"I can look back over the past 10 years and there were no steps wasted, and there are no regrets,'' she said. "I did all I knew to do and I think that gives me greater peace now." "I've lived every parent's worst nightmare and I'm the parent that nobody wants to be," she said.

HE'S ALIVE!

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/tJIDS-ge8V8?version=3&amp;amp;hl=en_US" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/tJIDS-ge8V8?version=3&amp;amp;hl=en_US</a>

Each time I hear this song, I'm reminded that on that glorious morning, no one questioned that the tomb was empty. Clearly, that could be seen by all. Where your faith was, determined the controversy........ how did the tomb become empty? The Sanhedrin had asked for a Roman soldier to guard the tomb for fear the disciples would steal away the body and be able to create a mythical martyr, and perhaps that was their belief at the discovery.

How ironic that two women discovered the empty tomb first. Women were not regarded to be reliable witnesses to anything. They were not allowed to give testimony in any formal settings by either the Romans or the Jews. If there had been an effort to create a lie, the writers would never have concocted the discovery to be by women. 10 of the 11 disciples were martyred for their refusal to deny that Jesus rose from the dead and walked again among them. All of them went from hiding in fear for being associated with Jesus, to proclaiming throughout the region the "Good News" that Jesus was alive and through Him and His love for us we were forgiven so that we too had victory over death. What happened to cause that amazing change and commitment literally to the point of facing death for it?

He's Alive! Happy and Blessed Easter!!

Best of Show quilt a fun project, winner says

HUNTSVILLE — Jere Kessler’s prize-winning quilt celebrates the joys of literacy in an era before electronic entertainment

Jere Kessler’s quilt, ‘BBK — Bookcase Before Kindle,’ won Best of Show at the Walker County Fair last week. This is the second tim Kessler has won Best of Show at the fair for one of her quilts.

Kessler, of Huntsville, won Best of Show at the Walker County Fair last week.

Putting together the  45- by 75-inch quilt was a fun project, she said.
 ::snipping2::
Creating the book titles for her piece, which pictures a large and homey bookcase, was a big part of the fun. She used the labels from her family’s clothing and other fabric items.

“None of our clothes have labels in them anymore. I cut them out to use for titles, authors, et cetera for the books.  I cut tags off sleeping bags, rugs, hot pads, blankets and coats,” Kessler said. “It was fun to try to coordinate the labels.”

For example, the black book’s title is “Crazy Horse” and the “publisher” is Wild West.  “Then I machine free-hand quilted an old cowboy boot on that book.”

Good morning Monkey's,

I posted historical directories, a few years ago Smile  I am reposting because the directory
may be helpful for lookups in the 1940 census.

http://www.evendon.net/PGHLookups/DirM.htm

http://www.archives.gov/research/census/1940/

http://stevemorse.org/census/quiz.php

I use old addresses for passwords, (none that are on the census), Mother's maiden names
are also available on the census, maiden names are used as passwords, to bank accounts.
I think everyone knows that, just in case.

Betty White Joins Twitter

Jason LaVeris/Getty Images

Betty White has joined the Twittersphere!

Using the handle @BettyMWhite, the “Hot in Cleveland” actress already has more than 140,000 followers on the social network.
 ::snipping2::
White sent a tweet to Ryan Seacrest, whose show “American Idol” is set to compete with White’s new show, NBC’s “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers,” a new hidden-camera show where senior citizens prank younger people.

“Hey @RyanSeacrest — my new show airs tomorrow and I hear we’re in the same time slot,” White tweeted. “I’ve always dreamed of sharing a night with you…”
