ORLANDO, Fla. -- Another hearing has been scheduled in the case against Casey Anthony.

Judge Belvin Perry will hear a motion Thursday morning regarding a defense request to add new names to its witness list.

Defense attorneys hope to add six names in all. The list includes two mental health experts who the defense said will "rebut recent rulings" regarding Anthony's state of mind and "consciousness of guilt."

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The attorney representing George Anthony released a statement on Tuesday, saying his client had nothing to do with the death of his granddaughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.

George Anthony is the father of Casey Anthony, who is charged with murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

Orlando attorney Mark Lippman issued the statement amid a media report saying that Casey Anthony's defense could suggest that George Anthony was responsible for Caylee's death.

Lippman classified the report as speculation.

"While we continue to be sensitive to the important role of the news media in informing the public, and we do not wish to dissuade or prevent news media representatives from fulfilling their responsibilities, this line of speculation has necessitated an immediate response," Lippman said. "We assert that we will not engage in idle speculation regarding either the defense strategy or the state strategy but make no mistake that any factual fallacy stated contrary to my client’s well-being will be vigorously defended to every extent allowed by the law."

Casey Anthony, 25, has pleaded not guilty. Her murder trial is scheduled to begin in May.

So is Lippman saying that one shouldn't even speculate that the defense might be gassing up the bus to run over GA? No one said George killed Caylee. All discussion has been how the defense may try to spin GA's actions and words. I don't get the point of the news release by George's lawyer.

I had never followed this case until recently. I have been trying to watch alot of old videos and looking at some older posts. I don't have time to read it all. I am sorry. My question is.. Has this poor baby ever been given a proper burial or a memorial service?  I been trying to learn about all whats went on through this all.. From what I can see or read .. Another looney family.

GOd Bless the poor little Angel. I have a 2 yr old Grandaughter and just would kill someone if they ever hurt her and cannot think why anyone would hurt an innocent baby.

State Finishes Possible Witness Interview In Casey Case

ORLANDO, Fla. -- There was more legal action on Tuesday in the case against Casey Anthony. The state finished interviewing possible new witness Patricia Young Tuesday afternoon.
In September 2008, Young was in a fight with Casey's father, George Anthony, while protesting outside the Anthony house.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said the defense may try to call Young as a witness, possibly to blame George for Caylee's death (watch full interview).

I hope You are NEVER put in this man's shoes. I do not agree with the way George has acted but for crying out loud his OWN daughter murdered their grandchild.

To shift the blame on George is just WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!

GA and CA (despite how they behave) did not deserve to have their precious grandchild killed.

I'm going to refrain from calling GA and CA names.  I guess I'm the only one who still has an ounce of compassion for these people.

I hope I'm never put in this man's shoes as well, but I can tell you that if I ever am, I WOULD NOT ever try and protect the person that murdered my granddaughter, including if that person was my own daughter!

I too had some compassion for both CA and GA, IN THE BEGINNING, but they're done nothing to earn my compassion NOW, and I do hope they try and shift the blame to KC's parents. They've tried placing blame on everyone else! What about the lives of the people that GA and CA ruined?

Since I have no idea how to bring a quote from another thread I am piggy backing here.

IMO GA and CA and Lee to some degree deserve every minute of pain they get. They did NOTHING to protect Caylee in life and have done nothing but disrespect her in death. Even the "funeral" was nothing but a self serving show. I have been in shoes like the As - my step daughter dang near killed my granddaughter - never did I nor her dad stand behind her. rather we worked with investigators to keep the child away from the monsters. Never would I have helped in the cover up. Even though the fools at DHS returned the child and subsequent children to the monster, both her dad and I look for signs of abuse. Each and every time they occur we report them. And we tell monster to her face that we would do anything to keep the kids safe. I might be labeled a stalker, but I have friends who are police that drive by the house they live in and teachers at school that watch for abuse - and all because I fear for the kids. The fact that the A's not only chose to allow KC to have any contact with this child but allowed her to be murdered and then COVERED up and continue to cover up what THEY KNOW happened, shows me they had very little real love for an innocent child. In their shoes, I would have filed for custody of Caylee, I would have called DHS when I even THOUGHT something bad was happening. I would not have used the child as a pawn and a CERTAINLY WOULD NOT have covered up anything she did.

But like I said, it is JMO.

OMG!  How long can they keep this up?!!  All the motions to dismiss motions to dismiss motions that have been ruled on?!!  Byass is just trying to buy himself more time ... like he hasn't had enough?!!  I hope His Honor puts an end to this!

Byass, if your client were innocent you'd have a plausible defense by now!!!  You don't!  BECAUSE SHE'S GUILTY AS HECK!

And honestly, as this case is decimating his career ... I'm not sure why he continues with this crap?  Except his ego ... that ego .... gonna be the end of your career Byass.  I almost feel sorry for you ... but ... Nah!  Being a farm girl ...
