I  have seen a lot of stuff lately on the internet about how many people are having trouble committing to relationships. Until I read all these things, I didn't realize how truly amazing my hubby is.

When we got married, he quit his job, sold his house and everything else he owned, and left all his family and friends to move thousands of miles away. Now that's a commitment! And when I mention it to him, he always says it was the easiest thing he ever did.  Very Happy

BT,
I always loved this sonnet. I should have realized you are a fan of English Lit.

How Do I Love Thee? Let me Count the Ways..."
Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

BT,

Good Lord, you are so fortunate. I truly believe in fate. And you are living with a Knight in Shining Armor who found his Queen and worships at her feet.

Well, I'm not sure Knight in Shining Armor always describes him  Laughing - I do take your point, though. (He just doesn't seem very Knight-like when he's wandering around in his PJs with his hair rumpled and making belching noises.) Razz

Seriously, though, he is a true sweetheart.  Very Happy

I use to listen to a program on WGN - Chicago called the Torch Hour.

Franklyn MacCormack used to open every broadcast with: I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.

The program began as a fifteen minute broadcast in the late 40's and ended up being a midnight to dawn broadcast of love poems and music.  I still have many of his recordings.  He began his career with Wayne King.  His voice was always so soothing and it was a pleasure to listen to.
