Wow, a grandma with children that she is very proud of and has 3 grand children. She just seems to be a nice old grandma.

Some issues in life, kids, herself ... but no one killed anybody.

She thinks its been a long day and a long week. Wait until she sees what 2 months of this is like.

Who will make the 'victim impact statement' for little Caylee?

That's been a question here karen.  I'm not sure any of use know how that will go down.  I personally see Cindy and George giving a "victim impact statement" but with more pleading for Casey's life, than actually feeling bad about Caylee being murdered.

Son in trouble for cashing a bad check.  Grandson got arrested for drugs.  Kids ages 52, 49, 48.  Eldest daughter is a LT Coronel, other daughter a teacher, son is on disability.  3 Grandkids.  There was an arrest for a DUI in 1998 but she was never convicted of it.

It really really really bothers me that they can do background checks on potential jurors.

plus if he is a struggling actor, the $30 a day may look pretty darn good to him!

Jurors in California only $15 per day so Florida is looking pretty good to me too 

Dallas County -- $5.00/day and a free round trip bus pass. You can park for $5.00/day!

IIRC it's $10 a day here, unless/until you're chosen to serve.  Then it increases to either $20 or $30 a day for the actual trial.

Last time I served in Dallas Co, they asked if we wanted to donate our jury pay to underprivilege children. Trial lasted 3 weeks and they asked if we wanted to change our minds about giving to the kids or getting a check. Everyone but me took the check, I gave it to the kids. But that was years ago.
