I promised myself I would not allow this trial to interfer with my home and life...so it's the first day and I am keeping on keeping on....careful with your toe    they sure didn't want that mom on the jury!!

Not me, I knew full well I would be MIA for the full time of the trial and have already instructed the kids on making believe I am not here, until after 5 pm.

I think that employers should have to pay people who are called to jury duty at least a portion of their salary...

cookie, I noticed and posted the same observation...something sure changed.
I agree however I think the court system should pay a reasonable amount so that more people could serve.

It would go much faster if JBP did not ask each side if they have any objections after each one that is being discharged. 

They could just raise their hands if they have an objection or he could just say any objections.

Considering the length of time this trial may go it sure limits the pool, especially considering our economic times, not many are in a position to go without income for up to 2 months.  KC has no clue just how wide a path of destruction she has left behind.

Mason is really really agreeable to excusing mothers of small children. But about jumped up and down for the woman who didn't want to judge another person. How transparent. That lady should have been excused right then and there.

I agree....but they seem to have forgotten that father's have small children too....and grandpa's and grandma's have small grandchildren. Everyone hates a baby killer

I think they're doing better than anyone thought they would. I think they also have selection tomorrow (?). JP said originally said this shouldn't take longer than 5 days, but was willing to keep going even if it meant delaying the trial by a day or so. I think they'll be all done by end of day Wednesday.

I thought that it was Casey...right after she made a joke about the guy with the birds..then Mason made the remark about almost time to hear ice tinkling in a glass..who could think about booze when this is such a serious subject..He is looking forward to cocktail hour and a child is dead...

Well, I got a tickle hearing that....cuz poor KC can't go with them now, can she?  And I bet that she couldn't bring any of her goodies with her from the commissary from the Orange County jail.  Kinda sucks to be her.
