This just my reasoning but if I were Hispanic I would be the last one they would want after lying and trying to blame a Hispanic woman for kidnapping Caylee.

Please don't take this as racist, it's not meant to sound ugly at all.  I used to work with some Spanish speaking folks who would laugh and admit that they would pretend not to understand certain things if it benefited them.  I am not saying that's what's going on here, but I have to wonder if it will happen.

JP has repeatedly stated that the trial will begin on Tues the 17th and that jury selection may run over into Saturday, if that's what it takes...he is determined and persistent, I like that!

I DO TOO SAMARIE.  He has said that the trial will be over by July 14th , too..and I believe that.  Once the case hits the court Baez will not be able to stop the flow of the court with his motions and whiny attitude.  Once the rubber hits the road here..which will be shortly..Baez will have to change from insolent whiner to a confident attorney..same with Foghorn.  If they can not keep up with the pace that is their problems..not the courts.  And the case can be heard as late into the evening as the jurors are feeling confident they can listen and appraise what they are hearing.  Foghorn's comfort and needs are not considered..the comfort of the jurors is what calls the shots once trial starts ..not the comfort of the accused and her attorneys.

It would seem that way.  I don't think a jury wouldn't appreciate her need for all that attention.  I mean, when she was in the role of mother, she wouldn't have had the attention, Caylee would.  I don't think that behavior would reflect well with a jury.

Then how did they get a driver's license? I thought that is how they drew for potential jurors?

Is the potential juror possibly a convicted felon?  Would convicted felons be allowd to serve on a jury?  Would that be a question on the juror form?

My husband works with Asian folks and he says the same thing..if it is something they don't want to get in trouble for or don't want to admit to, they will say  "no understand" when really they do...

I am astounded that a 'sequestered' jury will be allowed to have visits from family members on the weekends, go out for dinner to nearby restaurants, go swimming in the hotel pool, exercise in the hotel gym, etc.  Why even sequester them then?  Isn't this going against what sequestering is intended for?  It just sounds to me like allowing any of this is to beg for further problems with some jurors having access to public info, talking about the case etc.  Not to mention how very much easier it might be for the defense to gain access to these jurors. 

 
I thought they could do these things, but that they would be supervised.  Maybe I'm wrong...

Here the jurors are taken as a group to restaurants accompanied by court officers at all times. If they even go to the swimming pool, or spa, normally they go as a group officers go with them. If their family comes to see them, they visit in their rooms or hotel where they can be observed. (not observed in their hotel room but if they go out of their room) They are not allowed free reign.

A convicted felon is not allowed to serve in this state. When they turn in their original forms here the clerk runs all their records and a warrant check to make sure none of them are felons. I think Florida law is the same, but I am not sure.

Same thing with the ones I know. They seem to be able to see through her fast. I don't know if many of them have seen such corruption in their home countries that they had to learn to spot it to survive or if it is just a natural instinct they seem to have.
