ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The trunk of Casey Anthony’s Pontiac Sunfire has been carefully inspected by a team of expert witnesses. They also combed over a bag of trash, loaded with tiny little bugs called coffin flies, empty soda cans, a dirty pizza box and broken hangers.

Casey Anthony’s defense team arrived just after 9 a.m. on Wednesday and left just three and a half hours later around 12:30 in the afternoon.
Anthony attorneys Jose Baez and Cheney mason spent a second morning at the orange county sheriff’s office with the five forensic experts.

Still, not one of them would tell us exactly what they are focusing on, which could include any number of articles documented in hundreds upon hundreds of files -- possible evidence in the murder of Caylee Anthony.

“We collected from the list and property sheets what we felt was important to both the states case and ours,” said Baez.
On Wednesday, the team concentrated on evidence which deputies collected from the Pontiac Sunfire. The lead detective on the case said it smelled like there had been a dead body in the trunk.

Investigators tested several stains in the trunk for proof. They also tested the bag of garbage.

Discovery documents released by prosecutors revealed the state's entomologist found "coffin flies" in the vehicle, which breed in human corpses.

Before Wednesday’s visit by defense experts, Baez and dr. Henry lee were the only two team members to have inspected the Pontiac. Now, DNA experts from Europe, as well as an entomologist have had an opportunity to look at the evidence.

“Anytime you get a chance to inspect something you’ve never seen before, only in photographs, it’s a completely different way of looking at things,” said Baez. “Sometimes you pick up on things that are missed and lost sometimes. It’s a lot clearer.”

In other developments, lawyers will grill Casey Anthony’s big brother, lee, and her mother, Cindy, on Thursday. They will focus on a 911 call that started the search for little Caylee.

“There's something wrong. I found my daughter's car today, and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car,” Cindy Anthony is heard telling a 911 operator during a phone call placed in July of 2008.

Cindy later said that the odor could have been from rotting pizza. Lawyers for the state want Cindy to clarify herself again. They contend that her statement was an excited utterance and should be admissible in court. The defense wants the entire 911 call tossed out, saying it amounts to hearsay and not fact.
This will also be the first time since October of 2008 -- when Casey was arrested -- that George, Cindy, Lee and Casey will be in the same room. Cindy will be face-to-face with her own daughter as she is testifying, answering questions from the state and the defense.

“Like anyone that's going to testify in a courtroom, she’s a little bit nervous about that,” said Cindy Anthony’s attorney Brad Conway, “but you’ve got to remember she has already given a deposition, has talked about this on numerous occasions with numerous people, so she’s ready to go in and tell the truth tomorrow.”

After Cindy Anthony testifies in court, the judge is expected to make a decision on the admissibility of the 911 recordings and should rule on Thursday.

Anthony's murder trial is set to begin on May 9, 2011. She remains jailed on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of her daughter Caylee who was last seen in June of 2008, but she was not reported missing until a month later. Her remains were found in woods near the family's home on December 11, 2008. Investigators say the toddler's body was found with duct tape over her mouth.

Wow.  Reading through the whole document The Jar has an interesting attitude.  I applaud MN for leaving his own office so as not to cause friction but it seems that the Jar was going to get his tantrum one way or the other.  Almost makes Bobo look to be the most stable out of Team Bobo ( I can not believe I just typed that)

Casey Anthony team files last minute opposition to 911 calls

On the eve of a major hearing in the Casey Anthony murder case, the defense team filed a last-minute memo today arguing against using at trial 911 calls Cindy Anthony made two years ago.

Prosecutors have argued that two of the 911 calls should be admitted. In the third call, Casey Anthony's mother, Cindy, describes the odor in her daughter's car as smelling like a dead body.

The series of calls on July 15, 2008, represents the first time law enforcement became aware of the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony. Casey Anthony, 24, is charged with first degree murder in her 2-year-old daughter's death. Caylee's remains were found in late 2008, months after she was reported missing.

Usually such 911 calls are considered hearsay and can only be admitted with certain legal exceptions. The prosecution argues, in part, that Cindy Anthony's calls amount to "excited utterances," which should be admitted because such statements are not contrived.

Prosecutors say they want the calls admitted because they show a progression of "fabrications" Casey Anthony concocted about her daughter's disappearance upon learning that her mother was getting law enforcement involved.
But today, Casey Anthony's defense team said Cindy Anthony's statements in the third 911 call "were purposely contrived by Cindy Anthony in order to get law enforcement to her home," an assertion that counters the "excited utterance" argument.

Cindy Anthony has said on national television that she mentioned the smell to get authorities to come to her home faster.

The defense team of Cheney Mason and Jose Baez also argued today that Cindy Anthony's comment about the odor amounts to an opinion by a "lay witness," an opinion that could mislead a jury or prejudice the defendant.

"There is no predicate, nor ability to have a predicate, that Cynthia Anthony ever smelled a decomposing body or had any basis, therefore, to state a lay opinion," according to the memo. "Speculation such as this is not permissible. The prejudice is clear."

Citing the failure of the state to meet legal thresholds, the defense concluded, "statements related to smell or odor clearly must be prohibited."

The 911 calls are expected to be a major part of hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday before Chief Circuit Judge Belvin Perry. The hearing comes immediately after the defense team and its high-profile experts spent two days inspecting evidence collected in the case.

Another issue being taken up Thursday involves reconsideration of earlier rulings in the case made by Circuit Judge Stan Strickland regarding Texas EquuSearch, whose volunteers were involved in early searches for the child.

The earlier rulings concerned the release of information about volunteers who searched an area near where Caylee's remains were discovered much later in the case.

Texas EquuSearch attorney Mark NeJame argues in a 14-page motion also filed today that the earlier rulings should be upheld. NeJame also cites several "unprofessional comments" made by Mason in dealings with his office. NeJame said he intends to address those comments in court.

How did the Casey Anthony defense team’s examination of evidence go?

“Jose Baez said their inspection has gone ’smooth and professionally,’ ” WESH-Ch. 2’s Bob Kealing reported tonight.

Baez said things had been very professional, said Jacqueline Fell of Central Florida News 13.

But there was a tense moment with WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich, whose questioning yesterday caused defense attorney Cheney Mason to lash out at her.

“We ruffled feathers again today,” Belich said tonight. This time, Belich quizzed Baez about whether he would ask taxpayers to pay the travel expenses of two experts from the Netherlands.

“You and your taxpayer nonsense,” Baez shot back. But Belich added that Baez later said he wouldn’t ask taxpayers to foot that bill. 

The defense has fought the release of the list of items that its experts examined yesterday and today at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. But defense attorney Cheney Mason told Kealing that issue may be moot by a hearing tomorrow.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

The defense team arrived at 9 a.m. today and left — “to our surprise” — at 12:30, WOFL-Ch. 35’s Holly Bristow reported. The defense experts concentrated on items deputies collected from Anthony’s car, Bristow reported.
What’s next? ”We’re allowed to test items, and in all likelihood, that’s what’s going to happen in this case,” Baez told reporters.

WFTV-Ch. 9’s Belich put it this way: ”Baez claims that his team of experts found some discoveries of interest here over the last couple of days and, because of that, he expects to ask Chief Judge Belvin Perry if he can do his own testing on the evidence. Now that’s not an unusual defense request, except  in this case taxpayers would pay for it.” 

Baez told Belich that he didn’t know how many tests he would request and that he would consult with his experts.

If the defense found something to help Anthony’s case, it would have to alert the state so the prosecution could analyze the results before trial, Belich said. “We’ll also find out if the defense is pulling just another Todd Macaluso move,” Belich said, referring to the former defense attorney who said there was evidence someone other than Anthony placed the toddler’s body in the woods. “That evidence never materialized,” Belich said.

On WESH, defense attorney Jeff Deen analyzed the inspection process and said it was important that the defense team not give away anything during the two-day examination.

WKMG-Ch. 6’s Mike DeForest previewed the hearing Thursday, when Cindy Anthony will testify about 911 calls she made two years ago that set the case in motion.

Brad Conway, Cindy’s attorney, told DeForest that she will “answer the questions truthfully and calmly. Cindy Anthony will acknowledge in court tomorrow that she was very frantic when she called 911 … even though that admission could ultimately hurt her daughter.”

WESH’s Kealing reported that George Anthony, Casey’s father, is expected to be at the courthouse Thursday. Cindy and son Lee Anthony have been subpoenaed to testify.

JP is going to LOVE this last minute filing.  Wahoo! Things could start out with a bang and get better from there tomorrow.  Does this last minute filing go against the rules he expected to be followed in his court  that JP laid down when he took over?

IMO Cindy Anthony has done nothing calmly in her life.  She is a hysterical person by nature.  I don't think she can help it.  And then there's the gum.  OMG I hope she shows up chomping on a big wad of gum and JP makes her remove it.  Will she be embarrassed? Nah.  She's incapable of being embarrassed.  In the world of idiotic behaviour, she's a carrier.

Whoever said that Baez was the smarter of the two--he and Mason--is correct.  God help us, Baez is the "brains" of the defense and he's a dolt.

Caylee's family to square off in court on anniversary

Orlando, Florida (CNN) -- Slain toddler Caylee Anthony's family will be stepping back in time in a Florida courtroom on Thursday, two years to the day after she was reported missing.

At issue at a pretrial hearing in her mother's murder case: the frantic 911 calls that Caylee's grandmother made when she learned that the 2-year-old had been missing for a month.

Cindy Anthony has been subpoenaed to testify at the hearing, which could determine whether the 911 calls she made July 15, 2008, will be played to the jury at the murder trial of her daughter, Casey.

Casey Anthony, 24, is accused of capital murder in Caylee's death and has pleaded not guilty.

The child's skeletal remains, including duct tape on the skull, were found that December in a vacant wooded lot near her grandparents' home in Orlando, Florida.

The trial is scheduled for next year.

Casey Anthony's brother, Lee, also has been subpoenaed. If Cindy and Lee Anthony testify, it will be the first time anyone from the family has taken the witness stand in Casey Anthony's murder case.

Prosecutors have said in court papers that they plan to use Cindy Anthony's first and third phone calls at the trial. The state has said it does not plan to use the second call because Casey was not present for it.

The first call was placed at 8:08 p.m. and the third at 9:41 p.m. Cindy and Lee Anthony may be asked to testify Thursday about the circumstances under which the 911 calls were made.

The family had not seen Casey or Caylee Anthony for a month. Cindy Anthony searched for her daughter on July 15 and found Casey with a boyfriend. Cindy Anthony confronted her about Caylee. According to court documents, Cindy Anthony had hoped to force her daughter to reveal where Caylee was by threatening to call the police.

The first call was placed at 8:08 p.m., according to court documents. Prosecutors say during that family confrontation, Casey Anthony acknowledged to her mother and brother that she had not seen the child for 31 days and that the Caylee was with the babysitter.

Cindy Anthony made the third 911 call at 9:41 p.m. "I found out my granddaughter has been taken," she told the dispatcher.

"She has been missing for a month. Her mother finally admitted that she's been missing. ... We're talking about a 3-year-old little girl! "I need to find her," she continued. "There's something wrong. I found my daughter's car today, and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car."

Cindy Anthony has said she believed the odor came from a rotting pizza or other garbage in the trunk. But the state says a sophisticated forensic test shows the components found in the air are consistent with a decomposing body.

Prosecutors say in their court papers that they intend to use the 911 calls to prove a "progression" of Casey Anthony's "fabrications" about what happened to her daughter. That progression led her to come up with the nanny story, they contend.

Anthony's defense says the calls are prejudicial, contain false statements and should not be played to the jury.

Cindy Anthony falsely reported that her daughter had stolen the car, but prosecutors say they don't want to offer the 911 calls for their truth of what was said.

Instead, they intend to show Casey Anthony's "responses" and "the circumstances in which the defendant 'created' the kidnapping story." Prosecutors contend that the "fabrications" show "consciousness of guilt."

I couldn't sleep any longer.  I'm running like a maniac to get everything done so I can be up front and personal at the computer at 2 pm.  So I hear George is going to attend.  I wonder if it's to support Lee or because he's scared of Cindy.  (I just saw her referred to as "Cinbad".  Giggle.) 
Mark Nejame's elegant response to Mason's boorish behavior is a classic.  I grew up in the south, and I've always been suspicious of the ol' Moonshine's psuedo "good ol' boy" facade.  He's just mean mouthed and trashy.  I so hope Judge Perry wipes up the floor with him and slaps Cindy into next week.
I am so anxious for 2 o'clock.  (One of the best things about a hearing like this is to see all the monkeys swing in and comment.  Can't wait to see you all!)

The judge in the case against Casey Anthony could make a ruling on a major issue Thursday: The frantic 911 calls Casey’s mother made in 2008.

Cindy Anthony, along with Casey’s brother, Lee Anthony, and Casey, herself, are expected in an Orange County courtroom for Thursday’s hearing, scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Casey’s defense team filed a last-minute memorandum with the court late Wednesday night, arguing the 911 calls Cindy made after learning Casey’s 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, had been missing for weeks, should not be admissible during trial.

Prosecutors have claimed the calls show a progression of fabrication by Casey Anthony, but the defense argued the statements Cindy made -- specifically in the final of three calls, when she reported Caylee missing -- were just her attempt to get law enforcement to respond faster.

In one of the 911 calls, Cindy told the dispatcher:

    I found my daughter’s car today, and it smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car.

Judge Belvin Perry is also expected to consider earlier rulings in the case involving Texas Equusearch, the group that helped look for Caylee’s body.

Casey’s lawyers have been asking for more detailed information on the volunteers involved in that search.
Thursday’s hearing comes during an already busy week for the defense team, which wrapped up two days of examining evidence in the case Wednesday, and will argue to keep that evidence private.

Cindy Anthony and her son Lee Anthony may testify at a hearing where the state is expected to argue that 911 calls placed by Cindy Anthony in July 2008 should be admitted at her daughter's murder trial next year.

The defense says the taped phone calls are hearsay and should not be admitted.

The hearing comes two years after 2-year-old Caylee Anthony was reported missing on July 15, 2008. The suspect's family had not seen the toddler or her mother since June 16, 2008.

It was two years ago Thursday that Casey Anthony's mother first called 911 to report her granddaughter Caylee Anthony was missing.
My daughter finally admitted that the baby has been stolen," a frantic Cindy Anthony told the operator.

The calls, three in all, have become synonymous with the Casey Anthony saga. Whether they will ever be heard by jurors is the topic of a hearing Thursday afternoon.

"It's very important for the prosecution that the jurors hear the sense of urgency in Cindy Anthony's voice," said Channel 9 legal analyst Bill Shafer.

The defense says the calls amount to hearsay and should be barred from court. 

The prosecution wants to play parts of two of the 911 calls for jurors.  They've argued that the calls were "excited utterances" - an exemption to the hearsay rule.

Both Casey's mother and brother are expected to testify at the hearing.

Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony's mother, will testify at a hearing Thursday regarding a 911 call she made about her missing granddaughter, Caylee Anthony.

Also Thursday, Judge Belvin Perry will hear an objection by Anthony's defense to keep sealed any details about the evidence items they looked at.

Anthony defense attorney Cheney Mason said the team and their experts finished looking over evidence just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

"Without giving away details there are plenty of things that you see in person that you can't see in a photograph," Anthony defense attorney Jose Baez said.

On Tuesday, the team looked at dozens of items from the evidence sheet at the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Baez and Mason, along with insect expert Tim Huntington and forensics expert Henry Lee, were on hand again Wednesday to look through more evidence.
We'll all be together looking at it, so it's all going to be done controlled and orderly,” Mason said.

Baez said the process has gone well so far.

"Any time you get a chance to inspect something you have never seen before, obviously, only in photos, it's a completely different way of looking at things," Baez said.

Baez said that having their experts on hand also gives the defense team crucial insight into the evidence of the case.

"Under the rules of criminal procedure, we are allowed to test items so in all likelihood that is what's going to happen in this case."

The defense team had to wear gowns and gloves for the review.

Noticeably absent from the survey was defense counsel Linda Kinney Baden. Baden's out of town travel expenses are not picked up by taxpayers.

Lee Anthony, Anthony's brother, is also under subpoena.

Sources told WESH 2 that Thursday's hearing will be the first time the entire Anthony family should be in the courtroom since she was indicted in 2008.

Anthony is charged with murder in the death of daughter, Caylee.

Caylee's remains were found in a wooded area off Suburban Drive near the Anthony family home in December 2008.

Anthony, now 24, maintains that a nanny by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez kidnapped Caylee.

Anthony's trial is set to begin in May 2011.

Their disgusting behavior and all the obvious lies they have told are a big factor in demonstrating that Casey is guilty, and they have always known that.   You don't need to lie for an innocent person.  Cindy will be partly responsible if Casey gets the DP. It's obvious that none of that family has any remorse for what was done to Caylee.

On the eve of a major hearing in the Casey Anthony murder case, the defense team filed a last-minute memo Wednesday arguing against using at trial 911 calls her mother made two years ago.

That memo and 911 calls are expected to be a major part of hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. today before Chief Circuit Judge Belvin Perry.

Prosecutors have argued that two of the 911 calls should be admitted.

In the third call, Casey's mother, Cindy, describes the odor in her daughter's car as smelling like a dead body.
The series of calls on July 15, 2008, represents the first time law enforcement became aware of the disappearance of Casey's daughter, Caylee Marie.

Casey Anthony, 24, is charged with first degree murder in her 2-year-old daughter's death. Caylee's remains were found in late 2008, months after she was reported missing.

Usually such 911 calls are considered hearsay and can only be admitted with certain legal exceptions.

The prosecution argues, in part, that Cindy Anthony's calls amount to "excited utterances," which should be admitted because such statements are not contrived.

Prosecutors say they want the calls admitted because they show a progression of "fabrications" Casey Anthony concocted about her daughter's disappearance upon learning that her mother was getting law enforcement involved.

But today, Casey Anthony's defense team said Cindy Anthony's statements in the third 911 call "were purposely contrived by Cindy Anthony in order to get law enforcement to her home," an assertion that counters the "excited utterance" argument.

Cindy Anthony has said on national television that she mentioned the smell to get authorities to come to her home faster.

The defense team of Cheney Mason and Jose Baez also argued in their memo that Cindy Anthony's comment about the odor amounts to an opinion by a "lay witness," an opinion that could mislead a jury or prejudice the defendant.
There is no predicate, nor ability to have a predicate, that Cynthia Anthony ever smelled a decomposing body or had any basis, therefore, to state a lay opinion," according to the memo. "Speculation such as this is not permissible. The prejudice is clear."

Citing the failure of the state to meet legal thresholds, the defense concluded, "statements related to smell or odor clearly must be prohibited."

Today's hearing comes immediately after the defense team and its high-profile experts spent two days inspecting evidence collected in the case.

Another issue being taken up today involves reconsideration of earlier rulings in the case made by Circuit Judge Stan Strickland regarding Texas EquuSearch, whose volunteers were involved in early searches for the child.

The earlier rulings concerned the release of information about volunteers who searched an area near where Caylee's remains were discovered much later in the case.

Texas EquuSearch attorney Mark NeJame argues in a 14-page motion also filed today that the earlier rulings should be upheld. NeJame also cites several "unprofessional comments" made by Mason in dealings with his office. NeJame said he intends to address those comments in court.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Two years ago today, Cindy Anthony frantically called 911 to report her granddaughter Caylee had disappeared. Now that call is taking center stage in a hearing in the case against Cindy’s daughter, Casey Anthony.


In the 911 call, Cindy says Casey’s car smelled like it had a dead body in it. Casey's lawyers do not want the 911 call used in the murder trial.

The defense says the talk of a dead body in the car is nothing more than Cindy's opinion and amounts to hearsay, which is normally not admissible in trials.

Prosecutors say they need the 911 calls because they show Casey lied for months about what happened to her daughter.

“There's something wrong. I found my daughters car today and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car,” exclaimed Cindy Anthony in the 911 call.
Cindy was frantic when she called 911 for a third time exactly two years ago Wednesday, and she seemed convinced her granddaughter Caylee's remains had been in Casey’s white Pontiac Sunfire. The defense says it is nothing more than her opinion.

Cindy had called 911 earlier in the day to report Caylee missing after Casey confessed to her that she had not seen her own daughter in 31 days.

“Um, I have someone here that I need to, um, be arrested in my home and there's a possible missing child. I have a three-year-old that's been missing for a month,” Cindy told the 911 dispatcher.

“A three year old?” asked the dispatcher.

“Yes,” answered Cindy.

“Have you reported that?” asked the dispatcher.

“I'm trying to do that now ma'am,” replied Cindy.

Prosecutors say the series of calls is the beginning of a string of lies Casey told as investigators tried to figure of what happened to Caylee. Forty-five minutes later, Cindy called dispatchers even more distraught. Casey's lawyers will argue she was simply trying to get sheriff's deputies to her home.
We're talking about a three-year-old little girl. My daughter finally admitted that the babysitter stole her. I need to find her,” Cindy told the 911 dispatcher.

Casey's attorneys have been at the sheriff's office maintenance facility the last two days, reviewing the evidence collected at three different crime scenes. At Wednesday’s hearing, they are expected to ask Judge Belvin Perry if that evidence can be tested again.

"It's our typical live set," said "In Session" spokeswoman Gina McKenzie. The set will be up until 3 p.m. Friday.

As well as she stated that to a 911 dispatcher directly - early in the case she explained that she wanted the police to come to her house by stating that the car was stolen.  She hadnt mentioned her missing granddaughter yet - why? we know why.

The 911 call comes in as it is the key action of the case making it known to the world to begin with & it exhibits Casey indifferent while her mother was in hysteria.  It will come into evidence that Cindy Anthony returned to work that day & ignored the advice of her co-workers to call 911 then.   It will be asked why the Anthonys did not call 911 right from the tow yard, or at least I would hope so.

IMO she heard it from a voice that she never listens to,  reason. It's no wonder she didn't realize it, she's always blocked it out.  ::MonkeyDevil::

Fingers crossed for you too AK, I know what you're going thru as it happends here often.   Foxnews national cable even touched on it, so the networks are expecting this hearing to be rather significant.

I am confused about the phone calls placed to 911 by Cindy. They are talking about the " 3" calls placed on July 15, 2008. The state wants 2 of the 3 calls to be used as evidence. 
My confusion is the call, the call that Cindy placed to the " Police Dept" wanting to know where she could " have her Daughter" charged with Grand Theft and Stealing money.

This video was made by Sierra on YT who we all know is credible for her contributions. Sierra has this labeled as " Call #1" placed on July 15th, 2008 by Cindy Anthony  to 911.

My confusion is this call. The day of July 15th, 2008. Cindy claims and Amy H has said in interview to LE - that Cindy and Amy went to Tony's to find Casey. Once Casey is found at Tony's, Cindy demanded that Casey leave with her. Amy was with Cindy in the same car? Or they followed each other? Was Amy present in the car when Cindy made this call to 911? Casey and Cindy are in the car, was this first call made to 911 placed directly after Cindy yanked Casey from Tony's Apt?

I am trying to figure out the time line of the day? from these calls placed.

In the first call placed to 911 by Cindy, she states that her car was stolen, she found it and retrieved it today. Casey is obviously sitting in the car with Cindy. You can hear her at the end of the call saying " if this is the way you want to play" to Cindy( paraphrased). Cindy makes a statement that next step is going to the courts ( for Caylee to be removed from Casey) - At the time of this first call:

Was Cindy aware of the Smell? when she made the first 911 call?  Remember she was at work, they/GA/CA found the car at the tow yard/or were given notice the car had been towed, and then she returned to work. She went to work and made remarks to her office manager that the car smelled .. ( or am I wrong) and the office manager/coworker said GO Home and find out what is going on....
Cindy is calling from her Cell phone to Police (( sounds like she is in her car with Casey and Cindy is wanting to take Casey to the police dept -this call is not placed from the house))
I am trying to understand when this call was placed by Cindy, first her disposition. She appears not to know that Caylee is missing/nor does she sound concerned of Caylee's where abouts yet.  She sounds like she is actually seriously " punishing/placing the 911 Call " Casey stealing the car, money etc.. why she does not make mention of Amy H's money ..I guess it didn't matter. But Amy had said that Casey stole from her too.  This call def would have to have been placed after Cindy/Amy found Casey at Tony's. (( But it sounds late in the Day, because the Police Dept is closed for the day)) The officer directs Cindy to go to another office, for her to press charges.

So at the time of this call placed by Cindy - Did she know "for sure" that the death smell was in the car? She had to have. Because Lee made such statements as OMG .. Casey's car was in the garage and it was horrifying.. Dad had opened all the windows to air it out. They would have to have a time stamp receipt for picking the car up from the tow yard.
At some point, LEE went to Tony's to pick up Casey's laptop and belongings. * I swear that Lee said he went to the house mid day - that Cindy Called Lee and said get over here now. 

How does she go from this call *of calm  " I am pressing charges, taking Caylee away" to ... Calling 911 again screaming " We picked up the Car from the Tow Yard today and it smells like there was a dead body in the damn car" ......"

Didn't Cindy think initially it was strange that Caylee was not with Casey at Tony's - that something was terribly wrong then? Casey saying Caylee was with the Nanny. Would it not make sense to GO GET CAYLEE right then and there and forget about all this nonsense of her stealing the car, money etc.  Casey was hanging out with her BF, no Caylee in sight. That Casey had been away from the house for a month .. Cindy had no contact with Caylee for weeks. 

There seems to be a " huge piece of day" is missing within these calls. What happened in between the phone calls placed to 911 by Cindy?? Why is this so confusing to me?

They go to the tow yard - Car is retrieved. Death smell is noted by GA/LE/CA and Tow yard employee.
4. Casey is dragged from Tony's by Cindy - she has been away for a month from home.

Any one else notice when they replayed the memorial on In Session and Lee was doing his CMA blathering he kissed his black braclet several times first?  In the letter dump Malory wrote Casey asking where she got the black braclet as Lee broke his and it meant so much to him.  Hmmm, Now I really believe the CMA drivel was all meant for Casey.

The Casey Anthony preview: It has become a staple of noon newscasts when there’s big news coming in the afternoon.

The stations today talked about this afternoon’s hearing, where Cindy Anthony and Lee Anthony are expected to testify. Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich said that Cindy Anthony “has changed the story around her frantic 911 call three times and we might see this afternoon what it’ll be today. We also might hear Casey brother’s Lee for the time since she accused him of sexually abusing her.”

The stations explained the fight over Cindy’s 911 calls and whether they’ll be included at the murder trial.

The defense says they are hearsay and inadmissible. WKMG-Ch. 6’s Mike DeForest noted that prosecutors say Cindy “displays raw emotion in those calls,” and that the recordings “should be allowed at trial under an exception to the hearsay rule called excited utterance.”

DeForest predicted that a lot of people will be watching Lee Anthony’s reaction since it has been close to two years since he has seen his sister.

WESH-Ch. 2’s Jeff Lennox highlighted the family reunion aspect of today’s hearing. “George, Cindy, Lee and Casey Anthony will all be in the same courtroom for the first time in two years,” Lennox said. “They haven’t been seen together in a courtroom since Casey Anthony was indicted on murder charges back in October of 2008.”

Lennox also included legal analyst Richard Hornsby’s theory that Casey’s allegation that she was sexually abused — by her father and brother — could save her life if she is convicted of murder.

The hearing starts at 2 p.m.

The calls do not add up to common sense
1. Call number one - I am pressing charges - Casey in the car with Cindy ( she obviously didn't take Casey to the Police, she drove home instead).  * the police station was closed at the time of this call, call placed after office hours? 5pm??
2. Call number two - Cindy- My car has been stolen, I want an officer now  - call placed from house
3. Call number three - My Grand daughter is missing and it smells like a dead body in the damn car - call placed from house
** Tow Yard is first in the day, they go to retrieve the car, GA brings gas cans.
** Lee was called sometime right after the Car was brought home by GA - early Afternoon - Your Sister is in trouble, get here now
** Cindy returned to work, after car is found, to be told by coworker to leave

After work then, did she/CA scoop up Amy and go to Tony's? Grab Casey and drag her home.
The car was already noticed of the Death Smell ..but Cindy makes no notation of it, in the first call to the police. Gah - the time line is off. Something is missing in the middle of the day - and it points to Cindy.

Linda is slowly, and softly laying the foundation that cindy was honest in the 911 call when she said "it smelled like there's been a dead body in the damn car".  Either cindy doesn't see it coming, or she is steering the bus to run over casey, while pretending to be on her side.

Meanwhile, a couple of micro-expressions indicate that Cindy told a half truth about where the 2nd call was made. She didn't remember if it was from the house phone or cell phone but it was from the house. (possible lie).
Could it be that she was still in the car sitting there yelling at Casey to tell her where Caylee was and they were right where Casey disposed of her? It was close enough to the house that Cindy would consider it home. It was close enought to ping the house area. But Cindy didn't know at the time and Casey was trying to tell her where Caylee was. And Cindy was in a panic, in denial, and frantic.

I think for the first time " Cindy realizes" the snare she is in. Once Ms. LDB came into the picture.  She can't run nor hide now - or create statements out of thin air.

Jar's making the argument that Cindy's and George's opinion about the smell is a lay person's opinion only. Also, since Cindy went back to work after getting the car, she had most of the day to contemplate the odor and could hardly have an excited utterance that night about it.

Is proven within the 911 calls made by Cindy. The Calls are " not hearsay" in my mind.

OK, I'll probably be in trouble for this...but I felt sorry for Lee today.  It has been speculated in the past that he has symptoms resembling Aspergers.  I have a niece with Aspergers, and he reminds me so much of her.  The "inappropriate" affect, the laughing during times of stress, etc.  This whole thing is tragic.

I swear the 2nd call was made from the site where Casey was dumped. And Casey probably was ready to confess and Cindy pissed her off. Then they went home, Lee showed up and the 3rd call was made when Casey said she wouldn't cooperate with Lee.

Once the police arrived they probably accused the whole family and put them on the defense... and a cover up was born.

Will Casey's defence attempt to explain away her father's words regarding the "smell of death".

Casey Anthony team tries to block 911 tape's use

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's mother says she was under stress when she told a 911 dispatcher that her daughter's car smelled like a dead body had been in it.

Cindy Anthony testified Thursday during a pretrial hearing in Orlando. Casey Anthony's defense attorneys are trying to stop the 911 recording from being used during a trial scheduled for next May.

Cindy Anthony says she sensed a lack of urgency when she called 911 in July 2008 and that she said whatever would get the dispatcher's attention so that officers would come out to her house.

Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty to killing her 2-year-old daughter. She says a baby sitter kidnapped her daughter, Caylee. The toddler's remains were found about six months after Casey Anthony said she last saw her alive.

Nut, if he has Aspergers, then he really can't help it.  I have two relatives that are high functioning autistic children and I feel for them and their parents.  People are always shocked by some of their behaviors, even after years of therapy.  They look normal, and are both attractive kids, so it's not apparent just by looking.  It's the reason I can feel compassion, yet that nagging doubt that he may just be strange because he's an anthony.

you won't get the truth from her, Newfie.  I think she called because she HAS to be in control.  Casey wouldn't return her calls, wouldn't let her see Caylee, had stood her up at Universal when she said she'd meet her there to let her see Caylee... it's all about CONTROL.  She thought she could break casey, the first call didn't break her, the second didn't break her, cindy was so INFURIATED that casey was defying her, she kept "upping the ante".  She didn't think casey would LET her call, if she had really done something to Caylee.  In her mind, she knew casey was capable, but her heart wouldn't go there.

Bobo saying the entomologist could not identify some of the bugs as they were tiny and he did not have the equipment there.

Ashton saying they offered a year and half ago to send samples to him. 

Bobo filed a motion for protective order this morning to protect a phone call from a potential witness.

Linda stood up and said it had to do with a jail inmate that she had mentioned to Bobo she was getting a copy of, next she finds out he filed the protective order and as she does not have it yet there is nothing to protect. 

Told them to set it for a hearing and told Bobo to notify the correctional institute.  (Obviously he did not)

Now Bobo talking about KC falling on her face in the elevator,  Bobo is requesting that she not have feet shackles on as they are uncomfortable for her.  (cry me a flipping river). 

Judge takes it under advisement but pointed out that as soon as she left the courtroon the shackles go back on for the rest of the building. And he gave Bobo a weird look( like, and you know she fell on her face out there you putz)

He asked the Court for special privileges for " Princess Anthony" seems that her " ankle bracelets" in court are making her suffer. That " from sitting long periods of time, with the ankle bracelets on, are cutting off her circulation" causing her pain..etc..

Judge Perry said he would take it under advisement. He said you do know that she will HAVE to Wear them before and after Court no matter what. And Bobo said Yes, I understand.

Give me a flipping break. So what?  she cannot cross her legs .. seems for the last few years she had that problem and it never bothered her before.

OMG CJBP pretty much called Ms "Citnee" Anthony a liar in his ruling.  I had no doubts about the motion being denied, heck the defense didnt even read case law to find out one of the cases they cited was overruled, geez.    I feel that the State has a few other ways to expose those 911 calls for what they are, more on that later...good gravy another year after 2 have gone by.   Wonder how the Ants felt having to relive their cover up on the 2 year anniversary of how Caylee's murder came to light.   Lee is one weird dude, how the H E double hockey sticks can he utter "I love you" to that monster after her accusations...ugh this family makes my head explode!   It is mystifying how any commentator or legal pundit can feel sorry for any of them...their lies & behavior are so evident.

George didnt jump up and state that he doesnt want to hear decomposing again but he had his usual court room scowl on.   Casey was stonefaced & didnt even flinch any time decomposing or death was mentioned....speaks volumes.   Something else I noticed is very apparent in Casey now, she used to slut strut and flip her hair with the attitude that she was all that and a bag of chips, now she is using her hair to conceal her face & her cockiness is diminishing.      She is screwed, blued & tattooed, I just wish the trial wasnt so far off.

The tapes are coming in, as many times as I have listened to them, there will be nothing like hearing them, the same time the jury does.  Judge Perry sure knows his law, the way he can recite from memory is amazing, he is crossing his t's and dotting his i's.  When the jury finds Casey guilty as charged it is going to stick forever and never be overturned. 

Today was a good day for justice and I am so relieved to be a monkey and not have to go through this alone.  Thank you all for the links, I had to go back and forth between several to keep things going.

I really don't see how Judge Perry could decide that Casey will not have to wear shackles.  Seems that she should have to do, whatever every other defendent in a Capital Murder case has to do.  What makes her circulation more important than anyone elses?  If he does decide that I will surely miss that jingle, jangle, jingle........

I have a feeling the Jar is going to be trying to get a plea deal.  Between dealing with asking for every penny as she in indigent, to those really scary reporters (go Kathi) and the pesky sunshine rule.  Then you have a witness they were counting on to testify a different way (way to go Linda for get Cindy to recall) and him having to drone own more than normal to try to discount it, yup he picked the right case to hang his retirement on.

Good post, ITA, especially about kc's demeanor.  I think she must be on some meds to help her control the obsessive tics that she had before but God almighty, she's one hard cold b*tch.

I have a steno pad of 40 or so pages of notes - from the moment Cindy sat on the stand.

I have to go back and pull the notes together but the One thing that " caught" my attention of ALL that Cindy stated was about the time line " of the car being brought to the Ant house"

Her recall of when the car was placed into the garage. She said the " Car" was placed in her normal parking spot. The right side of the garage - inside the garage.

I have to go back and gather - but what perplexed me so was her recall of " herself" going into the car and retrieving Casey's clothing items. That she took them "Casey's Clothing" into the house " They smelled really bad" and she put them in the washing machine. She then goes on within her statement - of time line that she came home WAY later and took them out of the dryer. There is a huge missing piece of time here -within her recall.

Yet she said she was only home for a " moment" when the car was first brought back by George. So how does one " remove the clothing, wash them, wait for the washing cycle, put them in the dryer- And yet only be home for a Moment and then return to work.

For her to Later on recall- the day progressing hours later  ((( didn't happen the way she said today in court - no way))) Time does not match up.
She says when she returned home from work she removed Casey's clothing from the Dryer.
George was said to have left right away because he too had to be at Work.  He didn't put the clothes in the dryer. 

** the clothing of Casey were saturated with the smell of Decomp. Why did she even bother to wash them? With Cindy being a clean freak why did she not just throw them away? she didn't bother to throw them away ? because they had evidence of Caylee on them, Is my thoughts.  She felt she had to wash them. Even possibly to throw them out after.

Tks & ITA with you regarding Lee.   I am far from unsympathetic, but frankly I dont give a hoot if he does or does not have a disorder/condition.   Regardless of its presence or not, surely he knows the difference between right and wrong & frankly IMHO his laughter at times is more mocking the situation rather than a nervous reaction.   Considering his refusal to cooperate after he got his boxers in a knot with OCSO, I'd say that may be why I sense that of him.   I loathe this entire family for disrespecting Caylee's memory by protecting the very person that killed her, as I see it....again I dont give a dang if she is a blood relative or not.   To be honest, I'd never have to confront anything like this with my children as many of you but I can tell you this had one of mine killed anyone much less an innocent child I would not be in denial nor protect them.   Being a parent who loves their child does not equate to denying, condoning, concealing or enabling bad behavior much less a heinous crime.

She went to work as usual
GA places a call to her at work that she has to meet him at the tow yard. That she has to be present for the car to be released " her name is joint on the title - she has to sign the paperwork" and that she has to bring $500.00 to get the car out of impound.

Cindy states that she was told/aware that the car had been held prior to the date of July 15th. She makes remarks of "4th of July" that the car had been at the Tow Yard prior to 4th of July. That because of the Holiday - she was not notified - that the 4th of July caused a delay for her to find out* mail* yet she then found out-  the car had been impounded prior to the 4th.

Why did Cindy follow George home after she had left work to get $$$ for the towyard charges, and to take George to pick up the Pontiac that day?  (Two years ago today.) Why did she not take George there to pick up the Pontiac, chew out the towyard employees because she had to cough up so much money, see that George got the Pontiac started, and then head back to work where she belonged?

Since the discovery that the Pontiac had been abandoned and towed meant that harm might have befallen Casey and/or Caylee, why didn't Cindy call work and say, I have a life or death emergency and won't be back today?

Or, since George recognized that awful smell at the towyard, why didn't he call 911 IMMEDIATELY instead of driving it off the property with all the windows down, in the rain?  Why didn't he tell Cindy right then and there, that the car smells like a dead body, so we can't drive it away; we have to call the police right now?  Why didn't they call 911 like any normal person would have done under the circumstances?


Another thing:  Correct me if I am wrong, but IIRC, Cindy was not asked today about the text message she sent to Casey at 4:27pm that afternoon (after getting the car home, hiding it in the garage, sending George back to work, and proceeding to meddle with evidence in the murder of her granddaughter), which read,

CALL ME ASAP. MAJOR PROB.


Cindy lied a lot today.  One of the biggest lies was about what she told Amy on July 15, 2008, after picking her up so that Amy could lead her to Tony's apartment where Casey was staying.  Cindy knows good and well that in that conversation, she described to Amy how she and George had discovered Casey's car that day, and that it smelled like a dead body.  She told Amy that she and George were afraid when they opened the trunk, that the smell might mean that Casey's and/or Caylee's dead body might be in that trunk.  She perjured herself today about this conversation. 

I think Cindy has also lied about believing Casey's story that Zanny took Caylee.  She knew Casey was a habitual liar.  She knew Casey had been lying to her the whole time that Caylee was "missing."  If Cindy truly believed there was such a person as Zanny, and believed that Caylee was with Zanny, why would she have believed Casey's made-up story that Zanny had taken Caylee 31 days before?  If Casey had dropped off Caylee with Zanny and then not been able to locate or call Zanny after that, how could Cindy just assume that it was a kidnapping?  That Zanny "took" Caylee?  There was never any ransom note; never any communication from Zanny.  All she "knew" was that according to Casey, Caylee was STILL ALIVE, because Casey had received a call THAT VERY DAY (what a coincidence, right?) from Caylee.  Why would Cindy believe pathological liar Casey that Caylee called that day, that Caylee was still alive, and that Zanny had 'stolen' Caylee 31 days earlier?  She would NOT, IMO.  I think she lied about this, too.

There is one other thing I am thinking about:  It has always bothered me a great deal, that Cindy did not question Tony and Nathan when she barged into their apartment that day supposedly desperately searching for Caylee.  Nor did she bother to ask Tony if she could search his apartment for Caylee or Caylee's toys or belongings or any clues that Caylee might have been staying there.  It seems as if she already KNEW that Casey was there, but that Caylee was NOT.  Why would Cindy have assumed that?  It bothers me.

Thursday’s hearing in the Casey Anthony case marked the first time in over a year George, Cindy and Lee Anthony have all appeared in court together.

When Lee walked up to the witness stand and saw Casey for the first time in a long time, the two had an emotional exchange.

Lee could be seen mouthing “I love you” to his sister, Casey.

“I’m assuming you weren’t speaking to me just now,” prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick responded.

“Absolutely not,” Lee said.

After the remark Casey burst into tears.

Just a few months ago, letters written by Casey in jail were made public where she said her brother had sexually molested her when the two were younger.

Cindy and George arrived at court separately from Lee and his girlfriend on Thursday.

Lee did hug his parents in an apparent show of family unity.

Cindy Anthony was subdued, and Lee Anthony was giggly but succinct at a hearing today in Casey Anthony’s case.

Some observers expected fireworks, but that drama never materialized, although there were some strange moments. Judge Belvin Perry ruled that Cindy’s 911 calls will be heard at the murder trial next year, giving the prosecution a victory.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. Her defense team had sought to have mother Cindy’s 911 calls thrown out as hearsay.

In an analysis for WOFL-Ch. 35, Orlando attorney Diana Tennis theorized that Perry saw Cindy Anthony’s comments as “in-the-heat-of-the-moment statements” and took into account Cindy’s repeated statements that she had been hysterical. “That’s why he decided it wasn’t hearsay,” Tennis said.

WKMG-Ch. 6’s Tony Pipitone said Perry’s ruling “gives the state some wide latitude in how to tell a narrative, a story” about why Casey should be convicted. Pipitone cited Cindy’s testimony about how frantic she had been as key to Perry’s decision. 

 

WESH-Ch. 2’s Amanda Ober said, “The prosecution is hoping that these calls will show Casey Anthony’s increased propensity to tell lies as she feared that law enforcement was getting involved.”

WFTV-Ch. 9’s Kathi Belich zeroed in on Cindy Anthony’s testimony. “Cindy said she couldn’t remember about 14 times and tried to back off of what she had said early on in the case, but really didn’t convince the judge,” Belich said.  “She also shocked the courtroom today — actually, a hush fell over the courtroom — when she said still believes Caylee is alive, a year and a half after she held Caylee’s funeral.”

WKMG’s Mike DeForest called Cindy’s Caylee-still-is-alive statement “eye-opening.”

Ober highlighted that Lee Anthony mouthed “I love you” at his sister, Casey, as he took the stand. “She burst into tears,” Ober added.

WOFL-Ch. 35 also highlighted Lee’s ”I love you” to his sister as he took the stand.

“Casey did cry in the courtroom today, she then gained her composure and was looking pretty stoic throughout the rest of it, WOFL’s Holly Bristow reported. Lee repeated “I love you” when he left the stand, Bristow said.

Bristow said Lee Anthony “was pretty good on the stand today,” he was “pointed in answering in the questions” and he “kept his composure.”

WOFL analyst Tennis said that prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick repeatedly had Cindy Anthony acknowledge that she recognizes the smell of dead bodies — undercutting the defense argument to keep her calls out.

That made Cindy “look not as honest as she would like to have liked to look today,” Tennis said. “I’m hoping that the defense takes this as a little bit of practice for Cindy for when they get to trial and perhaps she’s not going to be so easily impeached at that point.”

Judge Perry also today granted the defense’s request to seal the list of evidence its experts examined this week, WFTV reported.

I just saw it Cappy, he even put devil ears up behind JVM.  I can't imagine having him defend anyone for a parking ticket, much less capital murder.  Casey sure ended up with the attorney she deserved.  They just played Lee mouthing "I love you", makes me feel sick to my stomach.  Where did these people come from?

No respect for the court system, Mason can't even get up to speed on a capitol case, apparently none of the attys advised Lee & mallory to be respectful (there's a lot of restarants that would NOT have let them in in those clothes. And now this from baez, he gets his first halfazzed thumb up for performance and he immediately trashes it.  The man has no ambition except to be the talking head on one of these shows, guess he wants to be sure the exec's see his playful side. In my opinion (and I have said this from first watching him) he has all the markers of adult aspergers. I am not sure that KC doesn't also after watching her more and more.

People with Aspergers can’t seem to comprehend expectations of appropriate social behavior and are often unable to determine the feelings of those around them. People suffering from Asperger's syndrome can be said to lack both social and emotional reciprocity. His speech patterns were the first clue to me in the beginning. when he exhibited odd or abnormal verbal communication skills. His laughing at very inappropriate questions and his strange facial expressions in response to people around him.

Cindy said he was very ill as an early teen so he had acquired no friends, which is very typical of a child who is borderline autistic or with Aspergers because of their strange ideas and behaviors. By the time a young person is a teen, they already have a strong friend base, so most likely he never had friends.

This family is a very CLOSED family. The kids never were allowed to have their friends over and it was evident in the beginning that the adult Anthonys had no friends. Where a family is that closed there are a lot of hidden secrets. I believe because CA was such a perfectionist that she could not accept that her kids could have something wrong with them. I think she has hidden this all the years. Think about a young man like him just "parking cars."  No college, KC didn't graduate from HS or go to college. I am assuming that Lee graduated, but we never did find his senior pictures in their school annual. He may have dropped out prior to being a senior. Who knows?

I do know watching his depositions, the off the wall action toward the poor woman sitting there with her dog and every other action that something is wrong with him. He is high functioning but not really capable of a higher level type position.  

And knows the law backwards and forwards. When he comes to court he is prepared and has read everything which pertains to the case. I am very impressed.

When Cindy "overheard" Casey saying that she hadn't seen Caylee in 31 days, Cindy immediately said, Who took her? This is when the Zanny the nanny/kidnapping story materialized. Casey saw an opening and went for it.

The A's are whacko, but I do not believe they knew (on July 15/16) that Caylee was dead less than a quarter of a mile away from their house, and I don't believe any of the allegations of sexual molestation against George or Lee.

I really think Cindy knew today she was in a no win situation, and no matter how hard she tried, she still admitted she was hysterical and frantic when she called 911. How the Jar could claim either of the A's were lay persons is beyond me. One was a cop, the other a nurse (of decomposition as she once claimed, lol). The Jar didn't even know that George wasn't home when Lee arrived. He must really be deaf, because even if he hasn't researched the case, I could swear Lee said it at the hearing when LDB was questioning him.

Desdemona - I have always been in awe of your ability to decipher the facts into simple terms which make so much sense.  I agree with you.

I have always wondered WHY Amy would tell Cindy to "wait outside" at Tony's if Cindy had never met Amy before and WHY Cindy would do that. Can you see a grandmother who had been stressing over her grandchild for 31 days just standing there waiting until her lying, promiscuous daughter decided to come out to see her?  Not in your wildest dreams would that happen. I would have been the FIRST one in that apartment looking for that baby and to hell with the rest of them. Cindy embarrassed KC all her life, so  WHY all of a sudden did she "respect" her feelings? She is such a liar. She lied numerous times today or lied other times she told her "stories" and that is good because she will have to account for all of that in the trial.  

Absolutely agree.  He even quoted a case from July, 2010.  He is sharp, smart, and will not be buffaloed by this group.  It amazes me the reason the jar states for his lack of preparation, "that was before I came on the case."  The jar's actions are not professional and wanting to mis-state what the witness is saying in his summary will get him in real trouble during the trial -- if there is one.  Totally funny using case law to support their position that was overturned.  What a farce!  Unfortunately, momster may get a new trial because of poor representation.  Her life from now on will be court appearance after court appearance, oh the price of fame.

Another thing which brings Aspergers to mind recently was the story that KC told about awaking and finding Lee in her room with a flashlight shining on the walls. Many people with Aspergers seem to be fascinated with lights and he if he did fondle her, that would also fit because he would have been very delayed in the sexual sense. To som eone delayed like that a family member would feel safer than an outside female. It is just the nature of the disorder.

Then we go to my "theory" of them all going to throw George under bus before this is all over. In a secret family system, ONE child will always act out the family secret. If Lee was developmentally slow, and he knew that George had been molesting KC, then he would automatically try to mimic his father because he would not understand the dynamics of something like that yet.

 ::MonkeyBike:: I am back .........WOW .. what a storm I had here.  I thought my computer was blown and lost for good.  Came down like a hammer and I had no notice. The neighbor across the street has a " TREE" covering not only their front yard, but their entire drive way - and .......they have no trees in their yard. I don't know who's tree " landed" in their yard yet.
Was for 30 mins a mini hurricane here - you could not even see out the windows ..it all plunked itself out of the sky. No warning what so ever.  GAH .. Mother Nature at her finest.

I have to gather up my notes taken of Cindy yet.  Big Exhale. I still am stuck on her version of the notice of the car at the impound and what she did when the car was in her garage. How she was able to " take Casey's clothing" and wash them/dry them - First. Not thinking of anything else ..when she had not seen Caylee in several weeks ( her words from today not mine).

I still have not heard if the state ever got a deposition from that woman that claimed to be LE when she was CA's friend and just a wildlife rescue worker.

Turbo, does it seem that if he has this condition he would be in such awe of his sister that he would be willing to make the sacrifice of his freedom for hers?  Today confirmed to me that he is still devoted and not the least bit embarrassed to publically announce to the world his undying affection. Brings me back to the memorial, the CMA howl and the "promise". Maybe he promised if she got all the way to the trial he would throw the monkey wrench and say he did it?  Does it sound too crazy?

I did not catch that "WHO TOOK HER" - "who has her" until I was listening to that later in the case and it hit me like a rock - that was when they set up the kidnapping story. CA knew right then what happened and set the cover up for KC. If you watch they ALL take their clues from her and she will start a sentence and even GA will finish it. That was the moment that she KNEW and she started covering up for KC.

Going back to earlier today, I took notes on my steno pad of Cindy's testimony with Linda Drane Burdick. *spelling
Cindy was not only called on the carpet, she knew she had not much to reach for. I think it was Judge Perry's presence though, that she knew " no games allowed". That Judge Perry doesn't play even when he is silent. 
 
Lee's testimony on the stand today - I felt was of little worth. He did not offer much. He only offered his recall " little of" which is disturbing to all and any. That he could not add anything truly of meaning .. the day that his Niece was reported missing to the police. And that possibly she was dead - due to the smell in the car.

Though He did know the year of 2008, that day July 15th  = the smell of the car was so bad that GA kept the windows open. That the car was in the garage at the time and he/Lee did smell it. He is on record saying OMG the smell was so bad from the car when it was in the garage - its in his first testimony. ( laughter within his own words of that statement 2008)

I don't know what to think of this relationship between Casey and Lee. I missed Lee's " I love You" to Casey in court today. I am glad that I did. I know that is not a Brother/Sister gesture on any accord, I don't care what the circumstance. That is not normal.
I missed his whisper - yet only was able to see Casey break down and actually show emotion. When I saw Casey break down ( not knowing Lee whispered I love you) I thought it was Casey " thinking I let you down, your my older brother, I look up to you " and I am sorry. WOW was I off.

Lee is just Lee and I have yet to understand him at all. He is flat. No personality. No nothing.

I really don't know if his lack of emotional maturity would lead to such actions or not. His mouthing today was more on the level of about an 8 year old talking to someone. He certainly is "not right" in many ways and that response was so very crass for a court of law.

Curly " pretty much the same meaning" but Cindy didn't say " who took her" she said to Casey " What did you do?" .. Because Casey was being closed mouth and not saying much - that Cindy snapped and went Ape ShxT on her .. she said to Casey " What did you Do?" and I believe after the fact, when Casey said Nanny/Zanny- Cindy said WHO Took her?
All happened in seconds.  :( 

Thanks for the reply. Whatever he promised her must have been significant (at least to him) or he wouldn't have made such a spectacle and so far it doesn't appear that he's done anything at all.  Time will tell but after today I won't be surprised if he becomes a player in the circus down the road.

A judge ruled Thursday that a crucial 911 recording in which Casey
Anthony's mother tells a dispatcher that her daughter's car smells like a dead body can be used during the first-degree murder trial.

In an emotional hearing that brought Anthony and her mother to tears, Chief Judge Belvin Perry ruled that the audio recording can be heard in next May's trial. The entire Anthony family was in court together for the first time in more than a year.

Anthony's mother, Cindy, testified that when she called 911 on July 15, 2008, she was trying to get the dispatcher's attention so officers would come to her house faster. She also had made two calls about an hour earlier.

"I just said whatever I was thinking at the time to get them to come out," she said. "I was in shock. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was hysterical at that point."

Casey Anthony, 24, has pleaded not guilty and has said that a baby sitter kidnapped her daughter, Caylee. The toddler's remains were found about six months after her mother said she last saw her alive.

"I still think Caylee is alive," Cindy Anthony said during the hearing.

Anthony's defense attorneys tried to stop the call from being played at trial, arguing it is "hearsay" and an opinion by a "lay witness." Prosecutors, though, believe the call shows a progression of lies Anthony made about her daughter's disappearance.
Anthony began crying and covering her face with her hands after her brother took the stand and mouthed, "I love you." Lee Anthony also repeated the words out loud when he was finished testifying.

He recalled coming home and helping his mother confront Casey about her missing daughter. With both unable to get an answer, Lee Anthony described the scene leading up the 911 call as frantic and emotional.

"My sister reiterated that mom, I haven't seen Caylee in 31 days. That's where mom gets ... she was very angry," he said. "Her first reaction was she had a clenched fist and hit the bed that my sister was sitting on."

Prosecutors maintain that Cindy Anthony's calls amount to "excited utterances." They argued such statements — emotional or not — should be admitted because they are not premeditated.

During testimony, Cindy Anthony said she first picked up her daughter's car from an impound. She recalled her husband, George, telling her the vehicle smelled like something died and said that is where the reference came from.

Prosecutors then questioned Cindy Anthony, a nurse, about previous statements she made to authorities. One statement included having experience smelling rotting flesh and spending time in a morgue at her job.

"If that's what connected in my mind, yes," Anthony said. "I said what I said. I can't analyze it."

Right, Deenie. Cindy said both of these things which prompted Casey to concoct her kidnapping scenario.

I guess he is making claim to some knowledge as a witness- and LBD expressed frustration with him and other witnesses she is trying to get deposed. This guy signed on as a boat captain, when she said that Judge Perry said 'Does the boat come into port at all?'  I'm thinking he would have them pick him up at whatever port the boat came into , but LBD said she didn't know, his Mother confirmed that he was onboard and wouldn't be back till October. Sounds like a case of cold feet...

Deenie, Sorry you had such a rough night of storms. We had the Mother of all storms Friday night. We had severe thunder and lighting for over two hours. I have wind and hail damage to my roof, and all of my flowers were destroyed. Then another round Monday and Tuesday. Attorney: Casey Anthony's Family Will Always Love Her

(July 16) -- Casey Anthony's parents stand by her as she faces murder charges in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, the family's attorney said today following an emotional courtroom session that reunited the defendant with her mother and father and brother for the first time in over a year.

Anthony , who is accused of killing daughter Caylee two years ago, appeared at a pretrial hearing Thursday in Orlando, Fla. At the hearing, Judge Belvin Perry ruled that he will allow a jury to hear a 911 call made by Casey Anthony's mother, Cindy, in which she likens the smell emanating from her daughter's car to that of a dead body, The Associated Press reported.
Caylee was last seen on June 16, 2008, and her remains were found in December 2008 near the family home. Casey Anthony has long maintained her innocence and claims her daughter was abducted by a babysitter.

At one point during the hearing, Casey Anthony broke down when her brother, Lee, looked at her and said, "I love you."

When asked in an NBC "Today" show interview this morning if the family still stands "100 percent" behind Casey, attorney Brad Conway said, "They do. ... Love for a family member is not likely to change. They are a close family. They love each other, and regardless of what happens in this criminal trial, that will always stay the same."

Cindy Anthony testified that the 911 call, which was made on July 15, 2008, was her third attempt to get police officers to visit the house that day.
Casey Anthony's lawyers argued that the audio recording was inadmissible because it was based on hearsay, but prosecutors said the call is important in establishing the untruths behind Anthony's version of events surrounding the disappearance of her daughter.

"Whether they are true or false really has no bearing," said Perry, according to CNN. "They were designed to elicit statements from the defendant in this case, to ascertain the whereabouts of the victim in this particular case."

While on the stand, Cindy Anthony described the moment when she heard her granddaughter was missing.

"I overheard [Casey] say she hadn't seen Caylee for 31 days and that's when I ran in her room," she said, according to ABC News. "I was in shock. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. ... I was hysterical, at that point. I don't know if I went over and shook her or not, but I wanted to."

The murder trial is scheduled to begin in May.

hi Monks....does anyone know if the hearing has been loaded onto youtube?  I cant see the videos on WESH or WFTV....I missed so much of the hearing yesterday I think I need to see it in it's entirety.  I wish we knew what went on in the long sidebar...JP disappointed me in ordering that the DUHFence could take notes.....I feel so sorry for people who volunteered to help find Caylee and will now face the possibility of being harassed by her killer's attorneys...it just seems so unfair. And if JP allows her to be in court without the legs chains I will again be disappointed in his decision......why the F does SHE get special privileges....this is not the first nor will it be the last damned murder case in Orange County. I hope the jail objects fervently!!  And why is he allowing the texts exchanges between her and her slimy ass mother via their attorneys?  I know no one can answer that.....but I can still wonder. ::MonkeyTongue::

Yep, I agree with those of you who have said (and some who have been saying all along, lol) that it looks like Casey and duhfence is likely planning to toss Cindy and George under the bus.  We've been expecting that for quite some time.   

Am thinking that when it then comes down to Cindy and George, Cindy will likely toss George under the bus.  Then the cheese stands alone.  Am betting he will then blow sky high, and give up the truth on Casey.  Or attempt suicide for real. 

I have no doubts that:

*Casey will do everything possible to avoid mentioning her own guilt, implicating her own parents, while attempting to appear as Saint Victim.

*Cindy will fight to the finish and like Casey never mention her own guilt, twisting things to avoid sayng, 'Oh about that - yeah I lied'.  Either saying outright that 'George made me do it', or straight up implicating him in every way.

*Lee will use his 'immunity' countless times over, and give mushy kisses and googly eyes at Casey whenever possible.  He may have white hair like George by the time this trial is over.  Premature graying of the hair and stress have been linked.  Wonder if that can include knowing all about what yer sis has done but has been sworn to secrecy by Big-Mama-Lying-Thru-Her-Teeth.   (Mallory... why aren't you running yet? -opens door for ya, now git! while the gittin's good!- ) 

*George, without direction of his 'mommy dearest', will likely lay down in a tight ball and wanna die, spew the truth and then some, or both. 

*There will be at least one more 'perp walk' to look forward to.

All IMO.

I finally was able to go back to all my notes of Cindy's answers yesterday in court - 7/15/10
Why I think its important to see this in front of our eyes is because " I believe" that Cindy knew that evening of July 15, 2008 - Caylee was no longer alive. That she knew even prior to making the 3rd call to 911. It took Casey's fabricated story to sink into Cindy's head - that her thoughts "prior during the day or even prior to 7/15" were right. I also believe there that Cindy and Casey were alone "together" to be able to hash things things out, prior to going home for the evening. Prior to the two of them finding Lee waiting. I underlined the comments that Cindy "threw in" for what reason's she said them I do not know. Clothing/Washing/Drying and the Lanyard ??? I still cannot figure out how Casey's clothing went from the washing machine 4pm?, to fully dry when Cindy returned home at 5:30 pm.
She said she put them in the washing machine and left back to work. GA left for work. No one was there, to wait for the washing cycle, to then put them in the dryer* Unless Lee came over by instruction and Cindy told him to. ???? Her first recall of returning home from work at 5:30ish - I removed Casey's clothing from the dryer.  
My notes: Cindy's recall of the day and I have them broken down "according to what Cindy said yesterday in court". Which I find really interesting that it was Bobo's questions that the created my note taking. Not the States questions.  

July 15, 2008 - Cindy's statements

GA/CA are notified that the white Pontiac is at the tow yard.
GA calls CA at work and tells her he is at the tow yard. They will not release the car to him. Title paperwork shows joint names - Cindy's signature is required. They want 500.00 to release the car. * Cindy states that the Car had been held prior to July 4th. Possibly a snafu due to the holiday, they were not notified. Or missed the notice (??)

3:00 - 3: 30 PM
CA States she met GA at the tow yard prior to 3:30 pm. GA was noted saying prior to 3:00 pm he smelled the horrible odor in the car.

** CA adds in her recall. She had talked to Casey earlier that day. That she was unaware if GA had tried to contact Casey.
** CA - it was pouring rain that day and GA drove the car to our home "with the windows down". Once we arrived home, GA pulled the Pontiac into the garage. Parked it in my normal spot on the right side, inside the garage, windows down.
** CA - I looked inside the car and found some of Casey's clothing " They smelled really Bad" so I took them and put them in the washing machine.  
** CA - I then returned to Work. GA also left for his work, he had just started a new job.  

( these are Cindy's time's named - of her recall - I noted them as she told them )
3:30 - 4:30 PM
CA- I returned to work and was told to leave by my manager. I may or may not have said what to who - when I did return to work. I had some things to clean up and I stayed for about an hour.

CA- states 15 -25 min drive home. Traffic may have been lighter, I normally leave around 6:00/6:30 pm.

5:00 - 5:30 PM
CA- I did not stop off anywhere, went home, and I removed Casey's Clothing out of the Dryer.
6:00 PM
CA- I began going through the contents of the car. I found Caylee's toothbrushes, diapers, her backpack. Noting that the car seat/baby doll and items were inside the car, that belonged to Caylee.
Found an envelope with a stack of Amy H's resumes inside it. Casey's lanyard was also in the car.

6:30-7PM
CA- I called Amy H, from the phone number listed on her resume. Amy was at the mall.
I had never met Amy before. I asked her if she had seen Casey. She/AH said yes she picked me up from the airport this morning. Amy said that Casey was at Tony's Apt. CA asks Amy if she can pick her up at the mall. That they drive to Tony's together. Amy agrees. CA states to Amy that she has not seen Caylee in several weeks.

CA -states it is a 20 to 30 minute drive to the Mall, to pick up Amy.
Here is where the times get sticky

7:30 PM
CA- I go to Mall. Amy tells me what she looks like. Where to meet her inside. I have never met Amy before.  CA- states it is a 40 min drive to Tony's apartment from the mall.

CA - drive from Mall to Tony's " 40 mins to drive from Mall to Tony's Apt" . AH states she has only been to Tony's one time. Yet was able to locate his apartment easy. Drove all the way to the back and said it was either on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

CA- arrive at his building. Amy suggests that I wait outside the door. For her to enter the apartment first. I stay outside the door. I never entered the apartment. I only stuck my head inside the door. I was there for only seconds. I told Casey to get her shoes and we were leaving. I did not allow Casey to take her personal belongings.

CA - Back into Car, present CA, Casey and Amy. No yelling, no real conversation. I have respect for Casey.  

CA - I drove straight to drop off AH at her House. 20 Minute Drive from Tony's Apt to Amy's House.

CA - 8:45 PM I dropped off AMY at her house.

CA - Did not drive straight home with Casey. We drove around it seemed like forever. I believe for about 45 mins. It was dusk. Driving around * not clear if she said they were looking for Caylee.

*** If her timing is what she says - It would then be well after 9:30 when they stopped at the Police Annex.

CA- I pulled into the Police Annex and placed the first call to 911.  I did not know that the police station was closed. I called 911 and was directed to " Wait" for the Police to arrive that they would send someone out to my car, for me to pull off the road. I felt it was ( sic) so I drove home instead.
CA - reiterating that she had given Casey *2 Weeks to return the Pontiac and she did not.

CA - Arrived to my Home with Casey, Lee was there. GA was at work.

At the end of Judge Perry's statement " prior to offering his final judgment" he clearly stated the times of each 911 Call placed by Cindy Anthony.

Call #1 - placed at 8:08 PM - called stating I have a 22 yr old person I want to bring in
Call #2 - placed at 8:44 PM - I want to report my car stolen and I have not seen my 3 yr old Grand daughter in weeks
Call #3 - placed at 9:41 PM - the final call " I found my Daughter today and her car, My Grand Daughter is missing, and somethings wrong, its smells like there was a dead body in the damn car.

I wonder if Amy was in the Car, when Cindy placed the first 911 call? That Amy witnessed the call being placed by Cindy. That it gave Cindy all the more " Gusto" as it can be heard in Cindy's voice. That she wants Casey to be charged with Theft of the Car/Money and ...lastly saying were then going to court .. Ie: taking Caylee away ..

Because I thought in AH's LE interview she told Cindy " In the Car" that Casey had stolen her checkbook and her cash. That she had just got back from Puerto Rico and found out she was flat broke.

When Lee was on the stand and Mason was " asking him" questions..and that noise kept going off .. that buzzing noise. Judge Perry said " What are you doing Mr. Mason? "

The buzzing noise/interference sound coming from Mason as he was near the bench..

Mason said straight back like a whiplash in response .. "I don't know Judge Perry it's your court room". He replied it Very Snarky .. as It's your problem not mine.  Mason again is an Asshat. He cannot even project " clear concise questions" to people on the stand. He is too busy " Grand Standing" ...  me thinks he is a jerk. I hope he does bail. He is only going to create problems and push the trial out further and or create the trial to last much longer than it should. Adding Bobo in the mix and this could go on into 2012.  ::MonkeyShovel::
