Am guessing the reason Baez allowed Casey to continue to shake her head no during Linda's opening statement... is because Casey then nodded her head yes several times during Baez's opening statement. 

As if... what?  The jurors are looking to Casey for her confirmation of the truth?

I'm watching my DVRd copy of today's OS and I just cringed with embarrassment for George when Jose said that bit about "he started coming into her room when she was 8...and it escalated...and it escalated". While he says this, ICA sobs into a tissue.  It all seems so fake to me, she's obviously crying because she feels like the POS she is by throwing George under the bus. MOO.

If, after today, George and Cindy still try to cover up for the slunt they deserve what they get.  I admit that I was surprised at George.  I thought he might plead the 5th  to create reasonable doubt.  Lee and Cindy still worry me.  I hope they decide that it is time for the truth.

watching the part right now where Jose throws Lee/George under the bus about getting tested to see if he;s the father and when asked about it he said "We'll talk about it when the time is right."  That was George's statement right, not Lee's? 

I felt that Casey didn't want to throw Lee under the bus as completely as she did George and I saw her eyes look to the side like she wanted to melt into the floor when that was said by Jose.  Jose then follows it up with "She was taught to lie" and the whole "penis in her mouth"  , it all sounds so contrived so freaking FAKE.  It's hard to watch this. I think it's bad to hate, but man I am hating Jose right now. Jose is stuttering through the lies too, has anyone noticed that?  His speech flows when he's telling the truth, but when he lies he stutters, methinks.

This call is very telling.  It sounds like cindy is not the boss casey is...It's casey to tells ppl what to do, not vis versa.....jmo

One thing about GA's testimony that struck me was when he said the last time he saw Caylee, she said they were going to see Zanny, and was excited about it. If this isn't a lie (which it may be in order to help Casey) then this is damning to the defense. My reasoning is that according to both GA and CA prior testimony, Caylee never mentioned Zanny, at least not before. If Casey had finally drilled the name Zanny into Caylees mind and conversation on the last day of her life, she fully intended the child never to return. She was setting up her Zanny alibi for Caylee's disappearance (oh, she's with the nanny), and she was going to kill Caylee who would never be able to answer any questions about her visit with someone named Zanny.

See I disagree.  I think Casey had started using the name Zanny in front of Caylee so Caylee would repeat the name.  I think Caylee may have very well said it.  IMO, Casey is a sociopathic liar.  She may have told Caylee that Annie's name was Zanny.

Very good observation!  I wonder if it's true or just sort of adlibbing on George's part because it's easy to remember the mood of the day when he last saw Caylee, but I would think it'd be harder to remember the exact words, so maybe he is kinda making it up subconsciously?   does that make sense? I'm not saying that's what happened, but it could account for a change in George's story...lots of time has passed..

also Did George really have an affair with Crystal Holloway (sounds like a soap opera character name!)? what do you monkeys think about that accusation???

One other thing that is bothering me and has since Linda began this morning.  Let me preface this by saying, I still say she did an amazing job this morning and she wants justice for Caylee as much as we do and for all of the right reasons.  I don't think she or the state of the LE rushed to judgment at all.  I think they dotted every i and crossed every t.  The problem I had with her opening statement was her lack of visuals.  The defense had visual after visual along with Baez's stupid white board and markers.  Where were the pictures of Caylee?  I know someone tweeted that they showed one picture of Caylee along side of a picture of her precious remains.  Why not have picture after picture of her?  Why not have the time line and the party pictures up front and personal for all of the jurors.  I just don't understand why it was all spoken word, no matter how well it was done.  They knew that the defense was going to go after Dr. Vass, why didn't they let the jury know what an amazing man he was?  I know that hindsight is 20/20 but could they really not see Baez having a Perry Mason moment?  I have been afraid of it for a long time.  How does the saying go, "when you have the law on your side, use the law but when you have nothing, use everything?"  That is exactly what Baez did and now the state has to live every accusation Baez threw out there. 

Where did he come up with the Dr. Vass finding bodies with coat hangers?  I have yet to read or hear of that anywhere.

If opening statements were meant to be no holds barred, why did Linda not use the same tactics?  Don't mean to sound harsh to Linda, just feeling very afraid at the moment.  I am never watching JVM again.  I usually stick to that rule but so many others were watching her, I gave in and did it too.  I have learned my lesson.
