So Blink I s this accurate..JP gets x number of jurors/alternates and they go to Orlando.  All hear the trial..and the jury of 12 is not assigned until the time comes to give their determination of guilt?

GDD, I am not Blink, but the 12 jurors are picked first and sworn in, then the alternates are chosen and sworn in. The alternates sit in and hear/see everything the original 12 do, in case they are needed they are up to speed and can step right in. But unless an alternate has replaced one of the original 12 jurors they are not part of the deliberation process.

Hi Sunny---That's what I thought too since Judge Perry keeps talking about swearing in the twelve and then choosing the alternates, giving each side, the defense and the prosecution one strike each during the alternate selection.  I have heard of the method of choosing say, 20, and then determining who is an alternate at the beginning of deliberations. There was a trial, I think in CA, where an alternate replaced a juror during deliberations and the deliberations had to begin again with the new juror.  IMO if anything can go wrong in this case, it will.

Just so I don't have to find the discussion about Geraldo Rivera because I'm lazy, I think he is a male chauvinist pig and a womanizer, not to mention a misogynist.  If Casey were a homely girl, he wouldn't waste his time on this.  But since he thinks she is pretty, he's all gung-ho.  He's an idiot.

maybe Geraldo is hoping that Casey will get out of jail so he can be his 5th or 6th wife...

The asswipe Geraldo posted this:  I can't post a link because it would link to my FB account and I do not care to give out the link to my FB account....but if you are on FB just do a search and ....uhhhhhhhhhhggggggggggggg like him and you can reply.  I did.  MODS if this is not acceptable without a link...please delete..you will not hurt my feelings

Geraldo Rivera
There is something blood-thirsty regarding the prosecutor trying to kill Casey Anthony-Between 3 & 5 kids a day are killed by their parents. Child murder is horrifying-but 3 to 5 are killed by parent's daily-think if states sought the death penalty in all those cases?! Picture the nation's death rows filled with mothers! That currently... doesn’t happen because courts understand the malignant psychological underpinnings of child murders. So why kill Casey? Not to remember Caylee- but to get cheesy political brownie points from Pretty Women Police. Reminds me of the lack of sympathy for Amanda Knox! Want big cable ratings, bash the attractive defendant. In other words, Casey & Amanda both had a headstart in life. So selfish heartless bitches must be guilty! -Geraldo

http://www.facebook.com/GeraldoRivera?sk=wall

Im tempted but I dont even want to lower myself by liking his page to tell him what I think but I have one thing to say to this sensationalist scum....how would you feel differently if it was one of his children, I bet with a vengeance & not necessarily only because he was so bereaved but it would make good ratings, "Geraldo wants ?'s head."   How dare he minimize Caylee's life by minimizing her killer's heinous crime, its even lower than I thought even he could go.   Does he not get it?   All too often its a child's own parent that brutally murders them, did it occur to him that it makes it even MORE heinous!   Maybe he should ask all those specialists out there in the woods just how horrific it was to take days to find this beautiful baby girl's bones!  Trust me, the State doesnt give a rat's @$$ what this joke of a man thinks, his low ratings won't persuade many either.   Just in case you're reading for your buddy in Orlando Whoraldo, kiss off!
Don't worry monkeys, here in the Sunshine state we have alligaotrs and sharks...Hey Whoraldo come on down!

I think that is their method of operation any time they can get by with it. Most educated people would know better. I think before I set up a stand selling things, I would check out the laws pertaining to the merchandise. I think I will go there and sell T Shirts which say

The state used a challenge on her?
Why?
Because the duhfense liked her?

Probably because she was only 4-5 on a scale of 1-10 for the DP.

That's what I said

Yes, I remember that whole debacle, but was not sure if it was a sex offense or not.  My memory is not what it once was.

We have 11 and possibly 12.  They will try to get 12 before 1 then at 1:30 start interviewing for the alternative.
