Judge Plans To Swear In Casey Jury On Friday

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. -- A jury may finally be sworn in on Friday for Casey Anthony's murder trial. However, it may not be the jury that her defense team was hoping for.

WFTV's legal experts say the defense made a big mistake. It asked to question all potential jurors and Thursday's possibilities are worse than the seated jurors. Now, the defense has only one challenge left.

I finally found the video clip for the part where LDB tells JP that she may have an issue with one of the pj's.  It sounds like one of them has a prior felony convictions and they will find out more tommorrow.  Sounds like it is in this last batch though.  So I don't think it will be Farmville lady.  I am still hoping she gets removed.

Somewhat OT, but Florida's female death row population increased by 50% today.  Margaret Allen of Titusville, FL, was sentenced to death in Brevard County for torturing and murdering her friend/housekeeper over some missing money.  She joins only two other women currently on Florida's death row. http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20110519/BREAKINGNEWS/110519008/Killer-Margaret-Allen-gets-death-penalty?odyssey=tab

I also noticed that the other two women currently on death row are both under 30.  So much for Casey's age being a mitigating factor in sentencing!

My thoughts are in the parentheses and JMO while watching NG. Proof that it's so much easier to just tell the truth:

Point just made on NG about how the prosecution's case looks tighter and is running much more smoothly (possibly because working toward exposing the truth, they have a united cause) than the defense's case where Casey and Jose Baez having a visible spat (possibly because they are disagreeing on how to lie).  Correspondant on NG just said these united/divided fronts will make a huge difference in the jury's decisions for the trial. NICE!

What is striking to me is in watching Casey's face there is zero emotion when the PJ is talking about finding Caylee's body.

It was surreal and I got up way before 5:30am to see what was gonna happen.  Nothing happened, it was never mentioned and everything just went on as usual.  All of that craziness because Baez had to draw attention to himself.  Remind you of anyone?  An attorney telling national media, to not speculate was just beyond the pale.  He seemed to get away with it.  How he could stop an infamous 1st degree murder trial? He must of told JP something but he is saving it for his book.
