Updated: TBI executing search warrants in relation to Holly Bobo disappearance
February 28, 2014

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is executing search warrants in relation to the disappearance of Holly Bobo, Illana Tate, spokeswoman for the TBI, said about 10 a.m. today.

Tate said she cannot give any further details and can only confirm that the TBI is executing search warrants.

Authorities are currently outside a house on Adams Lane in the Holladay area of north Decatur County. That house is about 15 miles from the Bobo family home where Holly was abducted on Swan Johnson Road in Darden.

It is not yet known what other locations the TBI has been searching. The Jackson Sun has a reporter and photographer on the scene on Adams Lane who will update any statements investigators make about the case.
Tate said the TBI executed search warrants at various locations in connection with the case.

The TBI said they executed search warrants in various locations, including what looks like an abandoned home on Adams Lane, near exit 126 off of Interstate 40 in Decatur County, just 15 miles from the Bobo's home.

TBI agents blocked the entrance onto the property. Officials told News 2 there are two homes on the property. It is unclear who, if anyone, lives there.

Authorities stated they are not releasing further details or naming any suspects.

As of today there is hopefully a much needed break in this case, and most importantly that it will lead to finding Holly and bringing justice on her behalf..

Cautiously optimistic..mostly due to the fact that its TBI heading up today's searches. As a Tennessee resident I do not at all have confidence in the TBI, and Holly's case is merely one of many that continues to prove their inabilities in bringing closure and justice to victims of violent crimes here, in Tennessee.

Neighbors tell Broach that the property has been searched in the past. It is described as heavily wooded, with at least one well.

Danielle Darnell, who lives in the area, says she and Holly Bobo's mother saw three men acting strangely one week before Holly disappeared.

"Holly was on stage walking around the coon hunt and they stalked her a bit," said Darnell. "Karen went up and introduced herself as Holly's mom."

Holy crap! I've intensely followed this case from day one, as its near and dear to me(both, figuratively and literally).. And the above is specific info that I did NOT know. I think we've all heard the various rumors surrounding the whole "Coon Hunt" event immediately preceding Holly's abduction, but the above, especially the above BBM, was definitely new and specific to the actual search that's presently taking place..

Definitely is making me a bit more optimistic(though, still cautiously) about this break being THE ONE that will lead to finding Holly and bringing justice on her behalf!

Property search leads to assault charge during Holly Bobo investigation
February 28, 2014

NASHVILLE, TN -
(WMC-TV) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation executed several search warrants Friday in connection with the 2011 disappearance of missing nursing student Holly Bobo.
Investigators conducted one of the searches at the home of Zachary Adams, who was arrested by Decatur County authorities on unrelated assault charges during the search.

Neighbors say investigators searched his property on Adams Lane—described as heavily wooded with at least one well—in the past in connection to the disappearance of Bobo, who went missing at 20 years old.

The TBI blocked access to Adams Lane and several marked cars were in the front yard of the home, where Adams' grandfather also resides. The homes is 14 miles north of Darden.

Agents were also seen from chopper images and sifting dirt looking for clues in an area behind Adams' home. Also, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office has a cadaver dog to assist with the investigation.

At least four vehicles were towed away from a property as a result of the search warrants. In addition, officials conducted interviews in surrounding counties.

"This is a very important time in this investigation. We're not going to say or do anything at the point to interfere with this investigation," said TBI Director Mark Gwyn Friday afternoon. "Hopefully we'll be able to return Holly home safely to her parents. That's our goal."

He said the case remains as an ongoing investigation that may span over the next several days. Gwyn did not indicate what prompted the agency to ask for the search warrants.

Danielle Darnell, who lives in the area, says she and Holly Bobo's mother saw three men acting strangely one week before Holly disappeared.

If you have information that could help investigators, call 1-800-TBI-FIND.

TBI executes search warrants nearly 3 years after Holly Bobo's disappearance
February 28, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation executed search warrants in the disappearance of Holly Bobo Friday after receiving credible information in the case.

Authorities said the search warrants were executed in various locations, including one around 7 a.m. at a home on Adams Lane, near exit 126 off of Interstate 40 in Decatur County. The location is just 15 miles from the Bobo's home.

TBI agents blocked the entrance onto the property and brought cadaver dogs to the scene to search the area. There are two homes on the property, one of which belongs to Zach Adams.

Adams, 29, has not been named a suspect in the case.

"To say we have a suspect in this case would be premature," Executive Officer of the TBI Illana Tate said in a release.

Adams was however, arrested Friday on an aggravated assault charge, according to WBBJ-TV.

It is unclear what the charge stems from.

News 2 has also learned he was arrested on Wednesday on drug charges at his girlfriend's home in Benton County.

Authorities brought two vehicles on tow trucks to the scene late Friday afternoon. They remain parked at the scene. One of the vehicles belongs to Adams, but it is unclear how either vehicle relates to the case.

TBI Director Mark Gwyn said late Friday he expects the investigation to continue through the night and possibly for the next several days.

He added that investigators are conducting several interviews in Decatur County and surrounding counties.

A $250,000 reward is being offered in the case.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

TBI, FBI searching for information about Holly Bobo's disappearance

HOLLADAY, TN (WSMV) -
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation executed several search warrants Friday in connection with the 2011 disappearance of missing nursing student Holly Bobo.

TBI Director Mark Gwyn held a press conference Friday afternoon near the scene of one of the searches, the home of Zachary Adams, on Adams Lane in Decatur County.

Adams was arrested by Decatur County authorities on Friday afternoon on unrelated aggravated assault charges.

"Early this morning, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation began executing search warrants in Decatur and surrounding counties," said Gwyn. "We're also conducting several interviews in Decatur and surrounding counties."

Neighbors indicated that the home being searched was that of Zachary Adams and his grandfather on Adams Lane, located off Highway 641/69 just south of Interstate 40.

The TBI has blocked access to Adams Lane and several marked cars are in the front yard. A cadaver dog from the Shelby County Sheriff's Office has also been brought to the scene.

Authorities brought at least two vehicles on flatbed tow trucks to the scene.

"This is a very important time in this investigation. We're not going to say or do anything at the point to interfere with this investigation," said Gwyn. "Hopefully we'll be able to return Holly home safely to her parents. That's our goal."

Agents were also seen from Air 4 sifting dirt looking for clues in an area behind Adams' home.

Adams had been released Wednesday from the Benton County jail after posting bond on drug-related charges prior to his arrest Friday.

The TBI will not confirm specifically where the searches were taking place, who had been served with the warrants or what they were searching.

"We've come a long way and it's taken a long time to get to the point we are now," said Gwyn. "Now's not the time to put anything in jeopardy."

Gwyn also did not indicate what prompted the agency to ask for the search warrants.

"We believe there are people, individuals, in Decatur County that have information in the disappearance of Holly Bobo, and we're asking them to come forward," Gwyn said.

The massive search comes just one day before Bobo's friends and family had already planned to gather for a day of prayer.

Corinth Baptist Church, at 1350 Corinth Road in Darden, will be open Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Search Warrant Issued in Holly Bobo Case, Whitney Duncan Asks for Prayers
February 28, 2014

Singer Whitney Duncan’s cousin Holly Bobo went missing nearly three years ago, but police haven’t given up their search. A search warrant was recently executed although authorities remain tight-lipped on the nature of the search.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation executed this latest search warrant. A spokesperson told the Tennessean that it’d be premature to say they have a suspect, adding, “We have been working leads on this case which led to the search warrant executions. There is no other information about this case that I can release.”
Bobo was abducted on April 13, 2011. She was seen being led from her home by a man in camouflage. Thus far no suspect has been named, although new information discovered last year suggests a local man may be the perpetrator. A non-profit called Without Warning took on the case in May.

Throughout the three years Duncan has continued to hold out hope and ask for prayers and for her cousin to be remembered.

Pray for #HollyBobo http://t.co/PdM47B7Wdf

TBI says seach to continue this weekend in Holly Bobo investigation
9:39 p.m. EST February 28, 2014

TBI Director Mark Gwyn spoke to media Friday afternoon at the scene of one location where authorities were executing search warrants in the investigation into the disappearance of Decatur County nursing student Holly Bobo.

Gwyn said authorities will continue their searches today, Saturday and possibly Sunday at a property on Adams Lane in northern Decatur County and other locations. He wouldn't say what the other locations are, just that there are multiple locations being searched in Decatur and surrounding counties.

Authorities have been searching the property on Adams Lane since early this morning.

Property records indicate the property is owned by Zachary Adams. Gwyn declined to comment about Adams.

The TBI has not named any suspects in the investigaton and has said it would be premature to say there are any suspects at this point.

Zach Adams, 29, was booked into the Decatur County Jail today on a charge of aggravated assault, according to Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt. Wyatt said he couldn't say whether that charge is in any way connected to the Bobo case, and a TBI spokeswoman said she had no information on the assault charge. Wyatt said he couldn't comment on what led to the charge.

Adams' grandfather, Dick Adams, declined comment.

A friend of Zach Adams', Danielle Darnell, said the TBI met with her and members of her family today to ask about Zach Adams. She wouldn't say what investigators asked her specifically.

The property on Adams Lane is about 15 miles from the Bobo family home where Holly was abducted on Swan Johnson Road in Darden.

Holly Bobo Case: Owner Of Property Searched Arrested
Posted on: 10:52 am, February 28, 2014
updated on: 09:09pm, February 28, 2014

(Madison County, TN) Multiple sources tell us the owner of the property searched Friday in connection to the Holly Bobo case has been arrested.

Zachary Adams is charged with aggravated assault.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirms search warrants were executed at the property Friday, and a Shelby County cadaver dog is being used in the search

The TBI blocked the entrance to property near exit 126 off of 1-40 toward Parsons.
Adams is said to be good friends with Bobo’s cousin.

Several cars have been towed away by the TBI.

Holly Bobo was 20 years old when she mysteriously disappeared from her home in Parsons, Tenn., in April 2011.

Holly’s brother Clint said he saw her led into the woods by a man wearing camouflage.
He said it was too far to clearly identify who was with his sister.

There have been many tips in the case, but nothing that has led to significant evidence.

According to the TBI, “To say we have a suspect in this case would be premature. We have been working leads on this case which led to the search warrant executions.”

Hopefully, these search warrants will lead to arrests and convictions and justice for Holly.

Local "gossip" seems to believe that someone's religious conversion has prompted the break-through that was needed. That has not been confirmed by any news source I have read but, more than likely, LE is protecting the source of their new info plus not all plea deals are ever  made public.  "Rumor" is that the info may have come from someone who was either sentenced to life or a long term.  Again, that info is not confirmed.

Since it's obvious (sorry, Muffy) that I still can't do links correctly, here are the most local news websites for Holly's area:

wbbjtv.com
jacksonsun.com

The first is the television station closest to her home; the second, the largest daily newspaper.

Of course, the Nashville and Memphis stations and papers are also leading the story but the above two are the closest to her home.

Searches ramp up in Holly Bobo case
TBI serves warrants; search to continue today at multiple locations

Mar. 1, 2014

No arrests have been made and the TBI has not named any suspects in the Bobo investigation.

“To say we have a suspect in this case would be premature,” said Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Illana Tate in an email Friday.

Gwyn said the TBI was searching several other properties in and around Decatur County on Friday and that those efforts would continue today and possibly Sunday. Gwyn would not say how many properties are being searched, where they’re located, what investigators are looking for specifically or who has been served with search warrants.

The property on Adams Lane, in the Holladay area in north Decatur County, is about 15 miles north of Bobo’s home on Swan Johnson Road in Darden.

Zach Adams could not be reached for comment. Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt said Adams was booked into the Decatur County Jail on Friday on an unrelated charge of aggravated assault. Wyatt said he could not release further details about the assault charge.

Neighbors said Adams lives with his grandfather, Dick Adams, who declined to comment when reached by phone Friday.

Zach Adams also was arrested earlier this week in Benton County on drug charges.

Could it be that Zachary Adams IS NOT a suspect in the disappearance of Holly Bobo but is privy to the happenings of April 11, 2011 for the past three years?  It has been reported that he is a friend of Holly's cousin.

I may be wrong but ... considering the changing stories of Clint regarding his alleged observations of Holly's abduction ...I have not budged from my position that there has been a family cover-up.

Search warrants being executed in Holly Bobo case
Feb. 28, 2014

State and federal investigators will continue through today to interview and conduct search warrants connected with the disappearance of Holly Bobo.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn called the next few days a “very important time in this investigation” since the then-20-year-old disappeared in Decatur County in 2011.

“We believe there are people in Decatur County that have vital information pertaining to the disappearance of Holly Bobo,” he said.

Gwyn spoke during a Friday afternoon news conference at one of the locations where authorities were executing search warrants as part of the Bobo investigation.

Gwyn said authorities will continue their searches today and possibly Sunday at a property on Adams Lane in northern Decatur County and other locations in Decatur and surrounding counties.

The TBI has not named any suspects.

Authorities had been searching the property on Adams Lane since early Friday morning. The property is about 15 miles from the Bobo family home where Holly was abducted on Swan Johnson Road in Darden.
