Defense motions to backstrike #1251, female.

State objects, based on gender.

Defense offers gender-neutral objection. Says she has grandchildren of young age; cannot consider mercy or age.

State objects, other PJ's have young grandchildren as well.

Court permits the challenge.

#1251 is struck.

Down to 11 PJ's again.

This is never going to start this week.
there are 23 PJ left.
Why is JP letting them have lunch?
They practically had the entire morning off.

Casey Anthony trial: Family is trademarking 'Justice for Caylee'
George and Cindy Anthony are trade-marking their granddaughter's name so people won't be able to use or sell items in her likeness.

George and Cindy Anthony are trademarking their granddaughter's name, as well as "Justice for Caylee," so people won't be able use or sell items with the toddler's likeness, their lawyer told the Orlando Sentinel today.

Caylee Marie Anthony's picture has appeared on fliers, T-shirts and other items ever since the 2-year-old was reported missing in the summer of 2008.

The toddler's remains were found in woods near her family's east Orange County home in December of that year, and her mother, Casey Anthony, has been charged with first-degree murder in her death.

Nearly three years after Caylee and Casey Anthony became national news, websites continue to sell clothes, bumper stickers and other merchandise depicting the mother and daughter.

I believe Bozo is going to keep striking to keep it at 11.  He does not care that the jurors are sitting waiting in a room where they cannot talk to each other, cannot watch television, etc., and they want these folks to do this willingly.  I swear I would hate her if I were them.

He wants to hear out the remaining 23 or 27 jurors to make sure he is not missing a good one.

i agree, now that the defense has farmville lady on, they have new confidence in their step and are willing to chance whatever else to see if they can get another in favor of them.  there's no way this trial is starting before monday and there's also no way that casey will take any plea deal now.  unfortunately the defense is "winning" at this jury selection "gamesmanship"

Hey Monkeys!

I've been listening at work.

I don't think JP should have allowed that last strike. She would have made a good juror.

At this rate, the beginning of trial is going to be really delayed.

I am going to go nap.  Hopefully, when I get up, this will all be a memory and a jury will have been seated, LOL, wishful thinking.

The hobag is loving it though.  More time to sit and be a queen.

I fear that CJBP rushing with jury selection, is going to come back to bite.  I really don't understand his logic here at all. It sounds as if we will have only 1 or 2 alternates at best if it goes his way.    That is not enough people for a lengthy trial away from home.  moo

did I understand JP to say they will only question 6 of the remaining 20 some PJs?
I think the prosecution was very surprised by this new information.
I bet the attys were all thinking they had many more to choose from.
I am lost.
