FRISCO — Frisco police issued an alert Saturday for a teenage girl who has been missing since Friday night.

Bethany Stroud, 18, was last seen leaving her job at the Dr Pepper Arena at 9:30 p.m. Friday. Co-workers said she was walking toward her teal-and-black 1998 Pontiac Sunfire.

About 20 minutes later, dispatchers received a 911 call from Stroud's cell phone. "There was no conversation on the line," a statement from police said.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding Stroud and her vehicle, with Texas plates CXB-475. Call Frisco police at 972-292-6000 or contact your local police agency with any relevant information.

I skate sometimes at this rink, it is the Star's practice rinks and it is a huge building with a big parking garage. I pray she is found safely.  an angelic monkey

Frisco police looking for missing 18-year-old female (Update)
February 18, 2012

 ::snipping2::
Stroud, who goes by "Beth", was last seen on Friday leaving the Dr. Pepper Arena, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Stroud is employed at the Dr. Pepper Stars Arena. According to other employees, she was last seen walking toward her Teel two door, 1998 Pontiac Sunfire, which also has a black top. Her Texas license plate number is CXB475. Stroud's vehicle was parked on the south side of the Dr. Pepper Arena.

Frisco Dispatchers received a 911 call from Stroud's cell phone at approximately 9:51 p.m, on Friday. There was no conversation on the line. Stg. Brad Merritt of the Frisco Police Department said Stroud's parents contacted Frisco police today "sometime after midnight" to report her missing.
"Her parents actually contacted us early this morning," Merritt said. "When we got the 911 phone call, we did not know that we had someone missing at that point in time."

Merritt added that the police do know if there is any "foul play" involved in the case, but they're "not ruling it out either."

I am really worried about this young girl. Frisco is an affluent suburb of Dallas. It is a very nice area. I wonder if someone wasn't in her car already when she went out to it.

Prayers to find her quickly and safely.  an angelic monkey

Frisco PD Searching For Missing 18-Year-Old Woman

FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) – Frisco Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an 18-year-old woman who went missing Friday night after placing a 911 call without saying anything on the line.

Bethany Stroud, 18, was last seen leaving Dr Pepper Arena where she works at about 9:30 p.m. Employees say they saw her walking toward her teal-colored two-door 1998 Pontiac Sunfire on the south side of the arena.

A dispatcher reported no conversation on the end of the line, only muffled sounds. The call lasted 12 seconds.

Stroud did not show up for her Saturday morning shift at Plato’s Closet. The Stroud family has declined to comment, but did leave a note taped to their door.

FRISCO— Eighteen year old Bethany Stroud is known to her friends as "Beth". But no one has heard from her since she left work Friday night. "Everybody knows she's really sweet and a really nice person and she really doesn't deserve for this to be happening to her", said Amanda Guzman.

Amanda Guzman has known Bethany for a year. The two attend Lonestar high school together. She's says Bethany is not someone who would just up and leave. She works three jobs and is also enrolled in college courses.

"She's had all this stuff for a long time and I don't think that she would just run away randomly. Because she seemed to be handling it pretty  well and she does really well under pressure", Guzman said.

Bethany was working as a ticket taker at the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco Friday night. She left work around 9:30 pm and walked to her car. No one has seen her since.

Police have been trying to locate the phone without any luck and they say they can't find any activity on her debit card or bank accounts.

Frisco police locate 18-year-old Bethany Stroud, missing for the past 24 hours, in Oklahoma

A Frisco teenager found safe in Oklahoma on Saturday night told police she had been abducted at gunpoint after work and forced to drive to another state before she escaped when her captor exited the car.

The teen, 18-year-old Bethany Stroud, told Muskogee, Okla. police she was walking to her car outside the Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco around 8:30 p.m. when an unknown man kidnapped her. Frisco police received a 911 call about 90 minutes later from Stroud's cellphone, but the line went silent.

Over the next 24 hours, Stroud told police, she was forced to drive. For a few hours Friday night, she slept in a stranger's house. Before the sun came up Saturday, she was forced to start driving again, police said.

At some point Saturday, her suspected captor exited the car and Stroud drove away. Around 10 p.m., Stroud pulled up to a Braum's in Muskogee -- about 220 miles north of Frisco -- and called police.

"She didn't know where she had been," said Muskogee police Sgt. C.B. Abel, the first officer to make contact with her. "She said he made her drive and part of the time she rode in the vehicle's back seat."

Abel said that Stroud had several bruises but was not seriously injured. He said she appeared calm when he first talked to her but became more emotional as she recounted what had happened.
