NJ teen’s death in pond ruled suicide by drowning; heavy cocaine levels found in body

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The death of a New Jersey high school student whose body was found in a pond four days after she went missing has been ruled a suicide by drowning.

Results of toxicology tests released Tuesday show Sarah Townsend of Florence died with “significant levels” of cocaine in her system.
