The ongoing silence coming from within the the Holly Bobo investigation is deafening.

Considering the inconsistencies revealed by TBI spokespersons encompassing Clint Bobo's observations and actions on the morning of April 13th that cause me to speculate that an abduction may never have happened ... I cannot move passed my focus of suspicion ... Holly Bobo's brother.

There was only one witness to the alleged abduction of Holly Bobo.  TBI investigators were not present.  Logic dictates that the changing stories revealed by TBI spokespersons could have only come from one source.

Bottom line ... there is only one truth and ... the truth never changes.

April 16th - TBI John Mehr - Not Forcefully Dragged

Holly Bobo ‘In Fear of Her Life’
April 16, 2011

Holly Bobo, 20, was confronted Wednesday by a man in hunting camouflage who forced her to go with him into the woods, said John Mehr, spokesman for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

“What we believe, and I’ll tell you he actually had an arm holding her and so we feel that she knew that she was in fear of her life so she was complying with his commands,” he told a news conference.

Mehr said investigators “did not see drag marks.” He added she was “not forcefully dragged and she’s like any other victim, maybe complying with her attacker, but she walked into the woods” outside her Pasrons, Tenn. home.

Bobo’s 25-year-old brother Clint watched from inside the home, but did not believe she was being abducted until later. He saw the stranger from behind and believed it was his sister’s boyfriend.

Her brother, said Mehr, “had reasons to believe [the man] was not an attacker,” and did not call 911 until he saw blood outside.

April 27th - TBI Kristin Helms - There was Some Miscommunication

Holly Bobo Abduction: 2-week-wrap-up; rumors dispelled; next steps
April 27th, 2011 12:32 pm ET

<snipped>

“Dragged” or “led” into the woods

There has been some confusion regarding how the case was initially reported.

Initially law enforcement stated Holly was last seen being “dragged” into the woods by a man dressed in camouflage clothing.

They later changed the wording to Holly was “led” into the woods.

This spurred online attacks against Holly’s brother, Clint Bobo, who was the last person to see her as she was being led into the woods.

Some questioned whether Clint changed his story, if media misreported, or if there was a miscommunication from law enforcement.

Asked where the confusion came, Helm said, “I don't have Clint's statements in front of me to be able to tell you exactly what he said.

“I can tell you that there was some miscommunication,” Helm said.

TBI John Mehr stated that Clint Bobo claimed he was unconcerned when he observed his sister walking into to the woods with who he perceived to be her boyfriend.

According to a April 13th FBI Media Release ... Clint's original description regarding height and weight of the alleged abductor did conform somewhat to the approximate size of Holly's current boyfriend.  However ... on May 4th according to TBI John Mehr ... the description changed.  Why?  There is no way that Drew Scott is 220 pounds.

There was only one witness to the alleged abduction of Holly Bobo.  TBI investigators were not present.  Logic dictates that the changing stories revealed by TBI spokespersons could have only come from one source.

Bottom line ... there is only one truth and ... the truth never changes.

Despite changing stories revealed by TBI spokespersons ... within two days of Holly's alleged abduction ... according to TBI John Mehr ... Clint Bobo had been ruled out as a suspect.  Whether or not Clint was involved with the happenings encompassing his sister's disappearance .... he was the ONLY witness to the alleged abduction.  In the process of elimination ... in the persuant of justice ... was Clint investigated as a person of interest?  Did Holly's brother submit to a polygraph?

On April 17th ... in a press conference Kristin Helm backtracked from TBI's original position and ... conceded the Clint had not be ruled out as a personal of interest but ... she upheld Holly's brother nevertheless.

When it is considered that according to Sheriff Wyatt three Law Enforcement agencies responded to Clint Bobo's 911 call on April 13th ... it makes sense that the original account ..."drug across the carport" ... is what caused all the activity ... not the second account reported in a press conference by TBI John Mehr on April 16 ... not the second account which revealed a small amount of blood discovered which was deemed not to be life threatening ... not the second account regarding a walk into the woods with a longtime boyfriend.

Authorities: 20-Year-Old Woman May Have Been Abducted

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. - A massive search is underway for a missing Decatur County woman. Investigators believe 20-year-old Holly Bobo was abducted from her home on Wednesday morning.

Investigators said it happened on Swan Johnson Road in Darden around 7:30 a.m. Her brother told police that a man wearing camouflage grabbed the young woman, dragged her across her carport and pulled her into some nearby woods.

Authorities said Holly Bobo was on her way to school. She is a student at the UT Martin campus.

Authorities are now searching the area. The sheriff said they've been searching a five mile square radius on the ground and by air, but have yet to come up with anything.

Hundreds of people from the community have come out to help in the effort.

Volunteers have been out on horseback, on four wheelers, even on foot doing all they can to find this young woman.

Somehow I do not believe that TBI Kristen Helm got it wrong in her April 13th  media release on the TBI website.

I speculate that Clint reported to 911 that he observed Holly being "drug" into the woods but ... when skeptics began questioning why he never interfered ... why he never attempted to assist his sister ... the story changed and the changed story was revealed by TBI John Mehr on April 16th.

Sheriff Wyatt - Conflict of Interest?

Holly Bobo: Big-city crime comes to small tight-knit community; safety tips
May 2nd, 2011 11:38 pm ET

Pastor Roy Wyatt was elected in 2010 for a second four-year term as Decatur County Sheriff. He has served as pastor of Darden Baptist Church since 1999 and was first elected sheriff of Decatur County in 2006.

Roy Wyatt is called “Brother Roy” and “Sheriff Wyatt” and when asked says he doesn’t see any conflict in his two roles. “It doesn’t matter what the job is. You still have to honor God first,” he said.

Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt said during a phone conversation Thursday afternoon, “I attended several prayer services this morning. We prayed for many things, Holly was definitely remembered in our prayers. This is a very emotional time for me. I want to find her. I feel for our community, I feel for Holly’s family. When they hurt, we hurt. We’re not giving up on Holly - we’re going to do everything we can to find her.”

Asked Thursday if it’s safe to say many believe Holly is still alive Sheriff Wyatt said, “Yes, it’s safe to say that.”

The orginal story ... "drug across the carport" ... which was reported in an April 13 TBI Media Release does not explain the time lapse between the neighbour's 911 call reporting a woman's scream and Clint's 911 call.

EVIDENCE?

TBI Kristin Helms - Lunch Box - Duct Tape with Blonde Hair

Search For Whitney Duncan's Missing Cousin Turns Up Evidence
First Posted: 04/25/11 04:17 PM ET Updated: 04/25/11 04:17 PM ET

Local and state law enforcement authorities have coordinated massive search efforts behind Bobo's home and throughout the surrounding area. In the days following her disappearance, investigators found what they described as a vital clue in her abduction.

"We found her lunch box about 8 miles from her home. It was on [the side of the road] where searchers had been searching," Helm said. "[It was] easily identifiable by her family."

Helm said authorities do not know if Bobo was carrying the lunch box when she was abducted but did say it is an item she would typically take with her every morning to the local technical school where she was studying to be a licensed practical nurse.

Authorities are still trying to determine if another recent find -- a strip of duct tape with her hair on it -- is connected to the case. "It is being tested forensically to see if there is a connection," Helm said.

The new evidence found during the search for Holly Bobo was her cell phone, found roadside on Hwy. 69.

Although law enforcement are not revealing any information concerning the "significant" item found during Sunday's search, a member of the search teams has revealed the item was believed to be Holly's cell phone.

Reportedly, the cell phone was located on side of the road on Hwy. 69 in Parsons, near Holly's father's place of employment, as well as Kolpack, a nearby factory, and the Tennessee Technology Center, where Holly was attending school.

Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt has related that law enforcement received a tip Sunday, April 24, 2011, which lead the investigation and search for Holly Bobo into Northern Decatur County. The Sheriff stated that a tip was received by phone, prompting a search of the area, during the late evening hours of Easter Sunday. In the course of the search, a new item was discovered, which law enforcement considered "significant", and apparently substantial enough for the Decatur County rescue squad and volunteer firefighters to be dispatched in order to perform a specialized foot search of the area. Law enforcement are not revealing any further information about the lead or the item found, at this time.

The Holly Bobo Case - Compromised Justice?

It is unlikely that Holly parents are guilty of any wrongdoing encompassing the disappearance of their daughter.  However ... Karen and Dana may be positioned between a rock and a hard place nevertheless.  Clint is their precious son.

If an impulsive action caused the demise of Holly ... an impulsive action within a moment in time that could not be taken back ... I believe a conscience could prevail and the truth encompassing the morning of April 13th would then be revealed.  However ... the justice system must be working on behalf of this young lady.

To avoid an appearance of a conflict of interest that may encompass community ties/relationships ... is it time that the FBI took over the leading role in the Holly Bobo case from local TBI and local LE.

The changing stories of Holly's brother ... the distancing of Clint as a person of interest within two days of the alleged abduction and ... the low profile of the only witness as well as his parents implies ... something is not right.

May 3rd - TBI Kirstin Helm - Investigation Scaled Back

Bobo Family Issues Statement
By wnunley@wbbjtv.com
Story Created: May 3, 2011 at 2:56 PM CDT
Story Updated: May 4, 2011 at 12:57 PM CDT

On Tuesday, the family of Holly Bobo reportedly issued the following statement to the Associated Press in Nashville:

"We could never thank everyone enough for all the kindness that has been shown to our family during this difficult time. Thanks for your search efforts, donations, and especially your prayers for Holly and our Family. I know everyone's daily life, routines, and work must go on, but ours never will until Holly's safe return. Keep your eyes and ears open, and search your own property. Please pray for Holly's strength and everyone who is searching for our precious Holly" Holly Bobo's family.

This is the first time the family has made an official statement since the day after her abduction. To date, the family has not granted any television interviews with immediate family members.

Investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation say that a 'reduced' number of agents do remain in the county, following specific leads.

Officials add that no major 'cracks' in the case have occurred as of this moment.

A spokeswoman for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said police are still looking for Bobo, but the search has been scaled back.

She said authorities searched two places over the weekend, including one in nearby Henderson County.

"We're very much still investigating it," TBI spokeswoman Kristin Helm told The Associated Press. "We just don't have as many people dedicated to it as we did in those initials days" after her disappearance. "You just can't sustain that large an operation for a lengthy period of time."

Volunteers were called off last week because of severe weather that spawned tornadoes across the state. Rain is still hindering volunteer search efforts, Helm said.

April 14th - Sheriff Wyatt - Upholding the Bobo Family

Family Pleads For Help Finding Missing Decatur Co. Woman

PARSONS, Tenn. -  The parents of the missing 20-year-old woman in Decatur County are pleading for help to find their daughter.

The parents of 20-year-old Holly Bobo held a press conference on Thursday afternoon. A $25,000 reward is now being offered by the community.

Bobo has been missing since Wednesday morning when her brother called 911 to report she had been dragged from the carport of her her home by a man wearing camouflage clothing.

"I would tell her I love her, and tell her to call us," said her father, Dana Bobo, when asked what he would say to his daughter.

"Please help us find her, she's just so precious, you don't even know," said Karen Bobo.

Hundreds of searchers combed woods and fields in western Tennessee on Thursday looking for Holly.

"We are hopeful she's gonna be brought back soon," her father went on to say.

"The way it looks to me myself, it might have been somebody close. Somebody that kinda knew our routine, knew when she (mother) left, when I left, when my daughter left to go to school, is what I kinda got in my mind, but I don't know that for sure," her father told reporters.

"I just want her back," her mother, Karen, said in tears as she was carried away from the microphone.

"We just send a plea out to whomever might be watching to help this family, We can only imagine what they go through, they need your help," said Decatur County Sheriff Roy Wyatt.

THE LOW PROFILE OF HOLLY BOBO'S FAMILY

Dana and Karen Bobo have held ONE press conference and that was the day following their daughter's disappearance.

A statement was read by the family spokesperson at the April 20th prayer vigil and ... other statement was afforded to a media source on May 3rd.

Currently the profile of Holly's 25 year old adult brother who was the ONLY witness to her alleged abduction has been non-existence.

What is wrong with this picture.  Has legal representation, FBI, TBI and/or local LE advised members of Holly Bobo's family not to speak publicly?

Nevertheless ... there appears to be something terribly wrong with this picture.

Search effort & TBI Update

Helm said via email Tuesday afternoon, “We have no new developments to report on today.

The search was called off Sunday evening, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday due to severe weather conditions in the search area. There were threats of tornadoes over the past few days and people were, at times, urged to take shelter.

Asked when volunteer searchers might be back out searching for clues into Holly’s disappearance, Helm said, “They’re taking it on a day-by-day basis depending on the information they have.”

Asked if the search for Holly is still a search and rescue effort, Helm said, "We don’t have information indicating she is either alive or dead.”

A confession?  A Body?

May 12th - Family Spokesperson Kevin Bromley - One Piece of the Puzzle

Investigators Close To Cracking Holly Bobo Case
Woman Missing From Parsons For 1 Month
POSTED: 5:26 pm CDT May 12, 2011
UPDATED: 6:58 pm CDT May 12, 2011

Dana and Karen Bobo have not spoken publicly about their daughter's disappearance since one month ago, when Karen Bobo could hardly stand because of grief.

They are still not stable enough to speak, so a close family friend spoke to Channel 4 News on their behalf.

"Emotionally, it's tough on them," said Kevin Bromley. "You go looking around their home, and you see Holly's picture when she graduated kindergarten, eighth grade and high school, and it just breaks your heart."

Holly Bobo was last seen with a man dressed in camouflage in the woods outside the family's home. Blood was found outside, and Bobo's lunch box was found miles away.

Investigators said each new day brings many new leads and sometimes new information. While they're still not naming suspects, they said they are getting closer.

"They're needing one piece of the puzzle," said Bromley. "Someone knows something, and when they find that, I believe we will find Holly."
