1940 Census

I am beginning to wonder if the 1940 census is an Idiot test.  I am passing with flying colors.

I don't know about you guys, but I need a story with a happy ending.  There's just too much sadness in the news these days.

Me too KittyMom.  I read everyday on the threads. I just don't know what to say anymore.

This is for KittyMom  You wanted a Happy Ending story. Here is one that brought tears to my eyes.

DETROIT (AP) Baking cookies never seemed as sweet for 101-year-old Texana Hollis as it did on Wednesday, when she tearfully was allowed back into the home her husband bought after World War II following her eviction seven months ago.

Foreclosure initially forced Hollis from the home where she'd spent six decades of her life, then federal officials wouldn't let her move back in because of its dilapidated condition. That's when Detroit Free Press columnist Mitch Albom and his charity stepped in, and convinced volunteers and businesses to do the same.

Cookie, you asked in Sierra's thread about any tips for folding pants for travel.  I don't fold my clothes so much as I roll them, particularly pants, so they don't wrinkle.  I found this article that explains:

http://www.howtodothings.com/travel/a2318-how-to-pack-a-suitcase.html
How To Pack a Suitcase

(See "Rolling Method")

Another thing that I've done in the past, particularly for my kids was to put each complete outfit  for the day in a big zipper bag.
(See "The Daily Plan Method" & this works with Rolled Clothes too!)

Here's a youtube about rolling clothes for a week end trip -rolling clothes.

That is a gret idea to put complete outfits together in. Zip lock bag.
I have 'rolled' complete outfits together but did not think to put them in a bag..

That method really works, Muffy!! I've packed that way for years and can vouch for it!

Thanks for sharing the story, GE..... we need to hear more things that are inspiring and the good works of people too often get overlooked!

Isn't it cute?  I just saw that and thought I'd better post it so people can try it out.  Would be equally cute with Peeps Bunnys, lol.
