4D, I have been thinking about you and your sister.  A second opinion sounds like it is in order here (and always).  She may even need a third opinion if the first two do not agree.  My Grandmother had pernicious anemia.  I have been anemic off and on since I was a kid.  I bet your sister feels terrible.  You are a Godsend to her.  I have been praying for all of you.  Do you think it is to the point where she may need to stay with you or is she with her family?

Please feel free to ignore anything that is too personal.  I ask because I care.  Feel free to email me if I can do anything to help.

My sisters bought a place with 12 acres 8 mi from me when I was going through treatment so that I wouldn't be alone. They have since both retired and moved up here permanently and live together. We are the only family left..widows and the sister in the hospital has step kids from her husband but they are her age and older.(long story) and don't have contact. They were both there for me and I feel that I need to be proactive because this is really scary. I don't understand why the insurance company hasn't required a 2nd opinion. She should be home first part of the week and we'll try to get her to agree to a second opinion.
