I have to add that is unless the defense flat out states that they are going to throw George under the bus

ok, I really hate this thought but what if GA became incapacitated -- unable to defend himself against the allegations ...

Ya know... I don't trust George as far as I could throw him. This could be something to try to delay his testimony, or ultimately create some kind of sympathy, or perhaps even a pathetic attempt to get KC's attention. I think that GA and KC are fairly similar in that way.
Boy, I agree Scatty. GA, having another issue can certainly be suspect considering his suicide by pizza, beer attempt, could be a way to "do anything to help his daughter" as Baez got him to say on the stand. It also gives him the ability to let the testimony about him go on with the escape hatch of not refuting it because he's too incapacitated.

Would Cindy lie (or tell the truth for that matter) if it makes Cindy look bad?

I am not sure she knows the difference between a lie and the truth IMO.

ok, what are the arguments for and against an atheist?
good or bad for the defense?

I'd guess "good" for the defense, but that's just my opinion. Not all "believers" have ethical standards and certainly not all atheists lack them, but there are definitions of right and wrong based on scripture that those who propose to believe should be familiar with and at least verbalize agreement with. It just seems to me that atheism relies more on the "human condition" to determine right and wrong whereas believers submit to a "divine" standard and justice based on that.

JUST MY OPINION and not intended to offend anyone! I'm positive there are many examples from both persuasions that would contradict what I just said!

so aside from Casey's word what is their evidence of sexual abuse?

and she would have to testify to get that in.

In your opinion, would Cindy ever lie for her to that extent?

Yes

Would Cindy lie (or tell the truth for that matter) if it makes Cindy look bad?

She would lie about anything to save Casey including throwing her husband under the bus & she doesnt care how she looks in the given situation as she has already exhibited.   Cindy normally cares what people think but all bets are off to save her monster.

Thanks Curly.....kind of what I was thinking.......Blowhole's questioning George's suicide attempt in the past got the rumor mill going...IMO

against the grain, I know, but I rather like AF.  She is so calm and if I were her client I would feel a bit reassured.
I like her demeaner.
She reminds me of a person from my past.............maybe that is why I like her?

Do you all think that the reason why G & C aren't there (and the defense doesn't WANT them there), is because they are going to try to portray KC as ALL ALONE...with NO family support....abandoned by her friends & family...blah blah blah?

PS  My dream last nite was about me eating cheerios and pouring a coke in it instead of milk....wonder what that means?

Finnell adding a litany of excuses (mitigating factors) for leniency during death penalty phase, actually makes Casey look guilty even before the trial begins.   She can list a mile long one, the statute states very clearly what is to be considered a mitigating factor.

Yes
( Sorry about quote stack..... seemed necessary to respond on this.)

I think she would. I keep thinking about Mallory's depo, where she said that one of Cindy's reaction to George's "almost" suicide attempt was to think about leaving him. Yeah, I think she'd not only throw him under the bus, but would drive it as well. Brad Conway disagrees with that. He said on TruTV, that the Ants would not verify an allegation of abuse in their testimony and the only way to get it in would be for Casey to testify. He thinks she will testify..

If I have to fake a vacation, I will not miss Casey testifying! The State will have a field day with her!

I dont mind her demeanor but I do not respect what she stands for.   I wish her demeanor & skills as an attorney would be considerate of the victim as opposed to how adamantly she defends murderers.  I wouldnt even mind if her personal convictions toward the DP were duly noted but to the extent her or Lyon take it makes me wonder what got twisted.

This is just my personal opinion but when is SOMEONE going to grow a pair and put a stop to this sideshow?  KC, the Anthony's, the defense--you name it, they have control of this trail and are doing everything they can to derail this trial.  I don't buy Georgie boy's sudden hospital visit.  Too convenient.  They are all in this together and the main goal is to get their "precious" off the hook for murdering her baby.  There has to be someone out there that can put a stop to all this.

Casey will not make it through cross exam if she testifies. no way. She will throw a fit; pass out; go ballistic on the prosecutor. No way does she have the composure to sit up there and lie. Nope. She lost her "touch" when they found Caylee's body.

I LOVE IT!!

The State may be planning to let the jurors get a whiff of the car!

My God, do you suppose the car still has the odor?

Get the smelling saltz out for KC.
