Family and school searching for missing Vail teen

VAIL - The Pima County Sheriff's Department along with the FBI and other agencies are searching for a missing Vail teenager believed to be with a 19-year-old man from Utah.

Thirteen year old Ashley Kingsbury was reported missing on Monday when her father came home and noticed she was gone. Her family has not heard from her since.

Investigators said Ashley was communicating with Jordan Anthony through social networking sites and text messages. They are calling it an endangered missing person's case, not an abduction because they said the two set up a meeting and Ashley might have left on her own.

"From what investigators have gone through it has been determined it's possible she left on her on accord," Jason Ogan with the Pima County Sheriff's Department said.

But the family said the way they found the home Monday shows signs of a struggle. Her room was trashed, broken glass on the ground, and her belongings were all still there.

FBI agents removed bedding and broken glass from Ashley's room, in addition to dusting for fingerprints, Albert Kingsbury said.

Ashley is described as:

    * Caucasian female
    * 5'2"
    * About 95 pounds
    * Brown hair
    * Green eyes

Jordan is described as:

    * Asian male
    * About 6'1"
    * About 140 pounds
    * Brown hair
    * Brown eyes

Ogan says the pair may be in a silver Hyundai Elantra. The car has a Utah license plate of Z75-4UV.

Anyone with information on the case is urged to call 911 or 88-Crime.

Authorities are searching for a missing 13-year-old Arizona girl believed to have been taken to Utah by a man she met on the Internet, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Ashley Kingsbury, who police describe as 5 feet 2 inches tall with brown hair and hazel eyes, disappeared Monday from her Tucson home.

Investigators believe the child is in danger and say she likely left voluntarily with a 19-year-old man, identified as Jordan Anthony, who Ashley had been corresponding with on social networking sites, according to the newspaper.

Adult who took off with runaway teen may only face luring charges

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) – Pima County Sheriff's investigators have notified authorities in Utah to be on the look out for 13-year old Ashley Kingsbury. They believe she's a run away who took off with Jordan Anthony, a 19-year old. The two were last seen in a Hyundai Elantra with Utah license plates.

Meanwhile, Carrie Kingsbury, a tearful and broken-hearted mother, is filled with worry not knowing if her daughter is safe.

"If anybody knows anything or has any information that they think might help please just let us know matter how small it is," said Kingsbury. "It's the most horrible thing ever."

Capt. Chris Nanos confirmed to Nine On Your Side that evidence including emails and text messages paint Ashley as a run away. And, that's why they did not trigger an amber alert.

"Right now the indication is she left with someone she knew," said Capt. Nanos.

According to a police report obtained by KGUN9 News, Jordan met Ashley on a social website more than a year ago.

Capt. Nanos admits while Jordan is not considered dangerous, what is not known are his intentions.

"He has a roommate who we have been in contact with," said Capt. Nanos. "It is our belief that he was going to come to Tucson to pick her up and take her back to Utah."

Still, Capt. Nanos will only say Jordan may only face luring charges for taking off with the underage girl.

According to the police report, both parents knew about their relationship. However, Jordan's mother told detectives she thought Ashley was 16, not 13. ::snipping2::

Missing AZ teen Ashley Kingsbury found in TX with UT man she met online


VEIL, Arizona -- Ashley Kingsbury, the 13-year-old Veil, Arizona girl who has been missing since Monday was found with 19-year-old Jordan Anthony in Galveston, Texas early Friday morning.

It is apparent from information found on Anthony's Facebook page that he his struggling in life and was reaching out for help. Read: A look at man still on the run with missing AZ teen.

According to a KSL news report another young girl, Felicity Wilkey, just had her own encounter with Anthony that resulted in her parents calling police. Examiner.com will report more on this shortly and will include a link.

At about 1:30 a.m. Texas time Ashley’s father posted an update on the Help Bring Ashley Kingsbury Home Facebook page stating:

“THEY FOUND ASHLEY!! My wife and I are on our way to go get her. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS. Without you this would not have happened.”

Missing Tucson-area girl found in Galveston

The sheriff's department said Friday that 13-year-old Ashley Kingsbury and 19-year-old Anthony Jordan were located on a Galveston,Texas, beach.

The sheriff's department says a Galveston bank teller recognized the pair and contacted authorities.

Both the girl and the suspect are in Galveston police custody. Charges against Jordan are pending as the investigation continues.

A sheriff's department spokesman says Jordan and the girl had met on a networking web site and had planned to meet last Monday.
