I'm amazed that they could even recognize the blur that is you as you fly through there, Klaas!

You must be a really great customer and it's nice they want to be so accommodating to you!

LOL, I'm just there a lot.  I whiz thru the self check about every other day.  I pick up our prescriptions there.  It's less than a mile from my home and it's on my way to and from work.  Very convenient  It was very nice to get that hand written letter though.  I got one a couple years ago too.    an angelic monkey

Just because you guys know EVERYTHING.............

Anybody got any idea where I can hear the audio of the Supreme Court's hearings on healthcare?

I've heard snippets on the news but I'd just like to hear the whole arguments as they occurred without interruption or opinion from commentators. Thanks guys!

Website helps 7-foot, 8-inch man raise money to buy custom-made shoes

Quote
Igor Vovkovinsky, who is 7 feet, 8 inches tall, says on his website he reached out to Reebok, which told him it would cost about $15,000 to make special shoes.

Wow!  And I get anxious when buying sneakers for my three kids.

Quote
However, a spokesperson for Reebok said the company is looking forward to helping Vovkovinsky - and Reebok will cover the cost.

Nice!  I love a happy ending.

http://thestir.cafemom.com/in_the_news/135214/pedophile_taken_down_by_amazing

Pedophile Taken Down by Amazing 10-Year-Old & Her Video Game Console!

Video game haters, listen up. It all ends today. Because a little girl in England has reminded the world that the police need all the help they can get to put the sickos who prey on little kids behind bars, and that includes smart as a whip 10-year-olds armed with nothing more than a Nintendo DSi.

Police are calling one 10-year-old smarty pants in particular a hero after she grabbed her game console and snapped photos of (now convicted) pedophile John Fisher as he tried to molest her. And just wait until you hear what happened next ... you'll be hitting up your local electronics store and buying out the video game console section and handing them out to every kid in the neighborhood!

Fisher denied he attacked the girl (of course), even though he'd done it twice -- once when she was 9 and again at 10. But when the cops showed him the photos from the game console, he had to fess up not only to hurting this poor kid but to his attraction to tween girls. Score! The grandfather (shudder) is now in jail, listed on a sex offender registry, and has been forbidden from spending time around kids ... all because this one girl had her wits about her and protected herself.

It's a big win for the good guys. But it's sad that this is the way it has to go down, isn't it? That in order for a pedophile to be pulled off the streets, we had to depend on a 10-year-old? That a girl had to be hurt by a family friend ... and figure out how to protect herself?

Muffy, I want to post this song under Music but it may be questionable. What do you think?  It sounds sharp.  Thank-you.

New, interesting questions were asked:

■Where people lived 5 years before
■Highest educational grade achieved
■Detailed income and occupation

I am excited, too!  I hope the 1940 census will be fully loaded.

Cool, I am anxious to find out any information that I can on where my father was during that time.  He died when I was young, so his history is almost non-existent to me.

They have taken out all the self-check outs in our area.  Evidently too many things were not being paid for.

It's not questionable here or in Music    There are opinions on both side of this story and all are welcome.  IMO this case is not cut and dry.

The 1940 Census Clock  What suspense Smile

Just a note:

Crooks glean information from the census and other genealogy, as to your mothers maiden, for clues for passwords.

The 1940 includes address information, addresses as passwords
