Alert issued for missing Polk teenager

HAINES CITY - Authorities in Polk County are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenager.

Keisha Danielle Cook, 17, was last seen on Tuesday and family members are concerned.

According to a Polk County Sheriff’s Office report the girl’s mother contacted authorities when she did not come home from school. Investigators say the Haines City teen has left home before but she reportedly made statements about harming herself.

Wow, I live here in Polk County and somehow missed this.  Hope she comes home safe.

Great News!!!! I hope whatever is troubling this young girl is dealt with with love and tenderness.
