Just a few days after the mother of Hailey Dunn claimed to have cut off ties with her former boyfriend and the only named suspect in her daughter's disappearance, law enforcement says the pair met in Scurry County over the weekend.
Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs says his investigators have learned Billie Dunn and Shawn Adkins met up in Snyder on Saturday evening.

ITA  This is just like their little 'He said he's gonna hurt me' incident with all those 911 calls last year.  It's like their twisted little relationship 'feeds' off of this.  They wanna kill each other, have each other arrested, and then have to 'sneak' to see each other again...like they get a 'high' off of it.  'I'm gonna kill you!!!', 'I'm calling the PD!', 'She's a nut.  I love her so much.', 'Psssttt...wanna sneak in tonight?'

Protective Orders and TROs are Not the Same

In Texas, protective orders are different from temporary restraining orders, or TROs. Only protective orders are criminally enforceable. This means that if a person subject to a protective order violates the terms of the order, he or she can be arrested and may face jail time for violating the order. For example, if the alleged abuser shows up at the victim's house late at night, the victim can call the police and have the abuser arrested for violating the order.

Temporary restraining orders, on the other hand, are only enforceable by a judge. TROs are typically filed in cases where the parties already have a lawsuit pending, like in a divorce, in order to protect property and the parties involved in the case. For example, TROs generally are automatically issued in divorce cases to prevent one spouse from destroying or selling property owned jointly or by the other spouse. TROs also can order one party not to harm, threaten or harass the other party or their children.

In general, protective orders offer greater protection to victims of domestic violence than restraining orders. An individual can file for both types of orders. In some cases, however, a person may not qualify for a protective order, but will qualify for a restraining order. For example, those who fear they may be harmed by a loved one but have not yet been harmed or threatened

Sometime I get so frustrated with this case.  Time marches on and Hailey Dunn is still missing.  Many red flags are waving in the direction of the main suspect in the case and the one who is covering for him but ... Shawn and Billie's legal rights appear to surpass the God-given right that was afforded to this little girl ... the God-given right to life.

I am giving the task force investigating the Hailey Dunn case the benefit of the doubt that behind the scenes the dots are being connected and ... at least one arrest is forthcoming.

Papa and I are taking our now 13 year old grandson out for lunch and ... then selecting a birthday gift of his choice is where it is at.  We get the drift.  Apparently ... our taste in clothing and music for this young man doesn't cut it any more.

Billie Dunn is a little too late hiring an attorney.   She has already admitted she lied to the police on camera.   No taking that one back.   She has incriminated herself so many times changing the time line of Hailey's disappearance along with changing what happened too.


I don't think a lawyer is going to be able to do much for her now.   And if she is anything like Shawn, she wont' listen anyway !
