I take offense to the cause JBP just stated, not being able to be fair and impartial.  Why is it unfair or partial to think she is guilty?  I believe she is guilty.  I believe this woman is proably fair in her every day life and impairtal, but this hoebag is clearly guilty.
That is not the issue, which is....can you set aside your feelings/beliefs and see Casey as innocent unless the evidence presented in court says otherwise. I couldn't do it.

I could not either, but if I wanted on this jury bad enough, I would say I could, just like I bet half the jurors did.
I agree, but that will always be the case with a high profile case.  They are Casey's peers......she should think about that and be very skeered!

I don't know how to bring a post over from the old thread, but would like to thank NIKKI for bringing up Chiari and so glad her daughter is doing well.

That being said, I had an MRI of the Cspine years ago and found out I have Chiari I malformation. Would have never known, if not for the MRI. Just spoke to a radiologist I work for and asked if that could cause someone to murder their baby, he looked at me like WTF??? NO WAY he said would it cause a person to do that. So that is not a mitigating factor, sorry defence. Find something else for a mitigating factor.

JSM...you have Chiari too? see, I was saying this last night..it is more common than folks know..most of us have the Chiari found when looking for other things and it shows up..such as headache causes in my case, especially when I cough hard, and some other things..

My niece had it.  Both parents are in medical field and it still wasn't caught until she was in college.  Blessings to you all who suffer.

Bobo is not there so they can not make any decisions?  Is this a stall tactic?

Sounds like contempt of court, to me.

How many times will she smooth her stupid shirt today and why does the guard give her that much time to organize her crap and clean up before making her leave, like all inmates have to do?

I think JP wants a jury today and will press to get it. Then the trial will start on Thursday.  ::justice2NJ::

Day 8 Of Jury Selection Could Be Turning Point In Casey Trial
Posted: 6:13 am EDT May 17, 2011Updated: 9:10 am EDT May 17, 2011

 ::snipping2::
The defense and the prosecution both struck down potential jurors, leaving only 11 jurors. Chief Judge Belvin Perry said that he could not swear in less than 12 jurors, so they would have to bring in more people to talk to on Tuesday.

The first potential juror called in on Tuesday brought a note to the judge from her employer. The note said that it would be difficult for the woman to be gone from her position for a long period of time. The judge excused her for cause.

The second potential juror questioned said she has had the opinion that Casey is guilty for a while now. The judge excused her for cause that she could not be fair and impartial.

Perry said if he can't get 20 jurors picked, he may settle for having fewer alternates.

Join the club, but I also want to yank that mop of hair off of her head, and some other not very nice things.
