State will call more witnesses in the Casey Anthony trial.

The second day of testimony in the Casey Anthony trial at the Orange County Courthouse is expected to begin at 9 a.m.

The state likely will continue calling witnesses in its case against the 25-year-old woman accused of killing her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony in the summer of 2008. The child was reported missing 31 days after she was last seen alive.

The trial began Tuesday with nearly four hours of opening statements – split almost evenly between Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick and defense attorney José Baez.

During openings, Burdick stated that duct tape was responsible for the child's death. That was the first time anyone involved in the case confirmed a murder weapon.

In court Tuesday, the defense said Casey made a grave mistake by not reporting her missing, but she did not kill her daughter.

In fact, Baez claimed Casey was sexually abused by her father George Anthony, which led to a culture of lying to authorities in the Anthony family.

George denied the allegations.

Day 2 of the Case against Casey Anthony continues today on the 23rd floor of the Orange County courthouse.
The jury is being sequestered in an undisclosed location for at least 6-8 weeks.

Good morning monkeys! So glad that the trial has finally begun. I just can't believe what I heard yesterday. If all those things were true, it makes no sense that they would not have said all that in the first place. Of course, anyone with common sense knows none of it is true. It took three years for KC to come up with all that BS and she is willing to throw everyone under the  bus to save herself from doing the unthinkable. Guess she is willing to take the stand to state all these things under oath? Do you monkeys think she has the "guts" to actually state what JB said on the stand, under oath? Then yet, I don't think she would worry about whether or not she lies under oath. I expect today to be another interesting day!!

Casey, the person we've come to know only thinks of herself.  She could of been out of jail 2 years ago and this would of been all over, done, finished.
