We will be having ONE thread per day during the TRIAL.  Even if the thread goes over 100 pages    I think it will be easier to keep track of things that way.  I've already created a thread for day 1 which we will move to Monday morning.

http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=9831.0

I've also created a thread for TRIAL VIDEOS for anyone to post videos of the trial there.

Great idea. Thanks as I tend to lose the videos sometimes in the other posts.

Thanks...I do not know if I'll be able to watch it. Does anyone remember how long this Trial is 'expected' to take? I can't remember. I hope at least I'll be able to see video content online of some of it. Perhaps the CNN Headline news will do excellent recaps at night.

Palm Beach, Duval Counties Could Be Ready For Anthony Jury Selection
Location of the Highly Publicized Murder Trial Still A Secret Even To County Clerks

http://www.wpbf.com/news/27792715/detail.html
::snipping2::

Four counties have been mentioned as top contenders for picking a jury, including Palm Beach, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Duval counties.

::snipping2::

I remember LDB saying Pinellas County would be a great place to go for trial.  It's hard to say where CJBP has picked as none of these counties are less than an hour away.  Could JP have told a fib in his own courtroom?!

I lived in Spring Hill, what county is that in?  That would be 2 hours though.  I used to drive over to the other coast quite a bit.  Had family living in Cocoa.
Spring Hill is in Hernando County.  St. Petersburg/Clearwater are in Pinellas Co., with the courthouse just across the bay from Tampa (Hillsborough Co.).

Media, Judge's Arguments Expected Today In Casey Case
Posted: 6:19 am EDT May 6, 2011Updated: 6:43 am EDT May 6, 2011

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Jury selection is set to start in just three days in the case against Casey Anthony, but a state appeals panel could hand down a ruling on Friday that would delay her trial for as much as six months.

Several media outlets, not including WFTV, are appealing the plan to keep the location of that jury selection secret until an hour before it begins.

The 5th District Court of Appeal has given a deadline of 10:00am Friday for Chief Judge Belvin Perry and the media outlets to submit their arguments.

If the media outlets win their arguments, Perry thinks the defense will want the trial postponed.

Legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said that's confirmation of the story WFTV broke weeks ago, that the defense could be planning to pin Caylee's murder on someone else in Casey's family, possibly her father George.

Even the Anthonys' lawyer admits they're getting that indication.

IDK, George strikes me, actually has confirmed, he's a selfish man, always has been. I really don't think he will throw himself under the bus. He's about himself and what's best for him. I do believe he loved Caylee, but once again, when the chit starts flying, he will protect himself.  He's probably already making plans to move on after the trial. Find himself a sugar mama to take care of him.

One thing I've been thinking about is George's grand jury testimony. He was with Nejame then. I really hope that his lawyer talked him into complete honesty and put the fear of God in him before he testified. He can't take that back and if he tries they will go after him for lying to a grand jury. I have no idea what was said, but I hope he had Caylee's best interest in mind at the time. Plus the fact that we all know he is pissed b/c he's not showing up in court anymore.

Sorry, can't see George threatening his social life over a daughter that so blatantly hated his guts.

That's it.  I used to have to sometime travel to Tampa for work.  I would think Tampa would be heck to have to travel around, traffic wise.  I hated going there.

Orlando prepares for looming Casey Anthony trial

Mike Brooks is a law enforcement analyst for CNN, Headline News and TruTV. He said few trials have attracted the kind of national media coverage that the Anthony case has.

"It is going to be one of the most interesting cases I have seen in quite some time," Brooks said.

Only 33 news organizations, including CNN, People, Newsweek and Local 6, have seats in the courtroom, the rest will camped out outside.

A fenced-in plot of land next to the courthouse has been given the nickname "Casey Town." It will have electricity, water, telephone, Internet access and food vendors, but trial attendees are bound to spill out of Casey Town, and nearby businesses are getting ready for them.

Hoops Tavern bartender Evy Cummings said she never imagined the Anthony trial would be good for business, but now, her staff is stocking up on beer, food and other supplies to brace for the extra people the trial will bring through the doors.

"We're expecting a crowd, hopefully a good one. We're looking forward to it, actually," Cummings said.

Dozens of local businesses have participated in the building of Casey Town, as well. Stage and lighting companies, plumbers, electricians and rental facilities have all been put to work.

Out of those four only ONE is within his time frame and that is Hillsboro...........Tampa, St. Pete area.

Pam Bondi in Tampa serves as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County. Pam has become one of the leading authorities on the Casey Anthony case, and has been very vocal with her opinion of KC's guilt.

Pam Bondi was interviewed in the CBS 48 Hours special as recently as last month.
The duhfense could successfully argue KC could not get fair & impartial jurors from Hillsborough County. JMO

(prob not on the short list of potential locations for jury selection & kinda sucks cause my mom lives in Hillsborough County)

But on the upside......my in-laws live in West Palm Beach. hee hee
and.......WPB is on that short list.

I can't believe that the trial is about to start.  Anyone think that the defense will try something this weekend?  What about C & G?  I can see G making another run for a hotel.

OMG  you must have read my mind.  While cleaning the kitchen I was thinking that they must be plotting something to grab the attention/sympathy and thinking which one was going to the Hawaiian Motel.

My theory as to why KC doesn't want them in court (and it reads for all of the important events, I believe...so that must mean the entire trial) is because she knows it is going to kill Cindy to not be on the cameras and stealing all of the attention.

I wish you hadn't said that......I have felt from the beginning George would not live for the trial and it would delay the trail.

OMG I hope this is one thing you are wrong about Turbo.
I really wouldn't be surprised.  If for no other reason than it would give them a delay.  I'll bet Jose was thinking the same thing when yesterday's motion was filed to keep them away from the courtroom and away from KC.  By the time Cindy rants and raves for a few days, George will be looking for a little peace.
