I am sure that they both got quite an adrenaline rush from this weeks findings.
I hope they cannot sleep or eat or function until they tell where she is and what happened !

Oh gosh, LEP, I so hope you are right.  What a big let down thinking that we were going to find an end to this poor childs unfortunate situation!  Now we find out it another lost soul no one has claimed.

I too agree with Lake Erie Princess optimism....until the DNA or dental is verified to be male or in fact Hailey. Its too coincidental to have a body that close to SA home....way too coincidental. Mistakes have been made in the past OR perhaps this is purposely put out or leaked to give SA a false sense safety before they nab him. They wouldn't want him committing some atrocious action in the meantime on himself or billie.

Also take in consideration that of the known 4 missing male persons the dates of them missing occured in 1982, 1986, 1987 and 2003. This current find of this body in this field near SA home indicated a burial/disposal of 6 months to 2 years thereby making it more likely it could very well be Hailey if the leaked story of "male" is untrue. A non fully developed female perhaps could possibly be confused with a male at first glance? just a thought

And the missing males ranged in age from 21 yrs thru 40 yrs of age and would not seem to jive with the peace officers comments of remains appeared to be noticeably smaller or something to that effect.

i agree. for some reason i am not letting myself believe it's definitely a male. maybe i'm in denial but i don't know

I am so amazed that when searching for a missing person, how all of these dead bodies of other people show up! How many dead and missing people are there out there??!!  I am gobsmacked each time that we hear about a hiker or people out walking who stumble upon a dead person..it is becoming almost not uncommon!  We live in a scary world

I do agree with u that this is TOO coincindental to find a body so close to SA Mom's home.
GREAT thinking !  ::MonkeyDance::I NEVER thought what u do for a minute,
but now strongly consider the idea ! Mistakes have been made by the coroners office if they
identify someone hastily. They may have leaked out that the body was a male to give Shawn
a false sense of security......before they nab him. Hailey and the child porn are a lot of
time in the pokey !

Could this be a ploy to keep Shawn close ? What do u all think ?

The investigators could totally be biding their time with this while they conduct further positive identity testing....thereby trying to give SA a false sense of safety that authorities are bungling. But SA would know for sure that his time is running out if in fact he knows that he disposed of Hailey at that location. SA I'm sure would not want to go to jail willingly especially IF he killed a young girl AND had child porn charges against him. He would be an unwelcome resident of any prison as a child killer/pedo and would be a marked man. My opinion of course.....(notice how quiet it got for the moment?? I mean even if not Hailey the news of the findings of a body appear to have mellowed)  I do hope theres alot of behind the scenes action going on that we are all not privy to...yet

I think that it would be wrong of the police to say that the body is that of a male if they really know that it is a female. There are other families awaiting the results to find out if the body is that of their missing loved one, who is a male.  Although their missing loved one did not get the national attention that Hailey got, their loved ones deserve to be recognized and give closure to their families who no doubt are eagerly awaiting the news of what happened to their son, husband, father ...
Therefore as much as I thought that this was for sure Hailey, I do believe that the body found is a male as announced by LE

I agree with you cookie.  I too believe the announcement by LE that the remains recovered are those of a male.  I hope an ID can be made soon.

Big Spring Police Sergeant Tony Everett said it could be weeks before the remains are positively identified. Meanwhile, a "Hope for Hailey" candlelight vigil will be held at the teen's Colorado City home at 7 p.m. on Saturday. She was reported missing on December 27th, 2010.

I'm really surprised that nothing more has been said about the recovered body.  There can't be that many small framed males missing in that area.
