For those reading later, this juror was asked by Jar, "Do you believe that where there is smoke there is fire?" She hesitated and said, "sometimes." Jar asked "In this case?" PJ responded, "There's something going on.... that's what we're here for...... to find out who did this to the little girl." Jar asked, "Did what, what do you think happened?" and it went downhill from there.

Above is paraphrased!

PJ is asked to go home while defense discusses this PJ with KC.

They need to explain to her that if they do not strike this juror or another one, the potential exists ( if indeed the other 11 are still there) they will be sworn right now, and they lose any oppty to strike any of them.

Finishing a Piece on this now.  I am not thrilled for the first time with my mancrush Perry, this was an error, imo.

Ohhh Blink, can't wait to read your piece, this has been bothering me to the point of tears at times.  It has me so worried.  This is the first time that I have second guessed Judge Perry too.  I definitely think that not excusing this juror could have huge implications.  My heart is broken over it.  I hope your piece helps me understand how this could happen and if there is anything that can be done about it.  I love the way you write and love listening to you on Scared Monkeys Radio.

I think Jar was trying to get an excuse for cause out of her for that very reason.
