5:30am: Shawn leaves for work, using Billie's car.

6:00am: Shawn arrives at work.

6:10am: Shawn leaves work. Shawn says that he quit his job, and went in that morning to turn in his coveralls and clean out his locker.  He claims that after leaving work went to his grandmother's house in Dunn, but because no one was home, he decided to go to his mother's house in Big Spring. Shawn further claims that he went directly to his mother's house from Dunn, only coming into Colorado City to access I-20.

Snyder - The family of Hailey Dunn are on their way to Snyder this afternoon.

Spokespeople for Hope for Hailey tell CBS 7 that the family will be in town by tonight.

They offered a statement saying, "We ask everyone to come together and pray for the family of whoever this body belongs. We are praying that it is not our Hailey. We appreciate the outpouring of kindness and prayers over the past two years."

Investigators from local and state law enforcement are still processing a crime scene where a body was found in Scurry County over the weekend.

DPS officials tell CBS 7 the body is decomposed to the point that they cannot determine an age or gender of the remains.

The body will be sent off to either Lubbock or Ft. Worth for an autopsy.

The Department of Public Safety said a body was found in Scurry County Saturday afternoon.  Authorities are calling it a crime scene. The body was found near County Road 3236 and Farm to Market 1298. Scurry County Sheriff's Deputies had the entrance blocked off for hours on Sunday.

The age or gender of the body has not been released. According to officials, as of Sunday night the body hadn't been sent for an autopsy and a decision on whether to send it to Lubbock or Dallas-Fort Worth had not been made.

During the second phase of the polygraph ADKINS was questioned in reference to where Hailey Dunn could be found and ADKINS made a positive indication that Hailey Durin could be found in Scurry County, Texas. When the third phase of the polygraph was started to refine the location of Hailey Dunn in Scurry County, Texas ADKINS refused to complete the polygraph examination and walked out of the Police Department.

Nevertheless ... maybe the truth regarding the early morning of December 27, 2010 is about to be revealed.

County Road 3236 is 2 miles before it becomes a different road name in a different county.  I did not find/see any houses in this area....
I found a public record search site but it does not pull up anything in the advanced search area.  Leaves me baffled as to the mystery person who called it in.  There are also no residential listings on Trulia for that area...and I mean none.  Just what I have seen/searched so far...

After leaving work shortly after 6:00 AM on the morning of December 27, 2010 ... it was revealed by cell phone pings that Shawn was in the Dunn area.  Could it be that Lake JB Thomas was Shawn's destination ... not his grandmother's home?

SCURRY COUNTY, Texas -

A special FBI forensics team is working today to locate skeletal remains found Saturday in Scurry County.

Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Sparky Dean said the body isn’t intact and that the FBI group, which has expertise in recovering remains in criminal cases, is diligently working to recover the bones of the deceased.

“This is being treated as a crime scene, so it is slow going,” Dean said.

The remains were found Saturday afternoon near Lake JB Thomas. The reservoir is off County Road 3236 and Farm to Market 1298.

Dean said the remains weren’t in a grave, but instead have been found in a mesquite, thorn, cactus-riddled area where authorities have only had access via foot.

“My understanding is the lake had nothing to do with the discovery of the body,” Dean said. “It was away from the lake.”
