I'm still curious about ICA's "incident" this a.m.  When the court went back on the record, the first thing was Finnell (no mic so couldn't hear it all) at the podium complaining about something, then commenting on the racial makeup of the jury pool.
Judge's first comments in reply were about his jury instructions.  He stated he had made the same speech/instructions to jurors in at least 15 death penalty trials and that it had gone thru appeals at least 8 times and no problems.  He gives the same speech each time.  Do you think ICA had a problem with what the judge was saying to the potential jurors??  Thoughts anyone??

I asked about this earlier and had no responses.  I'm very curious about ICA incident this morning.  Not sure if it was drama conjured up by ICA.  Maybe she said she was going to throw up - but she was only gone for a very brief period -

As for Finnell complaining to the judge - I do think the defense thinks they are going to make hay over jury selection and no doubt the incident yesterday with the "tainted" juror et al pleased them no end.

can and AZ...to the best of my knowledge no one outside of the court room knows what happened...I checked tweets and am still checking them to see if I can find out. I, like anyone else would just be guessing at this point.  I agree they are going to try to make something of it....however they are given the opportunity to questions each of the selected jurors during voir dire...so if they accept them I think that would put an end to that whine

Day 3: Once Again, As Judge Reads Charges, Casey Cries

As Judge Belvin Perry read the charges against Casey, she began to cry. It is the second time she has cried since her trial began on Monday. She shook her head "no" when Perry described how she's charged with abusing and murdering her daughter Caylee and lying to investigators.

WFTV reporter Kathi Belich was inside the courtroom when one of the prospective jurors said "crap" when she walked in and realized it was Casey's trial.

Another got upset and wiped her eyes when the judge described the charges against Casey.

Shortly before noon, out of those 50:   12 were kept, and 5 were dismissed. An additional 40 are to be brought in for the afternoon session for questioning.

05/11/11 – It has come to the attention of Texas EquuSearch that the jury panel in the Casey Anthony case was dismissed yesterday due to comments made by a potential juror to the jury pool. This person was later identified as Patricia Young, and has been referred to as an “employee” and/or “member” in the media.  Ms. Young is not currently, and never has been, a member of Texas EquuSearch. Additionally, we do not have employees – we are strictly a volunteer organization. She was simply one of approximately 4,000 civilian volunteers who showed up to search for Caylee Anthony in an effort led by Texas EquuSearch.

If I were a potential juror, seeing that dark-headed woman fawn all over KC like in the picture would turn me off!

We don't know but "think" she might be a jury consultant.  IMO, she is not helping potential jurors to think nice thought of KC by fawning all over her...it looks contrived......so, if this woman is a jury consultant, IMO, she's not doing a good job.

Geez, the way the defense table chairs are placed, I have to wonder if this screen shot includes some of the potential jurors in the gallery early this morning. I would be ticked if I were a potential juror, told my name or pic would not be used, only to find out later that there I am on video. I suppose they could be media and spectators, but seems to me casey's breakdown occurred when JP was reading the charges....

I am so lost...... has anyone at all been actually chosen/passed the tests to be a juror yet> Do they even have 1 that is 'a go' ?

Oh yeah...WHY didn't this process start weeks ago???? Why did they wait till the last minute to get the jurors? This could take months!

IMO Trial will start in October 2011 at the rate they are going.

He is going through about 100 people, then if they pass the hardship round, he will have them come back for more qeustions on Thurs or Friday.  I think, at most, 2 weeks for jury selection, with trial starting the following week.

I sort of think kc is throwing the only kind of temper tantrum she can under the circumstances. Her little bubble of reality has been that she was this integral part of the "team" and her handlers are really paying attention to the blogs, they adapt her behavior after every barrage of comments.  Today she's sitting there like a fairly normal defendant would but she's sullen and is punishing Bobo by refusing to sit near him (as if). She's so self centered that I'm imagining that the jury selection is waay second to her consuming tiff with Baez. He's probably relieved but I'd bet she thinks this is killing him.....when they "make up" ,the old perky kc will be back without a care in the world . That's my .02.
