earlier today bozo-azz mentioned a part of the trial where the family of the victim would speak on behalf of the victim and I realized Caylee has no one!

I agree AKmom, Caylee does need a court appointed advocate

JB is going to claim KC is also a victim.  I hope someone, perhaps CA's brother Rick, will speak for Caylee.

Why is it that the prosecution can stand up, ask questions, get their answers and sit down ...

while the defense has give a five minute welcoming diatribe, spin long yarns and scenarios to fit their questions, and ask and rephrase constantly?!!

With regards to this Baez question that he asks about a person not being required to be a part of their own defense or does the defense have to provide a defense.

The obvious answer is ... no, a defendant is not required by law to stake the stand in their own defense. No they do not have to testify not by law does the defense have to provide any data that proves their client's innocence.

However, that being said ... you would have to be foolish, ie Baez, to not present some type of alternate scenario of the crime or if they could prove their client's innocence thru evidence.

The defense is not required, but it looks better to the jury. It also looks better that the defendant is not hiding and refusing to take the witness stand. It would always weigh in the back of one's mind ... why didn't they take the stand and say to the jury ... i did not do it.

I really don't think the jurors names should be released at all to the duhfense.
I'm more concerned with the duhfense knowing the names of the jurors than the media.

He's the only one I thought of too.  And I think he would be fine if Cindy disowned him for doing so.  I really would like to see someone, other than the prosecutors, get up and tell this jury about sweet Caylee.  Do we know if Rick ever spent any time with Caylee?  I just remember him talking about everyone else, but not her, although it was very obvious that he cared deeply about what happened to Caylee.
