Good Afternoon Monkey's,

KittyMom,

Interesting, Sly's body looks like wallpaper, full of Tat's, yet, Arnold does has not even have one Tat.

You know that was a funny place to be.  The two of them full of pain meds parked side by side.  They probably had those nurses and docs in stitches.  (pun intended!)  lol

I just came from Susan Powell's thread and am just so sick to my stomach that someone could do what he did to his own children let alone what he did to his wife.

I lost my sister last week and have been in a daze since then and suffering the pain of losing one that I was close to.  I just cannot fathom how Susan's family is coping during all this.

I am sick to my stomach this morning after reading what he did to his sons.  It is horrible.

My deepest condolences on the death of your sister.  I am so very sorry, Blue Moon.

I cannot imagine ever thinking about doing something like that, let alone going through with it.  Those poor boys.

Thanks all for the thoughts.  It has been rough.  I miss her calling me and when I answer she would always say "Hey sis, whatcha doing?". I was closer to her than the rest.  It has been hard I guess because we lived so far apart and I still can't believe she is gone.  I am one of eleven and our chain has been broken with her passing.  I received this poem at her funeral and I framed it and it has bought me some peace:

The Broken Chain
Author: Ron Tranmer

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Blue Moon,

Good memories and love, I hope you remember, as well.

If you would like to share any fun memories, I alway's like a good story.

I have my neighbors kitchen table (I think of her often) she made Jalapena brownies, she was a so unusual, but wonderful.

Have had a quick look for the thread for this young lady but no luck so will post the article here.

US teen kidnap victim Elizabeth Smart marries

by: From correspondents in Salt Lake City
    From: AP
    February 20, 2012 6:56AM

ELIZABETH Smart, the young woman from Utah who was kidnapped at knifepoint at 14 and held captive for nine months by an itinerant street preacher, has married her Scottish fiance at a Mormon temple in Hawaii.

A family spokesman said she married Matthew Gilmour, of Aberdeen, Scotland, on Oahu's North Shore yesterday.

The 24-year-old Smart is in her last year at Brigham Young University.

She met Gilmour while doing Mormon missionary work in Paris.

The couple wed at the Laie Hawaii Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in front of a small group of family members, spokesman Chris Thomas said in a statement. The group then celebrated at a private reception and Hawaiian feast or luau.

The last give away from gas stations that I can remember were  orange glassware, with a kind of little crinkly design on them.  I don't remember every getting glass ware at a movie theater though.  I do remember my Mom collecting glassware that came in boxes of oatmeal.

What is Depression Glass?
 ::snipping2::
Glass in a multitude of colors, ranging from the deep colors of purple, black, cobalt, and red to the pastels of pink, yellow, green, amber, and blue was created to bring a bright note into the otherwise drab times of the depression. The glass was mass produced and appeared relatively crude next to the fine, handmade crystal glass that was expensive to own. The colored glassware was very inexpensive, many times being given away as a premium at movie theaters, gas stations, or stores, or simply for selling a specified number of magazine subscriptions thus it made its way into almost every American home.
