ORLANDO, Fla. -- The state wants a mental health expert to examine Casey Anthony before her first-degree murder trial in the death of her daughter, and the judge is likely to grant that request.

Two defense experts who already examined Anthony could be called to explain why she did not call police, but instead partied and got a tattoo, during the month her daughter, Caylee Anthony, was missing before reporting it to authorities. The state will argue that while Anthony was concocting a story about a nanny taking Caylee, the toddler was already dead.

As a result, the state wants its own expert to have know what was going on in Anthony's head. The subject was discussed during a hearing on Friday.

Somehow, I was under the impression that she was evaluated @ the jail, but maybe that

That's what I want to know too!  I was thinking Trials and Tribulations (Sprocket Blog) had the questionnaires from jurors at one of the Spector trials - because I remember a couple of the jurors had answered they'd had experience with someone close to them committing suicide ... and I thought ... WHY would the prosecutor let them in!!!  But maybe that's just Cali ... or maybe it was after Spector One ...

I'd have to guess ...

1.  Byass wants men first and foremost.
2.  Believe it or not ... I think he might want to go with the older crowd ... looking for people who can "relate" to Cindy and George.
3.  Absolutely NO ONE with a science background.

Lee is really the only person (come on, anyone think Cindy wouldn't given George up in a second to save her wonderful daughter?) who could tell us if KC was abused in any way by George ... and Lee had already been accused of abusing her ... by her ... to friends before Caylee died.  Oh what a tangled web we weave ... Oh George.  Wonder if he'll turn the Caylee corner ... or take himself out before the trial starts?  (Which would only give the defense more credibility.)

OMG! Since my hair is still growing back after chemo, I have suspected my hair looks like ol' Mushroom Head!! And it does!!!!!

It's only about 4 inches long, but I'm gonna put it in cornrows...just so I don't look like the Evil Mistress of Doom!!

Did I understand correctly that Judge is bringing in jurors from another location, which he won't disclose where until the week before, giving Bozo 2 times to object and file motions, which I would assume Judge would have to rule on to be able to go on with jury selection on the 9th, then if they cannot find impartial jurors from what county that he picked, he will then go to Orlando.  If unable to find impartial jurors in Orlando too, then he will go to a 2nd location, which nobody will know but him until after they get done trying to find them in Orlando.

My head is spinning.

I haven't read the article yet, but based on what I heard today, it seems that JP is trying to stay a couple steps ahead of the defense. One might predict that the defense would like to eliminate jurors from the first location, wanting to get another location more favorable somehow (based on Baez research) to the defense. By the judge's threatening to introduce an Orange County jury if this first batch of potential jurors is unsuccessful, the defense may be less likely to pull their stalling tactics.

Oh Tevye!!  I've so missed you!     Listen, you know I hang with chemo patients every day ... and every one of them is BEAUTIFUL!  (and some come back curly when they were straight ... or blonde when they were brown ... or thick and wavy when they were thin!)  I'm just thankful for every one of you!  Survivors!     Love ya Tev!
