texas Rangers are all working together to figure out who, if anyone, will be charged.

OOOPS..don't even ask..I had a cute little post in response to one of Capps and put the dancing Monkey doing the slide at the end..somehow only the dancing Monkey  through.  I'll take that as it came..maybe the Universe thought the best part of the post was a Monkey doing the slide...lol

Any road..it is Friday night and Shawn is probably creeping in the darkness, in camo gear and face paint back into Billie Jean's bedroom window..wanna place bets..anyone..anyone?

I sure cant bet against those two not getting together.   What I think is going on here is that while LE has to conduct their investigation its Shawn & Billie playing their own cat and mouse game with each other...toxic fools.

ITA  This is just like their little 'He said he's gonna hurt me' incident with all those 911 calls last year.  It's like their twisted little relationship 'feeds' off of this.  They wanna kill each other, have each other arrested, and then have to 'sneak' to see each other again...like they get a 'high' off of it.  'I'm gonna kill you!!!', 'I'm calling the PD!', 'She's a nut.  I love her so much.', 'Psssttt...wanna sneak in tonight?' 

They're both into violence as a hobby; it wouldn't surprise me at all if this is indeed a sort of 'high' or thrill of some sorts to them.

I wouldn't be suprised if this is the case.  And VERY different than a requested PO.

Billie also said that the PO was that he couldnt come near her PROPERTY.    No, that is not what a PO or a TRO or RO does.   They are designed to order an individual not to come within a stated distance of an INDIVIDUAL, no matter where that INDIVIDUAL is.    This had to be explained to her explicitly so its interesting that she is even lying about that

Here is a little theory that popped in to my overworked brain.  Forensic computer analysts going through the thumb drive find images that were not on the computer.  That device can't download anything, so I guess that might be the clue for them to get the warrant a search for more devices.

I also think that Billie may have tried to get out of trouble by stating that she was afraid of Shawn & that is why she lied (cant be the truth because Shawn called LE himself and said he was indeed at her house as reported by the Snyder paper referenced in an earlier post here).   The judge in his wisdom (believing her or not) may have said "Okay, Ms. Dunn I'll tell ya what I'll order a Protective Order against Shawn Adkins and he cannot come near you within X distance."   If they disregard that Order, Shawn and/or both can actually be taken into custody.   

A PO or as in other states it is referred to as an TRO or RO (if permanent) orders an individual to stay away from a person, not a property.  Also, in most states a temporary one is issued with a court date to determine if a permanent order will be issued, I'll have to look at the pertinent Texas statute.

I believe it was the judge's order AFTER Billie tried to get out of trouble for lying to LE by stating she was afraid.   Considering Shawn called LE to state that he was in the house indicates to me that BILLIE was the one that didnt want LE to talk to Shawn.    Also take note that in one of her direct statements to the press that "they were arguing."   She didnt say "he came over and I was petrified what he would do" no she said "they were arguing."

Speaking of which...It might be a good idea for LE to request kindly or get a subpoena for people close to Billie & Shawn as they may be communicating with those individual's phones (i.e. Shawn's mother, Billie's mother, etc. etc).

Its rather obvious that they must be aware that their phones may be tapped.

I wonder if part of her bonding out is that she has to take drug tests.   I don't see that Billie is going to be able to stay away from her non-prescribed drugs very long.   Besides the withdrawal, she is under some intense stress with all the lying and dancing around she has had to do.  And, she is alone.   No Shawn.   No David.    No Clint.    And no Hailey.    It must be eating at her every minute.

Billie Dunn Says she Filed No-Trespassing Order against Adkins

The mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn said she filed a no trespassing order against her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.

Billie Dunn said investigators found disturbing messages about her in Adkins' cell phone Thursday. She didn't wish to go into detail, but described the content as "threatening."

Dunn said Adkins can't come on her property for a year under the order she filed Friday.

"He made threats against me. I don't think he sent them anywhere. They were just on the memo pad...I got scared and I didn't want him to be able to come over here at all anymore," she said.
