Good Morning monkeys, well I guess that answers my question.  The pj that was so sure she couldn't judge anyone and could barely understand any of the questions, is not going to be back-struck because of the color of her skin.  This is so wrong to me, I definitely see her has the hold out jury, trying to find a reason not to judge poor lil young mixed up KC.  I guess it is the Batson (sp) reason, not to use a pre-emptory challenge on race or gender but apparently it only applies to non-Caucasian races.  If this is not going back-wards, I don't know what is.  I sure hope she can understand the evidence and find justice for Caylee.  There was a lot more reasons to strike her, not one was the color of her skin.

Hugs, Magic
Thx Magic!  That's the PJ I was wondering about.  I can't believe they are keeping her.

#3206, female, has followed this case closely. Thinks she is guilty. Doesn't think she can put that aside.

Dismissed.

Sorry Caylee, the jury took your day away.

I take offense to the cause JBP just stated, not being able to be fair and impartial.  Why is it unfair or partial to think she is guilty?  I believe she is guilty.  I believe this woman is proably fair in her every day life and impairtal, but this hoebag is clearly guilty.

I don't know how to bring a post over from the old thread, but would like to thank NIKKI for bringing up Chiari and so glad her daughter is doing well.

That being said, I had an MRI of the Cspine years ago and found out I have Chiari I malformation. Would have never known, if not for the MRI. Just spoke to a radiologist I work for and asked if that could cause someone to murder their baby, he looked at me like WTF??? NO WAY he said would it cause a person to do that. So that is not a mitigating factor, sorry defence. Find something else for a mitigating factor.

I guess I don't have to sleep with one eye open then.

It is because the fundamental right in this country is to have a jury that starts with no opinion and listens to the evidence presented then makes a decision. If you go in with an opinion you can not put aside, it is unfair.

That is not the issue, which is....can you set aside your feelings/beliefs and see Casey as innocent unless the evidence presented in court says otherwise. I couldn't do it.

DON'T tell me they don't have any PJ's to question!!! HELLO!!! Why don't they have pj's in there this morning - the judge knew the attorneys were going to make a bunch of back strikes.  He doesn't even have 12 to swear in yet.

GET A MOVE ON!!!

It still does not make it right to state that a PJ is fair and partial, because she/he thinks she is guilty.  And, I do not personally believe that any of the PJs have no opinion.  Just the facts read to them by JBP alone have to give them some opinion.  I would be a lousy juror or lawyer or judge.  I guess, the law requires no common sense.

No, just 2. Both were dismissed for cause.

The backstrikes did begin, and each side used 3.

So we are down to 11 PJ's and Perry cannot swear them in until he has 12.

Will we ever see Bolin in court again or is she just a behind the scene player now?  Anyone know?

I could not either, but if I wanted on this jury bad enough, I would say I could, just like I bet half the jurors did.

agree...but we want her to be found guilty cause she is...and she will be...

how can she be sitting there so animated in conversation with that other person while yet another person just said that they think that she is guilty of killing her baby??? she is the weirdest person that I have ever seen...No tears today..She acts like she is wondering what clothes she should buy tomorrow..
What was Finnell just showing Casey?
Casey is shaking her head like, how can these people be so dumb as to think that I am guilty? She is cracking up in laughter...weird weird weird

Backstrikes this morning so far:

Defense: #1129, #1232, #1119

State: #(called PJ by name, did not get Juror #), #1407, #1426

Leaves each side 5 challenges

Leaves 11 PJ's. Perry cannot swear in jurors until he has 12.

Do we know which ones these are?  Is the one who is against the DP gone?
