Why does Clint feel Billie needs support?   Did he not see she was arrested for lying to police about Shawn??   Did he not read nor hear that Billie & Shawn are the only POI's??   Did he not hear Billie saying that she failed the polygraph, specifically on questions about Hailey's location and her own involvement in Hailey's disappearance?

It appears to be Clint.  IMO, neither Billie or Clint have lead an exemplary life and it's possible Billie has something on Clint.  Could be lots of reasons he's defending her.

Clint has disregarded the words within the revealed affidavits from the getgo ... the words that imply that both Shawn and Billie were not forthcoming to investigators in regards to the happenings encompassing the disappearance of Hailey.

COLORADO CITY, Texas -- Hailey Dunn’s father said Wednesday that he doesn’t believe his estranged wife Billie Dunn would have hurt their daughter.

Clint Dunn responded to questions after a KTXS News story Tuesday night that provided details of law enforcement findings in affidavits that were used to secure search warrants in the case.

The affidavits revealed a list of inconsistencies in statements from Billie Dunn and her former live-in boyfriend Shawn Adkins. The affidavits also detailed failed polygraph tests by both of them and a sordid reading list of articles about murder and other other topics.

Clint Dunn, however, said he’s known Billie Dunn for 20 years, and he said he doesn’t think she would hurt their child.

Could it be that the past distancing of Shawn in the happenings encompassing the disappearance of Hailey by both Clint and Billie indicate that all three are beholding to each other in regards to aspects of their respective/mutual lifestyles ... in regards to illegal wrongdoing that may or may not have nothing to do with the Hailey Dunn case?

In response to Sheriff Toombs comments, Billie Dunn told KRBC's Jessica Reyes the accusations were not true. She says she and Adkins haven't seen each other since her arrest on Thursday.


MY NOTE:    It is not considered a protective order if it only prevents someone from being on a property...that is indeed a No Trespassing Order.

The search warrant affidavit signed by 132nd District Judge Ernie Armstrong in connection with the search of the home of Shawn Adkins’ grandmother revealed nothing into the disappearance of a missing Colorado City teenager.
Adkins is the only named suspect in the Hailey Dunn disappearance and the affidavit only notes the teen once. During the course of the disappearance, law enforcement discovered “obscene, sexually deviant and/or pornographic images stores” on several electronic devices.

The items included Adkins’ cell phone, a USB memory stick he owned, a computer belonging to Christina Walker, Adkins’ mother, and a second computer located in Renee Norwood’s home in Dunn.

“While I was in the house at 30 County Road 4132 in Dunn, Texas, I saw two other computers in the house, six cameras including two Kodak Easy Share cameras, an SD memory card and a memory stick,” stated J. Bruce Flournoy with the Garza County sheriff’s office and also is a forensic computer examiner. Flournoy — who is among the officers working with the multi-agency task force searching for the teen — turned in the document to Armstrong, which were signed on March 16.

“She just refused to tell officers that Adkins was in her house and lied to them,” said Toombs. Officers who had a search warrant for Adkins tried to find him Thursday in Big Spring where they last knew he was living, but he was not there, Toombs said.

Officers later found Adkins at Dunn’s residence where he was searched, but not arrested.

Officers arrested Dunn after she denied that Adkins was there and also found the drugs while searching her house, Toombs said.

Dunn was released from jail Friday after posting $6,500 bail. She had declined to have an attorney appointed. The sheriff said Dunn and Adkins have been seeing each other on and off for the past few weeks.

No arrests were made Friday. “We’re hoping there’ll be arrests down the road,” said Toombs, adding that tips continue to come in. “We are still searching on the leads that we get.” He also said Dunn has not been named as a person of interest. But, “her arrest yesterday does not help her cause.”

Toombs said as many as 15 officers continue to work the case, the puzzle pieces of which have come together “slower than we would have hoped.” Investigators hang onto hope and “hate” to think Hailey may be found dead, Toombs said.

“We try not to think about that but that is a possibility.”

UPDATE 3:10 p.m.: Billie Jean Dunn admitted this afternoon to lying to police about the whereabouts of her former live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.

After her release from the Mitchell County Jail, Dunn briefly addressed the media outside her home in Colorado City this afternoon.

“He (Adkins) had come over here on his own and I had called his mother to come get him,” Dunn said.

Dunn was asked if she was lying about not knowing what happened to her daughter, Hailey Dunn, who was last seen Dec. 27.

“I am not lying," Dunn said. "Clint (Hailey's father) and I are doing everything we can to look for her (Hailey).”
