Sweetwater's police chief said Tuesday that an area attorney allegedly pulled a gun on a police officer before being arrested early Monday morning.

Attorney John Young was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and taken to the Nolan County Jail, where he was released after posting a $12,000 bond.

Young, who most recently has been in headlines for representing Billie Dunn, mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, has been an attorney in numerous high-profile criminal cases — including bigamy charges (later dropped) against House of Yahweh leader Yisrayl Hawkins — ranging from murder to a mauling by a pit bull.

According to Sweetwater Police Chief Jim Kelley, around 12:15 a.m. Monday, an on-duty officer was "staying at a house in the 2100 block of Robert Lee with his ex-wife."

"He stopped by there to get a glass of tea," Kelley said, when the officer noticed a car behind the house that he "assumed was Mr. Young's." The officer approached the front of the vehicle, at which point Young exited his vehicle "yelling" at the officer, calling him a "threat," the police chief said.

Young then pulled a 9 mm handgun from behind him and pointed it "right in the officer's face," Kelley said.

The officer told Young to stop pointing the weapon at him, then "knocked the gun hand away," at which point the two started scuffling, Kelley said.

"I don't know how long the scuffle occurred, but other officers arrived and helped (the) officer handcuff Mr. Young," Kelley said.

Billie Dunn Gets Probation, Moves Away 6/16/11

The mother of missing Colorado City teenager, Hailey Dunn, will be serving one year probation after pleading no contest to lying to authorities.

Billie Dunn is currently living in the Austin area where she will serve her sentence.

She must also pay a $1,000 fine and $232 in court costs.

KTXS News discovered that Billie Dunn’s home in Colorado City is now padlocked.
The charge stems from a March incident when she lied about the whereabouts of her live-in boyfriend Shawn Adkins.

Some people are speculating that Adkins may be moving to the Austin area as well but that has not been confirmed.

Billie Dunn, the mother of missing Colorado teen Hailey Dunn, was sentenced on Wednesday, for lying to a police officer.

Dunn was given one year of probation.

She'll serve it in Austin where she now lives.

You'll recall Dunn was arrested by the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office back in March.

Two other charges against her, hindering apprehension and having a dangerous drug, were dropped.

Well well now!  Billie's daughter is gone, her Son I assumed still with her brother, she gets a slap on the hand for her crimes and she and perv ride off in the sunset together just like they wanted it.  Oh they make me sick and boiling mad!  I think I said this is what would happen at the very beginning.  I still think perv liked Hailey, Mom was jealous and boom!  Hailey's gone without a trace while BF and Mom just happend to have brushed up on recent history crimes.  Planning much?

Not only that, remember when her sin was sent to live with his uncle? Toombs said he could not confirm whether Shawn Adkins, the only named suspect in Hailey's disappearance so far, also is moving to Travis County.

"There are rumors around town that he is moving to the Austin area, too, but we cannot confirm that at this point," Toombs said.

Toombs added that even though Adkins is listed as a suspect, there are no restrictions on his movements.

According to a media release from Mitchell County Attorney Ty Wood, the drug charge against Billie Jean Dunn was dismissed after Dunn produced a valid prescription for the drugs found in her possession. The hindering apprehension charge never was accepted by Wood, a spokeswoman in his office said.

Toombs also said that on Wednesday, Dell Ostrander, Billie Dunn's brother, was arrested on two drug charges, two failure to appear charges, and a charge of bail jumping, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Ostrander was still in the Mitchell County Jail as of Wednesday afternoon.

If I recall, I thought that it was Clint's house, however he got it, but it was in both their names? I could be wrong..but the point is, I thought that he was living with his baby momma's family and this could be their chance to move into his home...
