A man who was fishing on the beach says Gardner and her companion Gary Giordano left the beach without going in the water.  The witness says the two drove off and didn't return to the beach.

Giordano claims he and Gardner were snorkeling and she disappeared in the water.   Giordano is being held as a suspect in her disappearance. 

Among the reasons he is being held is an insurance policy he purchased on Gardner, that he tried to collect on after her disappearance.   Giordano, who purchased the accidental policy shortly before travelling to the Dutch Caribbean island with the 35-year-old, tried to begin redeeming the American Express policy, which he took out just days before their trip and unusually only covered the trip to Aruba.
According to a police source, Giordano purchased a more expensive one-year policy instead of a more commonly purchased five year policy.

Considering the "beyond pornographic" images did not indicate illegal wrongdoing  and ... the bloody handprint has been revealed a rumor ... the observation of this witness and ... the existence of the life insurance policy gives me guarded optimism that justice may prevail for Robyn Gardner.

Page 120:  Natalee never returned to the Holiday Inn. We had seen the tapes with a room full of police officials.  These two security guards also do not appear on the Holiday Inn security videos that we were shown.  So why these arrests?  Islanders are outraged.  And so are we.  It’s blatant discrimination.

Page 182:  Helen is very positive.  "It looks good that they will remain in custody" she says.  Then just three hours after she tells me this encouraging news, a devastating call comes from an AP reporter.  Paulus van der Sloot and his attorney are bragging to everyone that all three suspects are getting out day after tomorrow!.  Then all the media start calling.  I call Helen, then FBI agent Bill and the U.S. vice-consul.  None of them have this information. So we tell the media it must be a rumor.  But the word is out all over the island from the defense side that all three suspects will walk.  Four and a half hours after this announcement is made to international media by Joran's father and his defense team, the FBI calls to tell me that it is indeed true.  So the three suspects who were last seen with my daughter, and who offered multiple versions of what happened that night, will go free.   And we are the last ones to find out.

I agree with Blink.

Could it be that Gary Giordano did not anticipate Aruban investigators challenging his snorkling/drowning account of a tourist?

Could it be that Gary Giodano and/or Aruban investigators did not anticipate the media becoming an issue?

Think about it. If Richard Forester had not contacted the NHRC would Giodano had caught that plane home to the States and … the disappearance of Robyn Gardner would have been categorized in Aruban case files as an accidental drowning. In other words ... Case Closed!

And the biggest asset of the Natalee Holloway Resource Center is that we provide is we send out the media release. And as we al know, media is essential in helping to solicit tips and eyewitnesses. So we got that ball rolling through Richard`s efforts.

At this point in time both Beth Holloway and Blink are on the same page.

I also believe that justice just might prevail for Robyn Gardner.  There is no reason to establish a cover up in this case.  Gary Giordona ... the main suspect ... is not the son of the an Aruban/Dutch elite.

Beth, when you look at the steps that had been taken. They`ve stopped him. I mean he went passed the Aruban -- sort of arm of law and they were able to bring him back in. Do you get a sense that perhaps they`re doing a better job?

HOLLOWAY: I do. I`m still guarded though and I do hope they prove me wrong and show me what Dutch law can really do with a perpetrator on their island. I am very encouraged so far. So I just want to -- just see how this proceeds.

I have missed ya!  I hope you are having a good summer.  The West of our great country is finally being afforded some sunshine.

Thanks to you and your guests.  I don't alway agree but insights are definitely food for thought.  Could the disappearance of Robyn Gardner have been an insurance scam?  Considering Gary Giordona's history in relation to women ... I don't think so but ... until the truth is revealed ... speculation is where it is at.

Shocking new details have emerged in the case of Robyn Gardner about the final hours before the 35-year-old dental assistant from Maryland disappeared on August 2.

Police reportedly believe her travelling partner Gary Giordano, who she met on Match.com, brutally killed her after spotting a text she had written to her boyfriend back home, saying: 'I love you'.

Peruvian police have obtained what Aruba couldn't: a murder confession from Joran Van der Sloot in the killing of a young woman. The Dutchman has admitted killing Stephany Flores, 21, in his Lima hotel room, a Peruvian government official tells MSNBC.

Van der Sloot says he broke her neck in a fit of rage when she used his laptop computer without permission and discovered he was involved in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, according to reports in the Peruvian media.

"I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life," Van der Sloot is quoted as saying.
