Casey Anthony began crying as a prosecutor gave her opening statements this morning in her first-degree murder trial.

The trial began promptly as jurors filed into the courtroom a few minutes after 9 a.m., almost three years after her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, disappeared.

Anthony, who is charged in the death, wiped away tears as prosecutor Linda Drane-Burdick began describing the last day that Caylee was seen by her grandparents.

The prosecutor described Casey Anthony's appearance as a hardworking single mother as an illusion

A lot of what KC was shaking her head "no" at, was cell phone records pinpointing locations, etc. That denial in body language just makes her look even more guilty, IMO. Records are records and will stand up.

No wonder Casey hates her mother- Cindy continued to badger her of Caylee's whereabouts.

Up to this point, the state is presenting George and Cindy in a good light.

Maybe I am misunderstanding yuor post, but Cindy had every right to badger her of Caylee's whereabouts. IMO.

Note to Casey-  Your only hope is a plea. You're not that good of a liar and your team of spin doctors can't help you spin your way out of this hole you've dug. A plea is the only way you're going to be a Survivor.  No offense, but you lack the charisma to pull this off. JMO

The judge should of let her finish, they must be able to go longer than an hour sitting, I have.  The site that CC gave about opening statements, said that they really don't want to be interrupted and Linda was certainly on a roll.  I did see parts left out, maybe she has to be careful not to introduce certain evidence during opening statements.  I wanted to hear more about the fight the night that Cindy took Caylee to the nursing home.  I think that was the start of it all.  Maybe because it is only hearsay on the part of Jesse Grund and Lee Anthony.  I don't think Cindy had ever admitted to it.  Will we ever see the visual presentation from the state?

I could not look away from watching Linda to post.  What a wench KC is.  Hearing all these details all at the same time is going to be very hard for the jurors to ignore.

Do you think she is suffering?  I think she's just still too angry.  This is still her being the victim of all these people lying and picking on her.  I want the suffering too, but I don't think she's hit it yet.

According to In Sessions the jury have their note pads and not taking notes ... they are rivoted to Linda's opening statement. She has told a compelling and brilliant chronilogical pattern of events and every time stopping to ask ... "Where's Caylee".

The State is doing a great job of humanizing Caylee and bring caylee front and center into that court room.

Let's see the defense try and make jokes now like they did in jury selection.

On trutv they are talking about the state painting Cindy as a Saint.  That is really funny cause that will drive Casey nuts!!! Also, it preempts the defenses argument that they were abusers.
