I am so lost...... has anyone at all been actually chosen/passed the tests to be a juror yet> Do they even have 1 that is 'a go' ?

Oh yeah...WHY didn't this process start weeks ago???? Why did they wait till the last minute to get the jurors? This could take months!

IMO Trial will start in October 2011 at the rate they are going.

About the "bangs".  She had bangs when she was jailed, and they are not comparatively longer as the rest of her hair.  She had to have at least trimmed them at some point or they'd be much longer. IMO

I don't think KC gets that most people with kids concerned about leaving them to serve on her jury
I don't think KC gets that people have lives and hardships and deal with them
I don't think KC gets that having people sit on her jury will cause them financial hardship as normal people do not just help themselves to other peoples money

I don't really see a difference from be sequestered in Orlando or in Clearwater, in this case.  Sequestration is sequestration.   Can anyone explain why being in Orlando for 6 - 8 weeks is a big deal as opposed to a juror's own county?  Is it the possibility of family not being able to get to Orlando to visit?

My DH would be giving me all kinds of reasons why I can't serve if he had to watch my 5 and 2 year old alone.  LOL  My kids aren't that young and he'd still be stressed out for 2 whole months.

Thanks, SeeMe for keeping logs of the potential jurors.  It will be interesting to look back later after they're chosen to have a little info on them.

Yes, and she look like she's "trying to hide" behind the hair falling all over her face (I won't call them bang....hair is too long for bangs, IMO)

IMO Trial will start in October 2011 at the rate they are going.

He is going through about 100 people, then if they pass the hardship round, he will have them come back for more qeustions on Thurs or Friday.  I think, at most, 2 weeks for jury selection, with trial starting the following week.

If there is a family emergency and they were in Pinellas a sheriff could drive them to the hospital but if they are in Orlando the arrangements would take a lot longer.

I don't see where anyone answered you.  This is the first "draft" where they ask a few questions to weed out those who have medical, financial, etc. reasons.  The others will come back to be questioned by each side and weeded out then.  They're being told they will come back in a day or two for that.

I'm still curious about ICA's "incident" this a.m.  When the court went back on the record, the first thing was Finnell (no mic so couldn't hear it all) at the podium complaining about something, then commenting on the racial makeup of the jury pool.
Judge's first comments in reply were about his jury instructions.  He stated he had made the same speech/instructions to jurors in at least 15 death penalty trials and that it had gone thru appeals at least 8 times and no problems.  He gives the same speech each time.  Do you think ICA had a problem with what the judge was saying to the potential jurors??  Thoughts anyone??

JB better handle ICA carefully if he's ever "handled her" before.  If he's done anything at all inappropriate with her, she'll squeal like a pig, once she's convicted for sure.  If not sooner.

Agree he is a clown, and rude and abrasive....often those who think they are comedians really are azzes clowns and come across like CM, extremely irritating. Yep you sure can predict who he will grill question. I mention NG cause I couldn't hear it on the video, but could hear it when played on NG.

Also, I do not believe they can get jurors any length of time before the actual trial w/o sequestering them (which they won't do until the actual trial) w/o the chance they will be tainted.  So, it has to be done right before trial, like they are doing.
