He (Solicitor General Taco Stein) does confirm one person from the FBI, who is normally stationed in Barbados, is on the island. According to the OM, he coordinates the legal aid requests from Aruba to the United States. Stein does not expect more FIB-officers will come to the island. He states there are sufficient ‘extremely capable people’ in the Kingdom who can assist with the investigation. For example, he names a team with tracking dogs from the KLPD (Corps National Police Services) in The Netherlands that is ‘worldwide renown’ and on request could be deployed in tracing the body.

Page 184: Then FBI agent Bill comes by and delivers the final blow. "The FBI has never received one single document from the Arubans. Not one tape. Nothing." he says sadly. Depite our personal pleas to authorities here and our broadcast appeals to Aruba to let the FBI lend a hand, and regardless of Aruba's public response that it would welcome FBI assistance, the island never let FBI agents in on the investigation. Kyle Kingman:  The Arubans told us there wasn't anything of interest in the trap based on the visual-only inspection (Dateline and Tim Miller present).
 
Kyle Kingman:  John definitely believed the Arubans at their every word

Kyle Kingman:  Aruban divers deemed the cage to be not case related, and therefore Aruba had no interest in it.  At that point, I made the statement to all on board that we do have an interest and that we would recover the cage ourselves.  That is when Mos said they would dive on it but it would take 1 -2 weeks for a forensics team to arrive and that he would let Persistence know.

Kyle Kingman:  The FBI said they needed an invitation. I brought it up to Mos and Richardson and they were talking as if it were a possibility along with a Dutch forensic team. Mos said it would take about 10-14 days to have a Dutch forensic team on site. Never heard another word about it.

All I ask them when I speak these kids is put as much time in how you will end your outing. As you do when deciding in where you`re going and who you`re going with. Just have a plan of exit.

Page 219/220: In each city I have the privilege to speak to several high schools, churches, or law enforcement and civic groups.  This translates to thousands of youths and adults.  Delivering this safety message is my triumph over devastation.  It gives me great joy and is tremendously rewarding work.  I think that I can bear the pain of losing Natalee if it means that I can prevent another family from going through our tragic experience.  If even just one young person in tens of thousands is saved, then it's well worth it.  I ask young people to make a conscious decision to stay safe.  They have to make the choice.  And I'm not asking them to do anything more than I ask myself.  I have to make difficult choices every day.  I have to make a conscious decision every morning when wake up not to be bitter, not to live in resentment and let anger control me.  It is not easy.  I ask God to help me.  And I know it's not easy for young people to think about choosing  not to get into a situation in which they can't defend themselves.  But we all have to make hard choices.  Every day.

Could it be the Gary Giordano had been drugging Robyn Gardner since their arrival on the Island three days earlier ... drugging in a quest for "beyond pornographic" images ... images that Robyn would never consent to?

Could the life insurance policy imply that Gary Giordano planned to murder Robyn Gardner to avoid any backlast from the drugging and the unconsented "beyond pornographic" images?

Could it be that Gary Giordano did not anticipate Aruban authorities challenging his snorkling/drowning story?

Could it be that Gary Giodano and/or Aruban authorities did not anticipate the media to become an issue?  Think about it.  If Robert Forester had not contacted the NHRC would Giodano had caught that plane home to the States and ... the disappearance of Robyn Gardner would have been categorized as an accidental drowning.  Case Closed!

And the biggest asset of the Natalee Holloway Resource Center is that we provide is we send out the media release. And as we al know, media is essential in helping to solicit tips and eyewitnesses. So we got that ball rolling through Richard`s efforts.

PINSKY: And Beth, I must say, it has to bring up all of those old feelings, even just seeing what Richard is going through. Have you been in contact with her family?

HOLLOWAY: I have not been in contact with Robyn`s family. And Richard has been communicating with the staff at the Natalee Holloway Resource Center. So we have just been -- I have just been working with the staff there to coordinate.

HOLLOWAY: Her family has -- they have not -- no one at the Natalee Holloway Resource Center has spoken to Robyn`s family. I believe the only two people they have spoken to are the cousin and Richard himself.

Surveillance video from local businesses place Giordano and Gardner at the Rum Reef Bar & Grill in the Baby Beach area of the island before Gardner went missing, a law enforcement source told ABC News. Restaurant staff said that Gardner seemed woozy while the two ate; Giordano later told police they'd been drinking vodka at the Marriott before dining, and that she'd taken sleeping pills earlier in the day, the source said.

Page 189:   It's the proverbial, Biblical conflict between good and evil.  It's very, very hard to fight evil because it constantly changes form and you never know who your enemies are.  And evil is always two steps ahead. From the outset we never had a chance.  But we didn't know it.  I'm taking leave of the island, but not from the work yet to be done.

Page 208:  The goal of education is twofold: to bring a message about personal safety to high-school and college students and to educate travellers.

Page 209:  Bad things happen everywhere.  But the difference we need to consider when something bad happens outside the country is the help available for the victims and their families.  When we leave these borders, we leave behind all the privileges and rights we're all accustomed to and often take for granted.  We have expectations that there will be a safety net of law-abiding official, no matter where we travel, or that our US embassy will come to our rescue.  But that's terribly naive.

A man who was fishing on the beach says Gardner and her companion Gary Giordano left the beach without going in the water.  The witness says the two drove off and didn't return to the beach.

Giordano claims he and Gardner were snorkeling and she disappeared in the water.   Giordano is being held as a suspect in her disappearance. 

Among the reasons he is being held is an insurance policy he purchased on Gardner, that he tried to collect on after her disappearance.   Giordano, who purchased the accidental policy shortly before travelling to the Dutch Caribbean island with the 35-year-old, tried to begin redeeming the American Express policy, which he took out just days before their trip and unusually only covered the trip to Aruba.
According to a police source, Giordano purchased a more expensive one-year policy instead of a more commonly purchased five year policy.

This case is beginning to look like a planned way to collect the insurance proceeds. The suspect hires a woman that is more than likley a high class prostitute who will travel with a client.

He takes her to Aruba where he figures he can get away with a murder without prosecution. He buys an insuranc policy for travel on her life, enjoys a few days of her services and then either sells her or kills her and hides the body. ...

Police Reveal 'Bloody Handprint' Evidence In Aruba Mystery Disappearance Doesn't Exist

A purported key piece evidence in the mysterious disappearance of missing American woman Robyn Gardner doesn't exist, police have revealed.

Blood was reportedly found on a rock near the restaurant not far from where Gardner and her traveling companion Gary Giordano were last seen together.

But Aruba Solicitor General Taco Stein said in an interview Saturday night: "The detail about the hand print and blood is not true."

"That is not something that we have found," the Solicitor General said, adding: "Let me put that to rest as that only hinders the investigation."

Speaking to Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News' Justice with Judge Jeanine, Stein also shed new light on the graphic photographs that authorities found on Giordano's camera, showing the missing Maryland woman in various sexual positions.

"I'm told there is no sign of duress at all (in the images)," General Stein told Judge Pirro.

One law enforcement source had described the images as "beyond pornographic," though General Stein stopped short of that description.

He said, "Those photos were explicit. That's all I have said and that is all I am going to say. I have not seen the pictures myself."
