Why was it originally believed that Holly was dragged into the woods?  Why did the story change?

In the process of elimination ... why was the brother dismissed as a person of interest from the getgo?

When I consider the blood and ... the brother's account that now implies there was no altercation ... it does not add up.

Police Find Lunch Box, Blood as Search for Whitney Duncan’s Cousin Holly Bobo Continues

It was originally believed that Bobo was forcibly dragged into the woods near her home by a man in camouflage. It has since been brought to light by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation that she was led by her arm or hand, and complied because she may have been scared for her life.

Bobo, a 20-year-old nursing student at University of Tennessee Martin, was getting ready to leave for school when she was taken during a home invasion around 7:30AM. Her older brother, who witnessed the encounter, mistook the abductor for Bobo’s boyfriend — but when he went outside and spotted blood on the ground, he called police. It has not been confirmed that the blood is Bobo’s, but law enforcement did recover her white lunch box nearby. Neither the brother nor the boyfriend are immediate suspects in the case.

In a news conference with Bobo’s parents on Thursday, her father said that he believes the intruder may have been someone close to the family.

The brother has been cleared as well as her boyfriend Drew.  It has been explained that Clint, her brother saw her with a man in camo & he thought it was her boyfriend but when he found blood on the carport he knew something was wrong.   This occurred approx 7:30 in the morning.    At this time there is nothing that would indicate speculating any further in regards to her brother or her boyfriend is fruitful.

Personally, I have a thought that this may be an ex or admirer that was either jealous or a perceived notion that she should have been with him.   To me, it appears she at least knew this person by sight and/or previous encounter....Gut feeling.

Capp~I have heard from a few in Jackson that the rumor is that she had and ex BF that she had to obtain a restraining order on, any idea about that?

Searches resumed Sunday for evidence in the disappearance of Holly Bobo.
Authorities tell Channel 4 that volunteers were called back to the local fairgrounds after investigators discovered "new areas of interest." One of those new areas is Natchez Trace State Park. At least 350 people were combing that area alone.

On Saturday, TBI officials said they have received tips about the 20-year-old nursing student's disappearance from all around the U.S. Authorities said Friday that searchers have found some items belonging to Bobo.

The nursing student was last seen by her brother early Wednesday morning who only saw the man from behind and believed it was Bobo's boyfriend. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agent John Mehr said authorities do not believe she went willingly.
