I bet they are LIVID..........Cindy will be crashing vases and George will be panicked. They are having horrible ideas now of all the things that KC will say about them and they won't hear a word of it.

loca, it will be interesting to see if and how Casey interacts with her atty's during the jury selection process.  Will she be Miss proficient para legal, taking notes, eyeballing the jurors, giving some of them the eagle eye?

I've thought about this myself, Can.  In my mind, ICA will be very very interested in who will be judging her.  If I had to guess, I would say she will most likely want younger (less attractive in her eyes) women, and 20-30 year old men whom she thinks find her totally hot.  Then she'll throw in a liberal thinking older woman or two, and maybe a couple of older men if she thinks they will sympathize with her (or find her sexually interesting).  She's always about manipulating people. 

Yes, she's always been good at manipulating.  High stakes now and she's in over her head.

As for the two older men you suggest...maybe she'll scan the jurors for a Mason look-a-like.

Really dumb question about the sequestration of George and Cindy.....

Can the judge order them not to TIVO or watch the proceedings on TV??? I mean if we can watch it, Cindy and George will be watching and reading Scared Monkeys til all hours of the night and they will know what was going on while they were sequestered.

Does this make any sense? It has been bothering me for a long time. TIA JSM

 

I have seen cases where material witnesses were sequestered. I don't know if the judge will go that far, but it is possible.

There was one in an adjoining state where they kept some of the material witnesses in the hotel where they had the jury but on a different floor. Of course that involves court guards so to do it would require additional expense. In that that case, the judge felt it was necessary to prevent any coercion or intermingling of the witnesses. I think it would be a good idea in this case knowing the Anthonys.

Thanks again Turbo, I have always thought it would be a good idea to keep them away from all proceedings, news, etc.

JSM...do not make me smack you!!   I guess he can order anything he wants but enforcing it would be a whole different story. But IMO he wouldn't even try to 'order' anything like that. In this case I think the sequestering is more to keep thhem for any outbursts that might lead to a mistrial.

I never thought about their outbursts causing a mistrial. I thought more like them trying to get their stories lies straight every time they aren't in court.

LOL....you  know you can't get that past me remember the only dumb question is the one that was not asked. I read several cases where outbursts resulted in mistrials. One was in FL.....I wouldn't put anything past the A's to pull something in the court room.

I think bozo knows he has one chance at this and to risk the Anthonys being in that courtroom would risk his case. That is one smart thing I have seen him do.

There have been trials where material witnesses were kept in a hotel like the jurors to keep them from having any information on the proceedings. That is usually in federal cases, but I have seen it recently in a state murder case.

I have heard of witnesses being sequestered in a federal case...but am not aware of any state cases...but I sure take your word on it. But I don't believe JP could order them not to watch TV or the proceedings on the internet.

Material witnesses have been sequestered until they are released by the judge after their testimony.   The State is calling them in their Case-in-chief and the defense is calling them as well.   O man to be a fly on the wall!

I don't believe they will not be sequestered...they are not next of kin...regardless of what Hornsby wants to call them...even though it gags me to say it....KC was Caylee's next of kin...and she will be in the court room for the whole process

I think Blink and I were banned about the same time. They did not want to hear anything bad about the Anthonys and the "trust funds" which they gave me a warning on when I wrote about the bank going to make them move their account (which also happened by the way) and then when I wrote about how I saw the defense playing it that was the final straw.
