Good morning.  I was out last nite so I really appreciate the play by play from those who listened.  Great job.  I'm going to play the podcast later tonite when DH can listen as well.

Today (and every day) would be a good day to pray extra hard for Nonesuche and her DH (and everyone else with needs great and small).  I know he had a bad day yesterday.

CBB et al, great thinking on that police car conversation.  I don't believe there was a "flat tire" either.  That was a poor excuse when we were young!  (Not that we didn't try to make it work).

This is an object that is in the van der Sloots back yard.  It probably has nothing whatsoever to do with Natalee's disappearance but I have always just wondered what exactly it might be.

Does anyone know?

.

Quite a leap here, Anna ~ but it reminda me of a little shrine...  We'd have to see what's around it...  to maybe be able to chance a guess.

Give us some perspective, please. Is it next to a bush or a tree? Can you approximate the size? It looks like a seashell upon first glance to me -- but if it is actually 4' high -- that is unlikely.

G'night, everyone who is going to bed.  I am listening to the Podcast.  It's great.   Is anyone else listening and lurking?

P.S.  Dana has good music.

wish i could get them to work but i got this stupid dial up. i did hear the last 15 minutes LIVE though Laughing
I am sooooo grateful to everyone that did play by play...ya'll are lifesavers SMOOCHES!!!

Spooky ~ even DSL isn't really enough to listen online ~ I go to the podcast page and right click on the little round grey podcast button.

I download Dana's show to my hard drive ~ and listen to it in iTunes...  That's where the DSL helps a lot ~ the download is a lot faster than when I had dial-up...

Spooky ~ I'm using Sprint DSL (now Embarq) and they work hand in hand with Earthlink.  When I first came to the board I was using Earthlink dial-up too.  I'm really glad that I switched ~ and I didn't even have to change my email address...  Earthlink DSL isn't available in my area, but Sprint DSL is...  Maybe check into it...  And DSL price is right there with the pricier dial-up services...

Set-up was easy ~ I didn't even have to load software into my computer ~ I called Sprint when I got the package in the mail ~ and they walked me right through the set-up and stayed on the phone with me till I could see that it worked...

I copied the photo to enlarge, and I thought the same as Katz, that the stone structure looked like a shrine of sorts, and the item to the side, looked like a Tonka like truck, but I could not sharpen it enough to be sure.

Didn't we read somewhere early on that Anita is a Buddhist?  Would that account for this little statue?

Can you point me to the page where there play by play started, Peaches?  I'd like to read what the Monkeys had to say about what they heard ~ and I don't really have time to sit and read back through everything this morning...  or any time, really...  today is day #3 of my busy working vacation...   Laughing

After a nice bubble bath ~ it's starting with 8:00 Mass for Natalee and her family, and all who are helping them ~ and for this board too ~ and, you know ~ I'll remember you in prayer too...

Katz, glad I caught you before you went to Mass.  I think the play by play is in its own thread now.....

Hope you get to have coffee with Jamie Skeeters.  I like him.  He seems very down to earth.  I know he can't talk about things right now but I'll be waiting for the day he can!  Please express my thanks and admiration for all he's done to help.

Went straight to the other thread thinking I'd be locked out!

Mornig Mon Monkeys!

Since it is the end of the thread I will say:  I adopted two kittens last night.

LOVE THEM!  SO CUTE!

That statue/seashell or shrine in the VDS yard is just a garden sculpture  - some are made from porcelin/ceramic and others from resin.  you can buy real shells but not that big.

Yeah ~ the brownish shape in the almost middle of the tan round rocks looks like a statue.

And, who knows what Anita was before she turned to "new-age spirituality" ...

There's a lot of Catholics on Aruba ~ and it really hurt for me to call for a Boycott of Aruba way back ~ before it was even mentioned on Dr. Phil ~ because I'm Catholic...  But, I felt from the very beginning that there was a cover-up going on rather than an investigation...  And I thought that would help...

Now ~ how many months later ~ do we see that even that wasn't enough...

Thank God Beth has some really serious players on her side...  We're not in their league ~ but there is one thing I can do to help them ~ I'm supporting their efforts with prayer...  I want to help, therefore I'm trying to give them the best that I've got.

Oh great!  a separate thread!  That's what I've been asking for!  For separate threads for important topics!!!!  It's so hard wading through pages and pages of daily thread stuff ~ even if the whole thread is kept on the topic of Natalee ~ to find what people posted on different specific topics...
