ok, what are the arguments for and against an atheist?
good or bad for the defense?

I'd guess "good" for the defense, but that's just my opinion. Not all "believers" have ethical standards and certainly not all atheists lack them, but there are definitions of right and wrong based on scripture that those who propose to believe should be familiar with and at least verbalize agreement with. It just seems to me that atheism relies more on the "human condition" to determine right and wrong whereas believers submit to a "divine" standard and justice based on that.

JUST MY OPINION and not intended to offend anyone! I'm positive there are many examples from both persuasions that would contradict what I just said!

MOO but I would say bad for the defense.  My feeling is that an atheist would have few qualms about voting for the death penalty.

I LOVE IT!!

The State may be planning to let the jurors get a whiff of the car!

My God, do you suppose the car still has the odor?

Get the smelling saltz out for KC.

I'm telling you it is the tell-tale heart of this case! That odor!

against the grain, I know, but I rather like AF.  She is so calm and if I were her client I would feel a bit reassured.
I like her demeaner.
She reminds me of a person from my past.............maybe that is why I like her?

I like her a lot more than foghorn or bozo.

I dislike everyone of them and that includes that new one married to the serial killer.

say what now? who is that?

Large lady in Red today - Rosalie Bolin aka (Tupperware lady) was married to prominent lawyer, left him and their 4 daughters to marry the serial killer rapist she was on the defense team on who now sits on death row.  All about her in the last thread.

I can hardly watch anymore. It seems like they have so much latitude in interrogation that they almost put their trial on while questioning the pj's and then they basically "try" the juror, FTLOG ............get on with it

Casey will not make it through cross exam if she testifies. no way. She will throw a fit; pass out; go ballistic on the prosecutor. No way does she have the composure to sit up there and lie. Nope. She lost her "touch" when they found Caylee's body.

Nope, her evil will come shining thru & she cannot contain herself.   The jury will get ALL of Casey not just what the defense coaches her to do

I believe he testified that when the container was opened, he jumped back 2 feet with odor he was very familiar with as human decomposition.

My dad was an atheist who insisted we go to church because it was a good moral base. He believed in obeying the law and living by the golden rule. He was an honorable and respected man.

Here's the smell of pizza in a car trunk in Florida heat -- here's the smell of a decomposing body. Can you smell the difference?
