Every time I get off the phone and turn WFTV back on ... it's the Great Seal!  Dagnabit!   

I'm gonna have to take time off when the trial starts!

I have to say, I understand Ashton's questions regarding the travel.  I've got 3 kids and an elderly parent that I'd need to make plans for.  1 hrs notice wouldn't be very fair to someone with dependents.

My mom lives in Hillsborough County which is about 1 1/2 hours away, so prob not going there. Brevard County is 60 miles, so 1 hour.

JP did say the drive wouldn't even be an hour. No need really to make any special arrangements. A lot of people make that kind of commute daily..and isn't this only for the selection phase to seat a jury?

So do I. That's part of the reason I don't think it's far away. Surely they will set up some kind of emergency number where anyone can be reached!

I was sort of hoping for that area as they were so impacted by the murder of Jessica.  KC wouldn't get much sympathy from a Hillsborough jury.

But they're talking at least 5 days and nights.  Not so easy if you're the caregiver others.

Me too Newfie.I can forsee using up all my vacation/paid time off by end of May. After May who knows what'll happen with the trial, due to Florida Courts funding which only goes through May.

I think jury selection will be in either Sanford, Seminole County or Kissimmee, Osceola County.   These two are close enough for the attys. to get there in under an hour, get into the courtroom and be ready.   jmoo

For those of us not familiar with Florida where is Brevard County at?  What city?

B is the Brevard County Jail.  The circle is to show what would be within one hour with Orlando in the middle. I am not from FL and hope this is correct.

That would likely be Volusia county or Brevard county if east of Orlando & Tampa on the west of Orlando.
