It was the only chance they had and although it is explosive for a jury, it won't keep her from being found guilty.

Not to defend KC, but it does happen.  But if it happens to you, you get away from the perpetrator as soon as you can and you NEVER let the perp have access to your child. 

Not as a rule...you stay.  And you survive, and you hold that information in your pocket until you need it.  Sadly, many teens bring out the abuse after they have gotten into trouble, thus, making the system and the public think they are trouble making teens trying to get out of trouble by making the allegations.   

That is one of the reasons we need to ONLY have the best trained investigate these allegations.

And for whatever reason,  many victims leave their children in the care of the abusers.  One of their "fantasy thinking" is that since they were abused, they will recognize if their child is being abused.  That is one of the reasons mothers refused to beleive their children are being molested....they think they would know.
